I'm finding it very interesting revisiting scores from a few years ago . . . and realising just how much they need to be 'tidied' in revision! Thanks for watching and leaving a generous comment - it's much appreciated!
Hello Graham. I admit I don't remember if I've ever heard this composition. Anyway, it's lovely. Obviously, I volunteered for the score. Thank you for this beautiful moment and have a good Sunday.
Absolutely delightful music and performance. I love the sound of the organ when played by experts such as your good self! Thank you, and bravissimo! 🎉🎹👌
Thank you very much! I really appreciate your continuing support and the delightful comments you always leave after being entertained by one of my compositions!
A beautiful performance dear Graham! Trumpet tunes have to be written bij British composers. And if you get a British Music Royalty Composer (BMRC) like you, the result is spectacular. Congratulations with your update piece of Joyfulness!
Thanks very much, Rien! It was interesting to revisit this score and tinker with it. (I'll probably be doing the same with some other Twist efforts as I'm sure they can all be tidied a little and given a good polish!)
Thanks, James! This was the first piece I ever wrote for you . . . and then went on to burden you with several other 'Twists for James'! Sorry. You'll just have to stop inspiring me!
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment - much appreciated! (I love the ambiguity of 'interesting'! Perhaps the piece has achieved that Marmite effect: ‘You either love It or hate It’ . . . and if you can't make up your mind . . . it's 'interesting'!)
How excellent that you re-recorded your “Trumpet Tune”, dear Graham. I remember so well when you recorded the first time in 2020, with the internal sounds of your digital organ. I also remember that the year 2020 was the year that we met on UA-cam and I remember that at that time I was very excited about organ music and everything about this instrument. My God, it seems like yesterday. Sometimes I get a little scared of time, which passes so quickly. It's a beautiful piece, which brings a good internal feeling of joy and positivity, and the fantastic sounds of hauptwerk made it even brighter. It is always a great pleasure to listen to your unique music and see you play beautifully, which helps me keep the flame burning on the organ. Thank you very much and many greetings to England.
Dear Graham, it is a very beautiful trumpet piece with a great sound. I don't think it's easy to play, even though you might think so when you hear it. In any case, I liked it very much and since I also play a little trumpet, I'm very enthusiastic about it anyway. Thank you very much for this beautiful recording and best wishes from Roland
Congratulations, Graham! You've done what many composers dread-improve on your own work. And, not just any piece, but the mighty 'Trumpet Tune'! Most of us can only add more stops and hope for the best, but you’ve managed to refine it with grace. That’s not just tuning the trumpet, that’s getting it to sound even more majestic! Bravo!" Please send a copy to my email right away! Thank you in advance. Theo
Always much too kind, Theo! The thing about trying to improve a piece of 'art' is that you have to accept there is really no end point (unless you happen to be a JSB or a Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni!). Perfection is a destination I'd like to arrive at . . . but I have realised that it is the journey I need to be enjoying more as creating something I am totally satisfied with is unlikely before I reach my own 'final' destination! In the meantime, a copy of the 'revised' score will be arriving in your inbox!
Haha! Good to hear from you - and thank you so much for watching and leaving a kind comment! I have to confess that I only listened to the original recording from 2020 the other day and I was surprised that my Chorum and the CM-100 sounded as good as they did! I've heard worse! Of course, the dream would be to play it on one of your fantastically voiced Physis instruments in Romanian or Bulgaria - or both . . . but sadly, those two destinations don't feature on my current travel itinerary (though I would be willing to walk to Lake Como if the opportunity arose: after all, Bach walked quite a distance to meet Buxtehude . . . so I'd do the same to meet you and play that Viscount Ouverture!).
Good to hear the reed stops.
Many thanks for watching and leaving a comment. The 'Trompette en chamade' is a fabulous solo reed on this organ!
A delightful Trumpet Tune! A good choice to add some reverb to this set.
Thanks, Ralph! A little reverb is always a kindness for an organist!
Yay Graham!
Haha! Thanks, Titus, I appreciate the 'Yay'!
Wonderful video!😀👍
Thank you very much: I appreciate you watching and leaving a comment!
Toller Vortrag Graham. Liebe Grüße aus Castrop-Rauxel.Gerhard
Vielen Dank - es hat mir Freude gemacht, diese Partitur noch einmal durchzugehen und ihr den letzten Schliff zu geben!
I've heard this Trumpet tune a few time but it never gets old! Bravo, dear Graham!

That's very kind of you, Aušra! I'm grateful for you watching and leaving a kind comment!
a little switch from your first recording but still the same Twist composition, I love it!
Thanks for catching it second time round!
@@grahamtwist I look forward to hearing more of your compositions!

Nice to hear a revised version of the trumpet tune! We can never have enough Twist compositions and it's even more special when Twist records Twist!
Thanks, James! This was the first piece I ever wrote for you . . . and then went on to burden you with several other 'Twists for James'! Sorry. You'll just have to stop inspiring me!
Absolutely wonderful Graham!👏👏👏❤️
Thanks very much, Peter!

What a lovely piece, Graham! Well, Hauptwerk sounds definitely better than the Chorum, no doubt, with or without CM-100! 😂
