Important note: He’s not using real lemon oil (that would be waaayyyy too acidic for your guitar) he’s using a mineral based oil with maybe 0.5-1% of lemon oil. I use Dunlop 65, but you can use any fretboard oil, just make sure not to buy pure lemon oil. So I’d recommend sticking to guitar companies like D‘Addario or Dunlop so you know that you don’t harm your fretboard

this is great advice especially the lemon oil it works great on a fingerboard and keeps the wood hydrated i usually only do this after playing for quite a while like every few months or even longer sometimes not everytime you change strings it can get quite annoying especially if you need to change strings fast

If you don't use a microfiber cloth or can actually scratch up your finish real bad. I used an ordinary cloth on an old guitar of mine and while it's not immediately noticable, you can see hundreds of tiny marks on the surface when you look up close. Think dragging a needle across the surface like a million times, that's about what it looked like.
Just a reminder that taking all the strings off at once can actually damage the truss rod. It’s much better for your guitar to replace a string or two at a time.
where do you get your tool for adjusting a truss rod. my truss rod has like a hexagonal, pentagonal, octagonal or whatever kinda shape in it where you insert the tool. i tried using my dad’s anal wrench but my truss rod didn’t budge. i have no idea what model my guitar is cuz my parents bought it for me and didn’t keep the receipt, but it’s a fender acoustic guitar i got around 4-5 yrs ago.

I found that machine you're using on the tuner at the bottom of my moms bedside locker last week. I never knew she played guitar!
You NEVER take out 6 strings at the same time, the tension on the wood changes drastically and you damage your guitar, take 3 then take the other 3.
