You can use the shoulder charge to hit enemy bubbles, that is what happened when you changed the bubble. I don’t know if it did any damage because there wasn’t any damage numbers on the hit. Go to 8:14 to see

@@VernCarson Ok, so your claim is that sbmm isn't in yet. Alright fine, so what system is currently in place and has been in place for a long time then? Connection based matchmaking. If CONNECTION is the PRIMARY way to find matches, if it's the PRIORITY in match making, and this is the level of quality in connection that you're getting in matches then you can be sure that a change in priority will be reflected in your games.

Hell the TWAB basically told us shit's fucked. We don't know if the new iteration of SBMM will be better or worse because we don't currently have anything to compare it to.

Just a tip. Try not to "Just walk up to someone while glaive shielding" if they have Witherhoard. Glaive shield has a bigger hit box and makes it easier to tag you with it...

Honestly hoping to see a legendary stasis glaive drop next season. We've got all 3 elements now we're just lacking stasis. Once we get one of those it's time for Glaive/Lion.
Also as a quick aside because I've got too much respect for you to not check that statement at 3:00. Aren't we supposed to be in a CBMM era of crucible in the first place? Since like Warmind if I rememeber the times correctly, that should tell you that this isn't an issue of one versus the other. I don't think conversations should even be revolved around CBMM vs. SBMM right now. We should really be talking about how awful the servers are in the first place. Not dogpiling the same talking points that don't call out the real issue.

I like Glaives a lot now, because if my team is slacking and can’t pick it up I can rely on them. But they are undoubtedly too strong. I just hope the eventual nerf doesn’t knock them down too much.
The problem with that is that the don’t work. If they got their reg fixed, I would say 100% without a doubt the dr needs to be nerfed. But they can’t nerf it until they fix it

I have been using this build except on warlock with the secant filaments lately. Devour is a good time especially with a glaive.
Honestly, I do think SBMM is a good thing for say, Trials. At least to some degree. MAYBE rumble but I don't know enough about that myself since I'm primarily a 3v3 player, and occasionally join in on 6s, but almost never play rumble.
But to me, the biggest thing they need to do, is NOT SBMM.
It's skill based TEAM BALANCE.
AFTER matching together the players, it should use their skill ratings to decide what teams they're on.
Like, if you get some bottom 50% players and top 1% players in the same game, try to split them as evenly between the teams as possible and balance them among that.
To summarize what I'm thinking:
Match people together based on connections. This is to maintain a stable gameplay experience.. and nothing like a certain Warlock in the game you experienced this video.
Then, look at the skill ratings of the 6 (or 12, or however many the gamemode has) players that have matched together. And split them as evenly as possible between the two teams.
So, let's say in control, with some off-the-top-of-my-head hypotheticals here, you've got 3 top 1% players in a game, 2 top 25% players, 3 top 50% players, and 4 bottom 50% players.
You're gonna want the 2 top 25% players, and 1 top 50% player, on the team with only 1 of the top 1% players, and 2 of the bottom 50% players, with the other team having 2 top 50% and 2 top 1%s.
But what I've noticed will happen often in the matchmaking up to this point is more like, here we'll put all of the top 1% players on one team, with the top 50%s, and the top 25%s will have to try to carry 4 bottom 50%s against people literally better than even they are. Without even taking into account fireteams, I'm assuming they're all solo queue for this.
Or, in an elims example, you'll get like 4 people of the same skill level, and 2 players that are fairly new to the game - literal newlights in some cases, right?
And instead of putting one newer and worse player per team, it'll put both on the same team, with a full team of people the same skill level as the one player on their team that isn't a newbie.
So that one player left with the newlights is expected to 1v3 against people of their own equivalent skill level.
That's something I personally have literally experienced before, and I had to just pray that the newlights would learn the game mechanics fast enough to start playing better (and in some cases they do, mad props to those guys that figured stuff out real quick, but they shouldn't have been thrown into the fire like that).
Basically, the problem with the matchmaking isn't that the matchmaking isn't skill based, it's that the TEAM BALANCING isn't skill based.
Or at least, actively tries its hardest to act as random and unpredictable as possible, to almost sabotage any hope of achieving that.
It's especially frustrating when I'm like, half way through a trials card, win 3 or something freelance queue, my enemy team is all on their last win to go flawless, and the two players on my team don't even have 1 win yet, we lose the game, the enemy team is flawless, and now I get to start from 0 again. Because bungie decided they didn't want me to get a flawless when I was playing at my best, but literally hands me a free card one weekend where I'm half asleep and barely playing.
Yes, I will go on record to say that the one flawless I have, with the majority of my attempts being solo queue, is the one weekend where I was playing at probably my 2nd worst by far, and was handed the flawless for free.
Solo queue trials is literally just a lottery if you're not able to 1v3 every game consistently.
Do the mk.44 give you an overshield if you sprintvwith glaive out while the melee charge is active?
It reminds me of that Miracle of Sound “I suck at call of duty” song, there’s a line in it where he talks about watching famous cod UA-camrs of old and saying “hey I can do that too!”
That’s almost exactly what happens to me each time, I’ll go to get on steam and get on to play and it is like “well this load out is this way” so I end up playing pve or doing story stuff to try and get gear so that I can do the load outs in pvp…but eventually I get bored and burned out and put the game down for months again.
LOOOOOL, we waited 3 DAMN YEARS for a new map, and we get this....... 🤣🤣🤣

I run OEM when I run glaive on titan because of how much over shield you can stack with the glaive shield for insane amounts of health, and people keep shooting the glaive shield for some reason which is an easy OEM proc. Won multiple 1v3 trials rounds with it.

Glaives projectiles are wildly unpredictable. But it definitely seems like the Range stat might be helping it land more often than not.

Should Antheus Wards work wonderfully in that build? You don’t get a glaive shield while sliding - with Antheus Wards you kinda do. Although I see why you run peacekeepers.

So, out of curiosity, what would you have to do to counter this build/glaives in general? Having a lot of trouble dealing with glaive users right now and the only things only things I've really heard suggested are Witherhoard and Divinity, which are fine, but definitely not always optimal. Any thoughts?

@@Fearful265tin I built my glaive to have high range to get the most consistent hit reg with enhanced impulse amplifier. The shield duration is slightly lower, but I haven’t noticed it, even while going solo flawless. Give it a try. Range = Consistency on glaives.

You're probably just as fast assuming you're on astrocyte. But you are gonna be missing some of the snappiness and dueling ability with the SMG.

That's exactly how I fell with that map, it's constant running from 1 side to the other wiping the other team in spawn or right outside of it. We waited over 3 years for one of the worst maps Destiny has ever seen. And they'll probably use the excuse that we don't like it and always back out to not make anymore. They did the same with prestige raids in y1, make a shit activity then blame us for not liking it and use that as justification to not do it anymore at all. Maybe building the first new map in years specifically for an untested rework of a D1 gamemode(also something we didn't ask for, just give us og rift), when said gamemode was only up twice in 3 months yet the map comes up every day in every other gamemode, was a terrible decision. It's even worse in comp where you can't back out, you spend half the time looking for somebody, and rumble isn't any better.

@@joem5148 ok it’s not that similar. Poor choice of words on my part. The movement is different. the one hit melee with Monte Carlo activates Monte Carlo’s exotic perk and radiant. the grave is the similar part yes. Thank you for the question.

I don't know how common this is for everyone, but it seems like every game is me and one other person playing the game. The other 4 teammates shoot a max of 8 people. It's a hot topic for sure but as a "higher skill" player, I'm excited for sbmm to come back to maybe get some people on my team that will shoot back at the enemy team.
Hey, low skill player here, the reason it feels like that is cause the high skill players on the enemy team are farming us constantly so we just dont engage them cause we never win the fight. I lose 79% of duels I get into, and spend almost as much of the game dead as I do alive. Sorry it feels like Im not playing when Im on your team.

@@Volley_SKD Volley, dude, I tried my ass of for 200 hours in the crucible, I watched guides, tried loadout after loadout, practiced. The result. I was still at that same .81 KD/A I have had since I picked up D2 when it came to steam.
I dont engage a better player when I come across him because I am good enough at this game to know thate staying alive and not getting farmed gives the good players on my team a better chance of winning cause the enemy team isnt getting as many free points off of me.
I have neither the time nor energy anymore to sweat my ass off in PvP against players who are so much better than me that I have a less than 1% chance of winning any given gunfight, and in the current healing meta I dont even slow them down.

Use ACDC feed back fence on stasis titan. You get the Damage resistance from the crystals AND health when you shatter them. AND if they fight back, they die

Isnt Chains a tier 1 (x1) resist? Next season that will only give 2.5% resist. It won't be worth running in PvP.
