I Made A Desert ecosystem Paludarium For A Nile Monitor!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 26 жов 2024
- In this desert simulation we have life thriving until the anole geckos joined the ecosystem. They ate everything that moved. My nile Monitor loves this enclosure but will out grow it in about 6 months. I'll have to make a Big Monitor enclosure inside my house for her.

I love the 'going all out' on decorating that tank, it looks sharp man
Thank you! He’s already out grown the tank. Have to make a new one now
Why do you have a gun?
Never stop posting pls your the best🎉🎉🎉
Thosr arent geckos, they're anoles and they can change color from green to brown
Green and brown anoles are different speices
@@Breviparopus yes, but what he’s saying is that green anoles can change color gradually from green to brown based on their environment.
I don’t think there’s a different species they just color them self different they turn green to brown
@@whackydart39474I can agree to this i have seen it
thats what i meant to say
I have the same bearded dragon tank you used for my baby bearded dragon
I had anoles, fence lizards, and Asian long tails all in one tank and they got along just well
Ya very friendly creatures
Where did you buy fence lizrads
@@theshageddy9456 Prob. caught them
Nobody with half a books worth of knowledge in this hobby will respect you if this is how you care for your animals.
What are you referring to?
@@MrHillbillyI think mostly try to learn more abt cohabitation with some of the lizards and sand can be harmful but I hope you learn from this, your channel is sick bro keep it on 🔥
@@MrHillbillyI think your doing great, personally I’ve never done anything close to this except for a saltwater tank and a freshwater tank. But yours look way better than what mine ever looked like. Keep doing what your doing, your doing great.
Are we going to look over the fact that this guy is an artist building these tanks
Thank you 🙏 and yes they are 😂
more 100 days vids plz, very cool
Once Koda outgrows this tank, this would make an awesome tank for stuff like Vampire Crabs or other smaller, semi-aquatic animals! Awesome job!
Thanks!
Mr hillbilly got them muscles
I used to have a Nile monitor lizard named jynx she got to around 2 feet or shorter
Nice 👍🏻 was it tame?
@@MrHillbilly I little bit, one time it tried to escape our backyard while it was in its harness😭
Can you please make more videos about this tank?❤❤❤😊😊😊
I’m in the process of it👍🏻 I’m not sure what to put in it now. My monitor grew outta it it’s been vacant for 3 months now.
You should definitely not house those anoles together, the bigger ones are males and are constantly fighting as they are highly territorial. You're creating an extremely stressful environment for them.
There is 1 male
And one female.
@@MrHillbillyI assure you that you have two males. 4:49 isn’t him trying to “get it on” with the browner male, he’s competing with it for dominance. You have two males. Put them in separate enclosures and be responsible.
one of the males is laying eggs... I dunno haha
Good content brooo keep it up 🎉🎉
Thank you!
You got a list of materials that’s safe to use that you used in this video it’s pretty cool I wanna make one for my son
Yeah so depending on the size of tank you will need
1-2 cans black spray foam (lowes or Amazon)
2-2 in foam board (lowes)
3-drylok basement paint( ace hardware)
4-cement dye (lowes)
5-planters usually come with plants
6- small water pump
7- pice of plexi glass to seperate land from water
8- 100% silicone. Get the odor free one in black or brown it drys faster and doesn’t have a strong smell.
Hope this helps.
Yeah
Those are anoles not geckos
I know... My 3 year old calls them geckos and I forgot I was making a video I guess
@@MrHillbilly oh ok
But, how do you clean the paludarium ?
I take him out and clean it. It doesn’t need cleaned often. Just picking up poop when the bugs can’t get to it and wiping the glass with warm water
@@MrHillbilly oo oke, thanks for the information btw, cause i wanna build a mini paludarium for my crocodile skink
oh what a cool creature! Ive always wanted one
Very cool tank!
Thanks
That do look good
Thanks 😊
Gosh he looks like a raptor from jarassic park hiding in the trees
Ya he does!
Ye he Really does
What is the lizard introduced at 5 minutes? It says blue tail skinks but they only ever get to be a few inches at most
Sorry. It’s a whip tail
Update, looks like it is a Black Belly Racerunner
Ya it does look like that. But we don’t have those here.
Nice bald head 👍
👍🏻
Would you need to get a new cage after it grows or can it stay in the same cage
He already outgrew this cage. If your gonna get a monitor than I would suggest a large cage right off the bat. This will save money and time.
Ok how big of a cage
Depends on what monitor you get but for my monitor gets 5 ft long so I would want a tank at least 10 ft wide by 6 ft high cause he likes to climb
I have isopods as pets I have a dog but I like them
cute dog
seeing that us army camel back makes me have ptsd about basic training
Wow good eye
i mean i would agree but i saw that thing and it stuck out and so many memories came rushing back like a stampede. @@MrHillbilly
ya my brother has ptsd. he smokes weed now and seems to help!
@@MrHillbilly that's two things me and him have in common then 🤣
🤣 if it works then why not!
Good vid
Those are green Anoles
Yup 👍🏻
:)
I don’t why this guy gets so much hate
They are not geckos they are green anoles and puff up when stressed they are invasive in some places.
Yup and the Nile monitor ate them!
Why’s bro getting so much hate for confusing geckos and anoles 😭🙏
People love correcting me 😂
@@MrHillbilly geckos, anoles, doesn’t matter. They’re ALL Koda’s light snacks
There is so much wrong in this video
Those are anoles .
The head bobing is a territorial display so they do not all get along.
I hope that you are not planning on keeping that Nile in that enclosure for too long , it's way to small for a adult monitor
Haha dude this video is from a year ago. That monitor is already grown up and in his new home. Those anoles still live together too.
@@MrHillbilly good to hear
I watch your videos quite often if they pop up on my UA-cam
Love the enclosure builds 🙌
Thank you! I appreciate that
What is the dogs name
Maddie
Why every single time you add rocks to a tank you make fake rocks when I just use real rocks
If I added real rocks to this tank I wouldn’t be able to move it. Too heavy
Those aren’t geckos the anoles
I know. Trying to get some engagement on my videos. Your the first to notice …..
@@MrHillbillyand I was the second one
oooo
I catch random nose all the time
This ecosystem has a paludarium these are anoles not gecko in the there's Nile monitor.
Thing is he doesn’t
Those are anole not geckos. They are quit different
I know thanks
please dont cohab many diffrent lizard species they get stressed VERY easily..
They were not stressed they actually enjoyed being together. I was surprised myself ! They would all huddle together and sleep on each other as if they were a pack of wolves.
@@MrHillbillyyeah probably because your heating is inadequate and they need to stay together to be warm enough
those aren’t gecko those are anols
Yes I know. Thank you 🙏
You should do a little more research on your lizard species. Your "blue-tailed skink" is a six lined race runner and your "geckos" are green anoles.
The blue tail is a whiptail lizard and I know what anoles are. If you read any of the other comments you would see this. But thanks for the repeat comments if you did a lil research you would have seen that
@@nakedfreak1 💯
@@MrHillbilly you're still completely wrong
Why ur voice like that😂
Lmao😂
none of those are geckos
I know
