I can see a nidus umbra/Nidus TechnoCyte strain variant with a dope quest. Heres how I would set it up: As you are clearing your way through Eris, likely doing duty in purging the technocyte infestation that haunts those derelict corpus vessels, you notice something shifting, in the dark shadows that are in the corners you fail to recognize. Curious, you pull out your codex scanner. Aiming it at the shadow, not getting any sort of trace of it. When you return to your ship, you see something...unusual. Assuming that you have rebuilt the ancient strain of infested that Nidus Prime contains, you hear the helminth inside your ship speaking through your frame's communication signal. Drawing you to the infested room. There, it speaks to you, of a strange...thing, that it has noticed over on deimos. Something within an old, destroyed orokin tower. Your navigation system shows a new point of interest. Orokin Tower 19-27A. This, is where the quest begins. The chattering of chargers, the groans of lepers and runners, the howls of mutualist moas and ospreys, not attacking you, strangely. They seem...calmed. by something. You enter the tower, noticing how clean it is, for being filled by the parasite. The floors may be covered in blood, but the walls retain their golden shine, as if they were never assaulted by this...thing. Nonetheless, you descend deeper, the helminth voice continuing to speak through your nidus prime that you wore inside this monolith. But, soon, you come across something truly horrifying. Deep behind an old orokin cipher, one that can only be opened by the dragon key vault on the orokin derelict ships, lies a laboratory. But not one of gold, silver and steel. Its, biomechanical to the core. Thin webbing coating a mucus test tube, vials of chitonous material, spores filling the air. And, as you search the location, you notice an old terminal. One is completely consumed by the nanites. inside, a mess of a log entry. Unable to read it, you insert your parazon into the data port, downloading the log for later use. perhaps with the vitruvian.
But as you move to exit the laboratory, you can hear it. That same...sound, from eris. Your somatic link begins to fragment, and you are pulled from your frame, as umbra did once before. Calling out, your dropship sends down umbra, charging with his skijati in hand, and sunder eye seeing a mess of larval tentacles lashing towards you. In a flash, he carves them down, as he pulls you into his own link. You, lose your nidus however. And the helminth becomes frustrated. Time passes, and you gain new parts for a new nidus. However, when you bring the blueprint to the foundry, with all the assembled parts, you notice something...unusual. your assembled parts seem to have been corrupted by something. Instead of reading the blueprint as Nidus Prime, it shows...Nidus Mutualist. The same technocyte strain capable of taking over artificial intelligence. Ordis takes note of this, and warns against building this frame. In fact, when you build it, it doesnt even function. The neuroptics and systems are nonfunctional. Only an empty chassis. No steel in sight. Just...a chitonous shell casing. And yet, you hear a devilish voice from inside. Ballas. But, it cannot be him. He was killed by the Lotus. Nevertheless, you cannot use this frame. So, you simply place it down in your orbiter as a decoration piece, and continue to go about your mission objectives. But, every once in a while, you may notice something off. The odd weapon tossed about your orbiter, perhaps your Vulpaphyla is injured. Or your moa pet has gone missing. You ignore it. Until after one mission, you find that your orbiter, is broken. You can't access your foundry arsenal, relic station, anything. Not even your built in heads up display menu is working. Confused, you head down to your zariman tenno pod, to see...quite a disturbing sight. The drifter, is...quite badly maimed. And, that empty chassis you built? Its come to life.

"Greetings Tenno" hit me a little too hard. I'm curious if the lore of Warframe is too fragile for My Name Is Byf to want to cover. It was nice to hear tho. 3 years later. Lol
I don't think all of them were Dax. In fact In think the Orokin desperate to survive took any one with at least some combat experience or physical fortitude required for the transformation to make Warframes some of them may be civilians or even prisoners.
I am new to the game and these warframes alwas seems a bit strange to me. Like organic. Not a suit. I thought it was a simple design joice but here we are. Great story
So a Warframe is a person that was infested by the helminth strain that eventually went insane and we the Tenno control these infested sword-steel carcasses with our minds to fight just about everything???
Man, can we just get a crossover event between Destiny and Warframe so the dumbass "Warframe vs Destiny" circle jerk can finally die for good? Plus I think it'd be neat to have a Warframe weapon as an exotic in Destiny. Maybe in Warframe some frames could get skins that make them look like the classes of Destiny. I love both these games and really hate seeing the communities fight.
I know that this would never happen, but it would be really, and I mean really cool to see both guardians and tenno in the same world for a brief period. I could just picture a scenario where the guardians become aware of the tennos presences, at first zavala is really worried about the possibility of a new enemy that thay have to face and know nothing about them, and ikora is both fascinated and fearful about some of the reports that has come in about there odd abilities, there speed, and there near perfect performance in dispatching (kabol, vex, fallen, scorn, hive, taken), until both the tenno and the guardians start communicating, and eventually, start working together, and thay have too, because a new but old threat has come from the tennos dimension (the sentients) and it will take the combined forces of both tenno and the vanguard to combat this threat.
Abridge of the Warframe lore so far Solar system is dying and is been ruled by a religious empire who serve seven emperors called the 7, who have the great talent for making bad decisions and trial by green death ray, they send a Warship called the Tenn0 on a experiment to try out void jumping basically travelling faster then the speed of light into void space which is a giant living dimension oh and there are children onboard. Orokin: "What can go wrong" Something goes wrong, Ships lost in the void. anyways back to important things, System is dying Creates robots to terraform a new solar system so they can live there, Task fails successfully as Bio robots has done their task but seeing how history will repeat itself if they gave it to their masters they rebel and become the sentients. (they also can't have children anymore either cause of void radiation oh yeah). Orokin, System, Sentients, War, ok so they're at war Sentients and are losing badly as basically nothings working Orokin: activate the defence systems Sentients: Hey defence systems want to rebel? Defence: Sure why not Orokin: Nani!?!? Anyways in a panic The Orokin decide to create a Bio nanite weapon that would eat anything as to starve out the sentients nothing will go wrong.......it goes wrong.....again the plague is doing its job just the problem is, its doing it to everyone. Next time they create a pseudo version which is more controlled and put into the best of the best you guess it you name it, this pseudo strain later is called the helmith a more tamed version compared to the other strain they send them out to fight but they fail. Anyways the war has slowed down but the sentients are winning by even more of land slide and basically the Orokin a screwed until out of nowhere they find the derelict ship the Tenn0 Everything is basically dead except for the children who now have space magic. At first they are abandoned because they were basically rejects, they later decide to look after them but then a lady got her faced scorched cause one kid freaked out when she touched them, now the Orokin are calling them demons you know what if you want to know the rest go and do it yourself.
Yes. It was an old event that we choose to cure Salad V and it was made canon. I personally would choose Regor instead, imagine that sexy sexy voice become a mainstay in the story quest... Sigh.
Mmm yes nidus spread the infection to all the nooblets. I do hope with Heart of Deimos we get more insight into the nidus Warframe “Unlike Glast Gambit” and i hope it explains to what a primed nidus would be.
I know it is a nitpick, but what about the proto armor Excalibur and glaive? They states they were pre orokin hinting not only that they were expirementing with samples they found but the fact there is still the original strain out there that everything came from. P.S. Yes I know its a Easter egg for people that played the other game but it doesn't stop it from being relevant information.
Six different strains that I know of so far and there adding another woot seriously doe when they adding doctor tegus he’s responsible for a third of greniir lore so far biiig story player
it seems to replicate the original frame, vanilla or prime. We saw this with umbra who is a specific dax and was recreated memories and all. Guess the blueprints are like... dna and stuff and we just have a very powerful cloning subsystem in our foundry
Essentially, the Foundry 3D prints/bioprints the Warframe using the Helminth strain Technocyte as material. The resources needed are consumed by the Technocyte to turn into the Warframe’s structure.
DRASIEL is correct, warframes built by the foundry are exact replicas of the original model/product down to the atomic level I imagine, it re-constructs every aspect of it, even memories and its mind and consciousness if it had those like Excal Umbra. Another example of the foundry re-constructing a mind is Cephalon Cy. Re-constructed with all of its trauma of failing its Dax RJ crew :P

Btw it's not well represented either the lore, from the aspect of core gameplay, its lackluster
Helix can you edit that comment with punctuation and brush up the grammar so I can understand you?
@@tombullivant544 Ok, so basically hydron is a node on the planet sedna. It's a defense mission and is famous for providing the most XP which is viable especially when we're considering leveling. SO=Sanctuary Onslaught, facilitated by Cephalon Simaris, it's used for leveling and getting Khora's(A warframe) parts. Second line, after the fifth word, there should be the inclusion of 'it'. "By the way, it's not well represented either the lore" as in the lore is not well represented/Not to a point where it intrigues many players. I think those are the only mistakes, inform me if they're anymore remaining
@@tombullivant544 By the way, that statement of yours was a bit rude ngl
Helix I just wanted you to clarify what you meant as your punctuation and grammar made that hard. Wasn’t trying to be rude 😂
Please do Warframe specific lore videos!! These are awesome, keep up the amazing work!
Dude I had NO idea you covered warframe lore. I don’t know how deep you’ve gone thus far, but I can’t wait to see you cover all of it up to date.
Nothing has made me happier than finding out you do Warframe videos as well as destiny
Welp, i'm hyped. Also crossing my fingers for a "That sounds like a you problem" set in warframe.
Please make more videos covering warframe, you do such a great job with destiny and warframe has plenty of lore to explore/explain. Either way, keep it up!
Keep up the good work man. Your lore videos always give me chills
Now we wait for The Man in the Wall or Rell lore. Nice video Byf
Thank you so much byf I've been doing so much on the lore of the game making theories and not to be rude not many channels are um... very confident or clear on lore. I love your channel once again thank you.
When SIVA is unleashed to its full potential--
Even worse nothing can control it there is no ai or person like with siva there is only hive mind
the infested would probably find a way to infect siva, then you now have infested siva.
-CFW. Magic- why not siva infested?
16:14 Alad cured himself? Ik the things that showed his scar came after Patient Zero, but I thought it was the Infestation worming its way into him, not the aftermath of his Mutalist infection
Now hearing this, gives me Flood/SIVA vibes
You know whats funny is for reveals as big as the second dream, war within, sacrifice, new war. Usually you'd have to pay for an expansion
Hol on, you did warframe Lore videos? I was not expecting this at all.
Watched the Warframe 1999 trailer and was again interested in the temchnocyte. Only now it dawns on me that the Warframe are like resident evil style super soldiers.
Can't wait to see your video on the new war and Kahl
Gravemind anyone?
*I? I am a monument to all your sins.* - Gravemind, Halo 2
John Flamesinger “this one is machine and nerve and has it’s mind concluded. This one is flesh and faith and the more deluded.” I love H2
This guy is the VaatVidya of Warframe, big fan
“Structure them to become better suited for combat” funny how the infested are the weakest enemies in the game lol.
Jman122001
Soon to be hard cause we're going to where the original infested strain is......Deimos or what allot of people who delve into lore The infested garden and the origin of well the warframes.
The failures of the Orokin
1 sentients
2 Infested
3 Tenno
I honestly thought Byf was mainly a destiny lore person, til now.
That explains why ballas sounds like nidus is his perfect project his *demi god*. In nidus prime trailer.
I love the hive, flood, and infested I don't know why
Has anyone else wondered how umbra grabbed the operator in the sacrifice cutscenes or just me
"Greetings Tenno" hit me a little too hard.
Why am I just seeing this now. I didn't know you did war frame lore.
I am new to the game and these warframes alwas seems a bit strange to me. Like organic. Not a suit. I thought it was a simple design joice but here we are. Great story
Finally warframe lore videos are a thing.
Yes loredaddy byf has returned to the origin system
TIL: The infested are more malicious SIVA
So a Warframe is a person that was infested by the helminth strain that eventually went insane and we the Tenno control these infested sword-steel carcasses with our minds to fight just about everything???
Basically. Except prime frames are those people who got infected, and normal frames are just mass produced frames.
LORE DADDY!
Knock knock Savathûn guess who come for that hive ass
Honestly, at this point you should just do a Warframe tslayp.
My name is byf and desiege collab is needed
In summary, it is like SIVA, but much more advanced.
Its like if SIVA and the Flood had a horrific space baby.
SIVA if it had sentience, will and agency.
Consume
Enhance
Replicate
Siva can be controled and flood wants to be test for worthy races for mantel od respobility infests want to infest and asimilete nothing more
I waited soo long for you to cover that
Reminds me of The Beast from Homeworld: Cataclysm.
Can't say this is the next video I was expecting, but it is a welcome surprise.
So... robot flood?
Well yes but actualy yes
On the surface level, more or less. Below surface level, no.
Always figured byf would be an Oberon type a guy
I miss these so much 😍😍
Essentially, Flood + SIVA= Infested
Crap the darkness is already here
You think fleeing to another universe will allow you to escape me
Well yes but actualy yes
Remember when Cascade Bombs were a thing?
Man, can we just get a crossover event between Destiny and Warframe so the dumbass "Warframe vs Destiny" circle jerk can finally die for good? Plus I think it'd be neat to have a Warframe weapon as an exotic in Destiny. Maybe in Warframe some frames could get skins that make them look like the classes of Destiny. I love both these games and really hate seeing the communities fight.
would never happen
@@Sheed96 I'm well aware, but thanks for being a Debby downer

Abridge of the Warframe lore so far
Solar system is dying and is been ruled by a religious empire who serve seven emperors called the 7, who have the great talent for making bad decisions and trial by green death ray, they send a Warship called the Tenn0 on a experiment to try out void jumping basically travelling faster then the speed of light into void space which is a giant living dimension oh and there are children onboard.
Orokin: "What can go wrong"
Something goes wrong, Ships lost in the void.
anyways back to important things, System is dying Creates robots to terraform a new solar system so they can live there, Task fails successfully as Bio robots has done their task but seeing how history will repeat itself if they gave it to their masters they rebel and become the sentients. (they also can't have children anymore either cause of void radiation oh yeah).
Orokin, System, Sentients, War, ok so they're at war Sentients and are losing badly as basically nothings working
Orokin: activate the defence systems
Sentients: Hey defence systems want to rebel?
Defence: Sure why not
Orokin: Nani!?!?
Im starting to get into technocyte virus lore
Alad V was cured by us in tubeman of regor after players choose his side on pc and it became canon
hu? could you refine your grammar so that your text is actually legible?
ZSSD Founder he literally just got one letter wrong. Calm down
@@thatrandomsquirrel2924 no the structure was a, "sorry what"? (be us - because) I was able to read just fine.
Yes. It was an old event that we choose to cure Salad V and it was made canon. I personally would choose Regor instead, imagine that sexy sexy voice become a mainstay in the story quest... Sigh.
@@zssdfounder4607 thanks for pointing that out
Mars is really unlucky, isn't it?
Demons on Phobos.
Infested on Deimos.
Hive on Mars itself...
WARFRAME LORE POGGERS
So, in other words it's the flood? Single mind? Gravemind? Lol
You did warframe you beautiful man ❤ thank you my theory is conformed I am meant to be here
The orokin had created 3 of the faction (at least that i know of i didn t play the new war).
@MyNameIsByf could you PLEASE do a video on New War and the Void Angels?
Hmm YEP definitely the flood
What what what byf making warframe lore?
Just started warframe. Yes
new tileset pretty cool
Do you ever plan to cover or talk about the new war quest line?
Mmm yes nidus spread the infection to all the nooblets. I do hope with Heart of Deimos we get more insight into the nidus Warframe “Unlike Glast Gambit” and i hope it explains to what a primed nidus would be.
Prime nidus dont make any sens we created firs nidus in glass gambit
Oh! Dear fuck! It's Byf! I forgot you were doing Warframe content again I thought you were DSiege!
i never realized the charger was a grineer
"bio mechanical nanites that infect host bodies altar their biology and make them better suited for combat" ...sounds familiar... *cough* SIVA *cough*
P.P.S. Love your channel.
The heart still beats....
So thr infested are like the beast from homeworld cataclysm
This video was more of a trailer than anything else lol
Sounds like SIVA, and what it did to the Iron Lords.
Damn so the dax soldiers failed but the tenno children succeeded huh
And this children is how the Spartan II Program was found 🙂
Six different strains that I know of so far and there adding another woot seriously doe when they adding doctor tegus he’s responsible for a third of greniir lore so far biiig story player
Hey byf do you watch xayl stuff because you both of you do lore and i was wondering
Hivemind is an emerged property - not a single entity that commands everything.
Every time we build a frame are they made of infested if so do u kill a random person to infect them into a frame
no
it seems to replicate the original frame, vanilla or prime. We saw this with umbra who is a specific dax and was recreated memories and all. Guess the blueprints are like... dna and stuff and we just have a very powerful cloning subsystem in our foundry
Well kinda there is umbra who was a dax but there is nidus who is infested mas controled by tenno so it varies
If you think about it every warframe is weak to fire and blast
I'm still waiting for the warframe TSLAYP
What’s with all if the stuff about viruses and infections this year?
you wouldnt want to know
saryn got loose and spored everything
This... i don't like this post
Nidus got into my booze cabinet on new years and forgot to wear protection... yep... we’re all paying for that!
i will support the opinion that this isnt hydroid prime trailer
