Rory you’re just wrong about Cucurella. He was one of Chelsea’s best players last season, in particular in the second half of the season. So no Neville was wrong at the time and you are as well.
He had 5 good games at the end of the season after being rubbish for 2 years.

Not a fan or any Prem club. My team is in the Championship currently but were in the top flight for 30/40 years.
Grew up watching Chelsea being a 5th, 6th finishing team during the mid to late 90's. Then seeing them become an absolute machine around 2003.
When i look at them now, they look like they are a total different club and not for the better.
The Drogba, Essien, Makelele, Lampard etc days were for night and day conpared to what they have now.

Despite the fact that I am not a fan of Rory's opinions on Chelsea and certain players, I'd agree with him on the Gusto front. Not only is he better than Dalot, but I would go as far as to say that he was the best performing RB of the 23/24 prem szn. The guy is so talented, and in a team where only Palmer is "good", gusto has stood out and shown himself. Even as a chels fan i would say its a shame that his game time could be limited due to the favouritism of RJ being our captain. Gusto really is a RB for the ages and it will soon start to land in other people's heads once chelsea start clicking as a team.
Gusto is 21, came from the Ligue 1 and dropped those performances last season, he was consistent and alongside Palmer was one of our shining light, usually defenders take a year to adapt to Ligue 1 to PL, Gusto is only going to get better next season.
Dalot is 25, been at United for 6 years and played in PL for 5 seasons? He was inconsistent last year, most times didn't have discipline to leash his forward runs or time it. He gets the plaudits because he thumps his chest, shows passion and puts in some good recovery tackles, he is showman.
Based on football alone, Gusto > Dalot in 23/24 PL season.
Rory will end up eating his word when Enzo and Caicedo look great together under a proper, positional, possession, technical based manager.

Cucurella was absolutely superb for us second half of last season so it was no shock that he had a great Euros to anyone who paid attention. Also Rory was spot on about Caicedo he was brilliant for us after a shaky start last season but media seemed to go after him and create a false narrative that he was bad.
