Chief Frazzano, thank you for posting this. One correction though: LSVs are not required to have windshield wipers. From FS 316.2122: (b) A low-speed vehicle must be equipped with headlamps, stop lamps, turn signal lamps, taillamps, reflex reflectors, parking brakes, rearview mirrors, windshields, seat belts, and vehicle identification numbers. Please do not pull me over for lack of wipers!
Excellent information. Thank you for putting this out to the public. It’s also important to educate the staff that answers the non-emergency calls to the police department. Last year there were two young kids going up and down our street for about an hour. It didn’t appear to be safe or legal. One was 14 and the other was 8. They took turns driving. There was no adult in the vehicle or watching - just two kids having a great time!?! I called the non-emergence number and the person who answered said it was fine, no DL needed. At this point I can’t be sure if it was a golf cart or a low speed vehicle. It was one of the local rentals, so I assume it was a low speed, street legal vehicle. In that case, it was not legal for un-licensed children to drive. If it was a golf cart - it was not legal on the road.

great video. I thought LSV requirement was 1 piece windshield as well. that one looks like a 2 piece
only an asshole would put their child in that kind of danger.
Salute to her
It would have been nice to show a 9 seater too.
