You have an interesting house. Contemporaries are beautiful but with that flat roof and all the seams and joints they expand and contract. Then leak and cause rot. You have one hell of a project! I 🙏🏻 your contractor is legit.
Renovation projects and schedules are mutually exclusive. Wasp nest only took one day to prove that axiom. True test of the contractor will be getting the project closed up again before the "Great White North" season settles in. The glass is not holding up the roof. There is a beam up there doing that job. Reinforcing the roof before removing the glass makes no sense, but it can't hurt. If the roof and wall have leaked over the years, I'd be curious as to the condition of the column construction holding up the beam that is holding up the roof over the glass. Since the glass never broke in the years it's been there it appears that the structure is still sound. Worth inspecting and understanding it's true condition before covering it up again. Have fun! PS: Nice house, interesting neighborhood of mid-century homes. 😎
Obviously not the contractor who would stop to watch you render tank vids or come in to give you advise while you cook? lol Oh I see the name on the scaff ROGERS BENT - ALL the time. love your work
Nice house. I tried to think of a joke about people in glass houses shouldn't do something or other, but they were all stupid dad jokes, so I gave up. Please keep us updated on the renovation Claus.🐝🐝🐝
Down here in North Carolina, we call those little buggers yellow jackets and their no fun at all. GL on the work and I hope you don't find any more surprises, but I know you will.
You should maybe get a smoke machine and smoke them out if the spray does not work. I hope you did not pay them in Full before the job and I hope they at least called you to say they would not be there. Good Luck!
man, I have a wasp nest in my attic and it's such an ackward position and don't know how to tackle it. There's 2 types one normal and the other type the size of half of an index finger, I have no idea what those are. I heard WD-40 is pretty good, but only if you can fill the entire nest
I have a healthy respect for wasps. I understand their position in the circle of life, keeping the grubs off your courgettes (zucchini is a made up word).
Next time you want to try to repair a little bit of rot instead of your slapjack silicone hairy homeowner crap😂 use Bondo.. and also it's not a mud room it's called an atrium😂
uhmmmm yeah. You had 2 holes up there. I am sorry to say this but the best way to get the whole nest is to call in a pest remover shut the house off from the area and let them tear down the wall. That is the only way to get the nest and the nest removed in its entirety
Ah but Claus, you don't need to kill all those little ones, gods creatures. That is not very pc. Don't you know you only have to sent in little messages, notes where you ask them friendly to move for a while. We all know that being polite and respectful to anybody and anything always helps. Wasps lives matter. Mange la merde!
I’m sorry to say but your building standards are not good compared to ours in Sweden. It feels more like a cardboard house than a winter isolated house.
i would be worried about a shit show its typical contractors take on several jobs over a period and you will always be prioritized by his urgent needs not yours
I see a new reality renovation show in the making...
This Old Claus
In Germany it is highly illegal to kill or remove wasp nests on your own as they are considered a protected species
Good luck with renovation.
keep us informed this could be an adventure. a 100% full blown no BS. Claus Kellerman adventure.
any sentence in reno that starts with... I got a guy... the project is not going to go as planned. Good luck Claus!
Take a spray with a small tube and foam. You get deep inside and the foam closes the hole. After five minutes it will be silent. Forever.
Good luck!

So much better than WOTs lol. Go into pest control Claus!

This is the main thing.
The best wasp killer is Dawn dish soap and water mix. even Marty knows that..
the working man is back!
Ok, I see you already planted rations for the food slot. Now it seems you improve both vents and configuration... Looks good, keep on.
Looks like a great art / music / seasonal affected disorder room. Hopefully it can be done in a couple weeks.
House of Claus!
I hope the remodelling goes as planned.
hope it goes well claus.. and them bees are nasty...

Winter is coming
Good luck and hopefully it will be a great job. i thought before you mentioned side windows out first so hope that a good sign Claus.

this is going to be fun. keep it coming.
I really enjoyed this one. Hopefully you got the roof fixed before you started this though.
I am sure the project will be complete........next year ;-)
I predict it will take twice as long and cost twice as much. Inevitable.
OMG no!
We all know wood rot in Canada. Especially the east and west coast. Good luck
You should also be spraying just before dawn when they have all gathered in/on the nest.
yes i did...
I’m wondering, my friend who’s gonna clean all these windows😂😂😂😂😂
WINDOW BREAKING PARTY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good luck!
You made me nervous when you were up on the scaffolding. Can't lose Claus to a broken neck.
Wasps smell your fear 😂
Everyone is so happy when the contractor arrives, everyone can't wait for the contractor to be done and piss off:)
Your first question: no it’s already not on schedule lol. Safely lol. You jumping around pipe staging being chased by wasps lol.
It's nice to see your are putting my viewership to good use.
I do like the diversity on your channels. Fingers crossed that your renovation go well :)
Dangerous life Claus, almost eaten by bears, cougars and wasps.......Pity of the wasps, they are very good bugs catchers , like mosquitos and flies !
Down here in North Carolina, we call those little buggers yellow jackets and their no fun at all. GL on the work and I hope you don't find any more surprises, but I know you will.
Claus, uses the spray of doom 😂❤. Try too kit the cap close or send them too your neighboors it works. 😅
the wasp dont die thay move !!
Good luck with the renovation Claus, can't wait to see the progress.
Don't let Bob know, or he will rig the renovation. 😅

Are you going with spray insulation? Maybe you can file for an green enviro reno claim with your windows.

Is that the same contractor nail his lunch box into the wall?
I have a healthy respect for wasps. I understand their position in the circle of life, keeping the grubs off your courgettes (zucchini is a made up word).
I taped a straw to my can of Doktor Doom, it shoots about 20 feet on a full can. You can fill the whole cavity.
That looks like 1970's passive solar...
Looking at the current construction I have to ask how Canada is supposed to be a 1st world nation?
Some are allowed too use a gas "grenate" , maybe he can ? ❤
Skip the schedule. It will never hold. There’s not a contractor in the world that keep their promises 😢
Big Reno = Big Pain in the Ass. Hope you have Big Bottle of Wine to go with it! 🤣
Tempo Dust - that is all.
No plan ever survives first contact with a wasp nest...um, er....something like that.
dry wall bc of the wasp generated heat.

one can of spray $10. Wasps all dead. Nest gone.
@@clauskellermanpov3004 i am so glad the spray worked.
Why do I feel like we are going to have a new video series soon "Biggest asshole contractor addition"
If you were to wait a month or so you would not have to worry about them so much.
Looks like a unplanned shit show to me. R 40 walls R 670 ceiling. Probably existing tempered glass.
Is this World of Wasps?
why is starmer giving the working age junior doctors and train drivers a pay rise and not anyone else?
I don't get it, why ppl in all of the north america build their houses using cardboard
Ah but Claus, you don't need to kill all those little ones, gods creatures. That is not very pc. Don't you know you only have to sent in little messages, notes where you ask them friendly to move for a while.
