Claus you remind me of being a kid again at my granfathers. He would always have something or another growing in his garden. What he didnt use my aunts an grandmother would can.just wish I could go back and ask plenty of questions
Can't beat veggies from your own garden. Today we're making another batch of tomato sauce with our own garden ingredients...except garlic, which i traded for a bag of striped bass fillets.
The summer squash and tomatoes were the only plants in my garden that overpowered the weeds. That said, they were magnificent! Maybe next year I will be proactive with weeding, but I'll more likely grow some additional tomatoes and squash.
Cooking with Claus yum yum. Nice healthy food, we don't have Zucchini here in the UK, we call it a marrow or courgette depending on how big it is! Beet is a superfood, currently having beetroot juice everyday to reduce my cholesterol!
If you have too many veggies we can pick a clandestine location and you can drop some off for me. There is no way I would recognize you or Marty or hear a brand new Subaru bumping some Frankie. You made a garden look so good. I buy a beefsteak tomato for 3.99/lb and I only got one. Grow your own is the way to go because grocers are jokers with prices. Nice job now back to FL for 2 more days. See ya!
My mouth was watering when you added the balsamic vinegar and I could taste them, StealGuts and you are the only WoT players I know that love gardening, Tomatoes grow best when spoken to in two languages 1 being Italian and dealers' choice
except for maybe 1 or 2 meals we make from our garden my wife goes into overdrive and we can all the rest which we eat over the course of the year....may i also suggest to you;if you can get beef or chickens from a local farmer you can can meat as well.By doing this we have basically cut out the stores except for things we cannot make.Oh and don't forget the eggs from a local producer. It really cuts out the crap(chemicals) that are thrown into the food which you purchase from the store. You probably already do this though lol
When I saw the carrot, I was expecting to see someone coming out of a hole saying "What's up Doc?" Then I hear you about pulling out a zuchinni, and frontally disagree: I swear I will never ask my wife to twist my zuchinni when she pulls it out!!!!!
Prior to cooking, I slice my zucchini and sprinkle salt on the slices, then rinse and allow it to dry. You find they are not so bitter if you do that. Just sayin' ... Er, what happened to the carrot?
This is all very nice...but rly skip the sugar...in any meal. Use honey if you have to to do sweet. I am guilty of using sugar in tomato sauce to kill the acidity...i dont like it it but even the great chefs use it.
... another doff o' me hat .. well done. Good planning/prep, etc .. including Cam & Mic placements well planned in kitch .. and NOT a single Karen sighting. PropZ! Coulda used some dRone footage .. ...
Looks delicious ! Keep up with these videos, really enjoy them ! Greetings from Romania

There are yummy veggies in Claus' world!
That's Awesome!
The beet comment... priceless!
Learn something everyday, haven’t never really grown beets and didn’t know how to prepare them. Maybe I’ll grow some next year.
There's nothing like eating food that's fresh out of the garden! Thanks for sharing Claus.
