one thing i haven't seen anyone mention yet is that those 2 stances and weapon charm are finally unlockable from getting 100% campaign completion. act of genesis is a good stance and i'm glad to finally have it in my inventory
Is it really!? I’ll have to check that out. 100% on legendary, glad to finally get something to show for it
just a heads up, if you already have 100%, you may need to replay a mission to get the game to recognize your progress towards these unlocks. i just replayed the assassination target at the top of the map and that fixed it for me. enjoy (:

It looks like Halo Infinite is very quickly benefiting from new management!
I heard a lot of varying things about how quick the process of changing management is, but man I couldn't help but feel the same excitement I got from when MCC would surprise drop a really beefy patch and content update, that classic Pierre magic. Not to take away from the great work of the rest of the team but I'm really feeling the old MCC "underpromise/overdeliver"

I love under promising and over delivering. It makes the development studio making the game seem more humble and trustworthy.

@@EL1TEHD1 Pierre Hintze. The dude is now head of 343. He completely turned around MCC in a matter of months and he appears to be doing the same to Infinite. Mismanagement truly seems to have been the issue.

halo ending the year with a W, let alone a W this big, was highly unexpected. 343 did a good job with this update, both with its content and with its marketing pre-release

Very big W. Having the Customs browser so close to Forge and right before the holiday is a perfect surprise.
This feels like a different 343 from the one at launch, and I am so happy to finally see them getting some solid, uncompromised W's. It was a long first year, but it finally seems like Infinite is headed in the right direction and I'm (cautiously) excited for it's future.
It pretty much is. New management, new team.
I was expecting this drop pod to just be some more cross core stuff and big fixes, so this really caught me off guard lol. And that's a good thing.
Maybe they are using the Winter Update to test new ways of delivering content from now on, i hope they bring the two previous fracture events as regular Battle Passes for January and February, the same for the events that happened throughout season 1 and 2, even if for limited time
This has been a massive step in the right direction man, I'm hopeful again and having a lot of fun with the game! Lets hope this momentum will carry on after christmas!

IM SO HAPPY THAT THE LAPTOP BUG GOT RESOLVED! The game was near unplayable for me on my laptop (which is far more powerful than my desktop atm) but now I can finally enjoy the game with nice looking visuals and a stable framerate! Hopefully they can keep moving forward with these updates!
I actually fixed it myself a couple of weeks ago, I had to delete a file in my system. Can’t believe as soon as I fix it, they add a fix.
I'm still salty that it took THIS long for the core features to be implemented. So much of the player base is already gone, imagine the community we could have built if these features were here at launch
You are completely justified in feeling that way. This isn't the first time they've pulled this shit. They've given us 8 years (arguably 10) of proof that they simply don't care about the franchise or us. Halo Infinite is a repetition of Halo 5 which is a repetition of Halo MCC.
People just randomly chose to forget or they genuinely don't care enough about the franchise to stand against 343.

the red reticle on pc and the aim slow down for mouse when aiming at someone within red ret range is SOOOO good. controllers still have an advantage but HOLY FUCK does this help mouse not feel as disadvantaged as before

343 finally gives us combat evolved levels of color customization
Now this is probably the last thing I expected out of this update. Insanely good work from the guys at 343. I think this update might just bring back a lot of players' trust in the game

That's what people said back in 2016 with Halo 5, yet Halo MCC was a mess in 2014 and stayed that way until 2018, and we got Halo Infinite... We're stuck in a time loop created by ourselves.
The new Bonnie Replacements are hard at work. Pierre is proving to be a good leader including the other two who idk their names. I might be hopeful but I hope to get another update before the year end.

Btw, was thinking, maybe the steep prices for the cosmetics are not just for greed but also to monetise something like Halo 3, ODST and/or Reach remakes. It sounds crazy, but MCC is sitting onthe holy grail of Halo, with so many cross feature opportunities to revive those old games. But I'm also thinking it would be weird if they made us pay for basically the same game, updated; although I wouldn't put it past them, since those potential remakes are an absolute goldmine, especially if done right. But, the reason they don't tell us something like this is in the works is because, as we saw, they can't keep their promises, so they stealthily do it so they don't have another scandal on their hands. OR they're just greedy OR OR, they're in serious debt, OR OR OR it's money laundering. 😆

Is anyone else having issues joining custom games? I always time out when loading in and the game will spaz out and not let me join anything else 😑

Ever since the update came out I've been having issues getting into custom lobbies via the browser. The game will always say "unable to connect" or "connection lost."
By the contrary, I've had a better time getting into custom lobbies via Mint Blitz's server and HaloAPI's website combined.
Bro I’ve literally been begging for mouse support in the menus for console. That was such a pleasant surprise for me when I logged on cuz I didn’t see it in the patch notes
I love this update
the theme/aesthetic of empyrean is much better then the initial Pit reveal
however they made some weird changes to mouse sensitivity that makes no sense and hurts the PC experience
Custom games browser is rough. I often get errors when trying to join. But I have gotten in games which is good
We have yet to see if they have finally learned.

I can't get the customs browser to work. Each game just gets stuck in a loop of notifications saying I left the fire team. 6/6 tries resulted in the same result.

I just tried to join any custom game browser map. But im any of probably 20 maps i tried to join, it say game is empty, game has ended or doesnt exist anymore.

Really, the only things keeping me from enjoying everything the way it is, that I can't get past page 7 on any of my bookmark/files tabs..
So.. yeah, don't really want to delete a bunch of stuff just so I can see other stuff.
idk if it's only me but I can't get into a custom game match, it keeps disconnecting me before I can load the map
Ill still be playing MCC only for now. There baby steps are just.....sad to look at because It makes me realized how low the bar is.

Cgb was never a Halo thing. The only games that had cgb was Halo 5, MCC, and the PC ports.

Hdr dips performance despite my high end 4k 120hz TV supporting it. Sucked to have to turn it off for everything on my PC for Halo
One thing I’d love to see tweaked is the ability to bring your fireteam with you into a custom game lobby. As of now you just have to coordinate with your group as to which game to play and hope everyone loads in which is a hit or miss. Kinda wonky at the moment. Glad it’s here though, still a W
Onwards to more social features, bring the dinos back and assassinations and dual wielding, the multiplayer must diversify to bring in all the different peeps
And dual-wielded weapons HAVE to not do half their normal damage when paired to be viable. The point of dual-wielding is to have twice as much firepower, and a damage reduction kind of defeats the purpose.
Really happy to see it but my game on series X keeps crashing. Customs browser doesn’t work. Bot boot camp is busted. Custom games still doesn’t work right. D Sync is as strong as ever. Super disappointed because I’ve been trying to play all day

For once 343 has actually surprised me
There's a difference between overdelivering, and not announcing anything about it at all. 343i loves doing this, where they say *nothing* and hope people will figure out that the thing everyone's been waiting for dropped with no notice. It took me a few hours without launching the game(didn't feel like playing today) before I finally realized the browser was real.
They literally said on Twitter that the patch was mostly bug fixes and address player feedback. If it took you a few hours to realize the browser was real then that’s your own fault for not doing any research at all. It was announced the second the update dropped that custom game browser was coming.
@@Frostmear You're proving him right. 343 chose to leave out the tiny little detail about having a whole ass Costume Games Browser for the next update. You don't make that in an hour. They obviously had it ready for at least a couple of days, maybe 1-2 weeks, but they decided to not mention that to create the illusion they "overdelivered" when in reality they haven't even reached the bar they should have been on at launch, which they set themselves.

None of you were proven right and the fact you’re STILL crying even though content is finally being released is proof y’all are just incapable of giving credit where it’s due. Is anybody having problems with the custom games browser? I cant join anybody it stays stuck o loading screen and im using an xbox series s. I am so disappointed
I can help you, the reason why you're game doesn't load is because too many people tried joining the same server, and there can only be a max of 24 players, so just join lower population servers, if you do find yourself with a server not loading, go to your profile, quit the fireteam, queue up for a matchmade game and cancel it, this resets your queue and you'll be able to join another custom game, this takes like 10 seconds.

There are still so many game breaking bugs that they have not even touched though. Since the launch of forge I have not been able to download any maps off of the browser. The game won’t even tell me why, just that I should “try again”
are you bookmarking them on waypoint or ingame? It should work fine if you save them ingame.

The Cgb for me is kinda busted, it doesn’t load or it sends me to another game entirely which sucks.

I have been asking Joseph Staten at least once a week for a team slayer only ranked mode… I am sad to report we did not get it in this update. It’s only been a staple ranked list forever… wtf 343
Custom games is buggy i can either join 1 game then just be in loading screen the next game and have to reset the game. also joined BTB custom game and some how got god mode and got kick LMAO
can we turn off the new auto lower sensitivity? thats going to feel WEIRD on a mouse
