So therapeutic watching this. As I've got older my skin prefers to be make up free, and my eyes are super sensitive. So I get my beauty fix watching you! Base products were always a problem for me, even in my teens and twenties. Declutters are great, I feel great after a good declutter, lol, regardless of what I'm actually getting rid of! No point in keeping stuff you don't use, pass it on, charity shop or bin if it's beyond help. 😊💟🤗

Great video So happy to see the trend is moving towards less wasteful beauty channels- so I love the declutters.
PS it is pronounced Ko- Jen- Doe as opposed to Ko-gen- do. It is Jen as in Jenny, not like kogen. Hope this helps.
I love the Good Molecules moisturizing primer, I actually use it as my daytime face cream, it's so light and doesn't feel greasy with my oily skin. As I'm getting older, I have been enjoying using a regular natural finish or satin finish for foundations in the colder weather and only use matte in the Summer.
I used to be all about the matte in my early 20s. I thought my skin was super oily and once I got into a skincare routine (just a fairly simple one, cleansing without stripping, immediately going in with a light moisturizer during the day and a chemical exfoliant serum at night... Good Molecules makes an amazing one...and a heavier moisturizer overnight, but just paying attention to what I use and making sure to nourish my skin, which I never did at all til my mid 20s because I just hated the way it made my oily skin feel. I didn't understand how important it is that even oily skin get proper moisture and care) my skin has evened out, it's so much smoother, and now it's more normal/combo and I don't have any crazy breakouts or issues and these days I just wear concealer or natural finish tinted moisturizer and I'm sooo much happier with the look and feel. Cuz I live in Florida and the humidity is crazy so wearing full on foundation and powder and all that, it turns into a cakey mess within 5 mins of walking outside 3/4 of the year haha. But skincare really does make a huge difference! And skin changes as you get older so I definitely learned the earlier you catch on to skincare, the better your skin will look younger and healthier!
@@MoonMagickMayhem I used to ignore my skin when I was in my 20s, then I reached my 30s and started to use moisturizer, and serums to help smooth out my skin and keep it acne free as much as possible. I still use moisturizer and serum, but I still have oily skin, so I still like the matte foundation on days when my skin is super oily. Usually I use a satin or natural finish foundation, along with a matte one, to keep makeup looking good and not too overdone.
I hated the Tarte ceaseless concealer with a passion!!! But I had the old packaging so maybe it was reformulated?
Possibly. Do you have dry skin? I could see the creaseless concealer being too dry of a formula for those with drier skin to begin with.
@@KaraChapman this makes me think the formula must have changed completed. The one I had was very creamy and thick. It reminded me of the IT cosmetics by bye undereye concealer. I have normal- oily skin.
I also like the "category" number letter naming system. Especially if the letter indicates the actual colour beyond warm/neutral/cool
It's SO helpful! Especially if you're purchasing from a site that doesn't provide shade descriptions (side eye at Shoppers Drug Mart which has, arguably, the least helpful website in existence).
So glad to get your thoughts on the Tatcha silk canvas. The reviews were positive but for the price it should make me look like a princess! I’ll skip it for now and maybe forever.

We seem to have very similar taste in concealer. I feel the same way about the Maybelline one. What I find that good for, is throwing in a bag or purse to use as an all over spot concealer/foundation type thing if you just want something quick and easy for a natural look or to touch up (if that's your thing. I typically don't wear makeup all day long and touch it up). As an undereye concealer, it's crap to me.

I know it is a bad question, but the sneaky person inside me would love to get information on the approximate monetary value (of the self-purchased items) of the decluttered items. I can imagine it must cost a fortune.
Oh absolutely. Having done such a big declutter (the eyeshadow palette one being the most extensive) is really making me rethink my entire approach not only to personal makeup consumption but also how I want to run my channel heading into the New Year.
