My takeaways from the BYU game. 1. Mathew Middleton needs to do a better job at coaching his WRs on other fundamentals. The route running doesn't look bad, but he needs to help teach his players to read coverages and how to help pull safeties/open coverage for other WRs down field. Jayce running across the field instead of pulling the deep safety over to him is a prime example. 2. Avery needs to stop trying to be a pure passer and learn that it's okay to use his legs. He said earlier in the year that he's learned that he doesn't always have to try to get the home run by running, but that makes me think he believes everytime he runs its considered a "home run" play. Instead he needs to just tuck it and run when the opportunity presents itself. 3. The game has not slowed down for Avery yet. Even when he has ample time in the pocket, he succumbs to pressure really quickly and hesitates. He's gotta learn to trust his line more and learn how to make his reads quicker. 4. While Riley isn't doing as bad of a job as I initially expected, he definitely needs to be on the side lines. The OL clearly has some problems, and they're not making in game adjustments as good as the past few years. Riley is an OL expert and needs to be on the sidelines coaching them up. Send Wells up into the presser.
This was great. It shows that not all the plays being called are wrong. Too many arm chair QB's. WR's need to learn how to read the D and settle in open areas. Growth on a young QB and not seeing the TD on the first clip.
Fire is the best refiner. Johnson cannot gain experience on the sideline. I do believe Johnson will improve. By the way, loved the analysis. Keep that good stuff comin'!
We need more of this. We also need a little bit sharper replay quality, but please keep this type of content coming!

I loved this new segment, very informative and shows the receiver's are maybe as bad as we are all thinking
Love the new content! This us just like back in the day when i played football and doing film study, though i was a RB so it was a little different.

Really enjoyed this, most I've learned ever. It helps knowing that coaches called good plays.
Keep up this analysis! My football IQ just exploded 🤯
Good analysis, I totally agree. I am NOT worried because I am certain the team, as a whole, will learn from the BYU game and adjust positively.
Put Riley on the sideline with the O-Line and put Wells in the booth to call plays.
Love the All-22 cam analysis. It might be better to have Curry control the feed, but that might not be possible with your setup.

Wow! What a great insight into the game, LOVE this new format! Wow!
I feel like Klieman needs to hire Sexton as a receivers-qb coach.
Great breakdown. Definitely want more of this.
