Templeton is ridiculous. I ride everything in Palmer Park but that one. You are a much better rider than me! For everyone else, just know that there are a lot of trails for every skill level in the park.
Impressive riding on a really difficult trail as it seems. And done clippless and with no dropper seatpost, as I assume, which makes it even more impressive. Hope to take on this trail someday.
Nice video. Found during a beer fueled nostalgia session. I spent my late teens and early twenties riding this trail almost every day. Between an XC hardtail in PP and a big squishy bike on the flowing, huge lines off of Gold Camp Road (pipeline, st mary's, the chutes), I learned a great deal about MTB in the Springs. The culture blows compared to Denver or Boulder, but the singletrack is much better. I actually remember these lines very well... little has changed in the seven years since I last rode them.
I love this place! I used to live right up the road from Palmer Park and rode it 3 or 4 days a week. Templeton is a blast!! Watching this video takes me back...
Seems like the trails in Pueblo have a lot more flow. You are a great rider btw. I've only been doing it less than a year but I'm starting to get pretty decent. Upgrading to a better bike in a couple months :)
Pueblo is a vastly different riding experience. There is a lot of fun to be had in Pueblo. PP by comparison is for the clinically insane! If you want flow it will drive you nuts. However, if you want to test yourself against it's technical nature it is very rewarding. I've only ridden it once (I usually don't have much time to make such long haul day trips) but hope to get back this year.
Colorado Biking by a British Dude Well if you do, please let me know! I'd love to ride with you some time. I'm in Pueblo. I have a couple of vids up of my rides. :)
Tip: Don't take Templeton going up, you'll most likely be hiking up for more than half of it. Going down though is very fun and somewhat challenging at some parts :D
Still a good ride though. BTW - how long have you been riding the LT and how do you like it? I'm having the regular Tallboy with 120 mm in front and it works really well on most of the trails, maybe except for something really technical, such as the trail in your movie. I've always thought that people are riding the bikes and if anything should be improved then people first, meaning experience and technique. Therefore I've not been thinking about changing the frame so far - but people and press are raving so much about LT that I've begun to think to give it a try. Not sure however how much improvement would it make from the regular one.
Sol I've had it about 18 months now. It's a good bike but I were to buy again I'd probably get something different. My riding really demands a fat bike, a short travel cross country 29er and a long legged AM 27.5er. For now the LTc is a good compromise.

I love this trail...
Thank you. I'd like to ride it again but I don't get down that way much anymore unfortunately.
Nice ride, but that trail looks like it'll put a beating on anybody! I like a bit more floooowwwwwww.
I had a dropper. Still it is a tough trail; especially for a first time ride. It would get easier with experience and fitness :)
Still a good ride though.

I hate how go pros do not do justice to how steep things are
