Guys, audioforums moan! there’s not a place in the universe, real or digital, that is more moany than an audioforum. Guitar forums are a love fest in comparison. The only thing that comes close is mixing forums, but they’re not as bad as audio nerds. Saying that you’re getting a lot of hate on audio forums is meaningless; can you mention any product - it doesn’t even have to be directly related to speakers, it could be tape or listening chairs - that is loved on audio forums? Any thread on an audio forum can start innocuously, but I guarantee you that by comment two there will already be mention of someone or something that the commenter thinks is shit.
Regarding speaker tuning, you could always do sort of what Buchardt Audio does and offer different speaker tunings to download. You could offer the “PDP preferred tuning”, flat tuning, boundary interference tuning, flush mount tuning, Harman Target curve, B and K Target curve, etc..🤷♂️
On the other hand, how critical is individual speaker tuning with in the framework of Dolby Atmos? I mean, won’t Trinnov or Audient tune the speakers to whatever the requirements of Dolby Atmos anyway? I would imagine that perhaps you could come up with a Dolby Atmos preferred target for each location a speaker would need and then the Trinnov or Audient unit could focus on the room.
Some talk the talk but very few walk the walk :) Well done guys :) getting the pleasure to here your mum 8's in Edinburgh in October :) which i am so looking forward to it :) Thanks to David in Edinburgh
If we get time, we will. We only did the livestream last night then went to bed, so haven’t had the chance yet. But if we get time today then we will! :)
The AKM conversion in the MUMs is super clean - realistically there is very very minimal difference between the analogue and super transparent digital.
You haven’t mentioned the MUM 10 option with the three drivers in a vertical array as opposed to the offset mirror arrangement (you mentioned this in a previous video). If put on stands where would you recommend the horizontal axis be relative to the listener (in line with the mid driver, slightly above the mid driver)?.
All our specs are available at the bottom of the page on presentdayproduction.com The DSP latency specs are: DSP Latency (Analogue): 0.35ms DSP Latency (Digital): 1.8ms Depending on which input you select, analogue or digital.

Hi guys, have you experimented with comparing the digital input compared to a high end dac into the xlr input?? Just curious. Rich

I believe the MUM-8C is meant for center channel use in surround applications
We’re working on a centre channel version but it’s not ready just yet

Emailed you guys asking for testing data/Klippel spin date (if you have it). Haven't gotten a response.
We do not yet have Klippel data. Apologies for missing the email
