Kouros, Cacharel pour Homme, Antaeus, Polo, Obsession, Egoiste, Lagerfeld, Fendi Uomo, Jazz and Fahrenheit for me...... Turning 18 in 1986 won't make that a surprising list 😁

My first propper fragrance bought was Paco Rabanne Pour Homme with my first paycheck in the mid 80's that started a love of fragrances that quickly built with, Kuros, Jazz, Gerlain Vetiver, Issey Miyake l'eau d'issey, Photo by Karl Largafeld, then I started to holiday every year in Jersey just so I could spend many hours in the plethora of fragrance stores to take advantage of the VAT/duty free shopping Jersey offered at the time, such a shame that has ended now. My first niche fragrances were Blenheim from Penhaligons and No88 by Czech and Speake both bought at Harrods in the late 90's, they really kickstarted my journey, I then went back to 1 or 2 signature scents in the 2000's wearing Bulgari Pour Homme and Castile by Penhaligons. My love of fragrances was rekindled in 2010.

I was 14 when I got my first parfume and I used it once a year. The bottle lasted a long time and I think it even lost the smell in the end. It was a Mexx parfume. After that I used what ever I could get, until 2017. I was gifted a D&G light blue intense eau de parfum (i believe it was also introduced in 2017). It’s been my signature scent since. I always use a different scent in the winter time, as I never found a favorite winter time fragrance. I also have a 2 year old bottle of Dunhill Icon, still smells great and a lot of people love it, but none of the fragrances get me as many compliments as light blue does.

Great first pickups! I'm a bit older than you and so I started out with YSL Pour Homme, wore it for years until I could no longer get it. Then discovered the original Gucci Pour Homme (1976 version), Lacoste (the original green and white bottle from 1984), Armani Eau Pour Homme, Equipage, Giorgio Beverly Hills, Givenchy Gentleman (the original patchouli bomb) and Habit Rouge EDT. But really stuck with Armani Eau Pour Homme until, like you, I discovered Jeremy and sunk into the rabbit hole. And I have to admit, you turned me on to many great fragrances as well, and my thanks for that!

At age 20 or so, I got a bottle of not quite "the one" by D&G, but spicy fresh much like it. Plus "Puma" and "Adidas" fragrances for christmas as a teen. And now I have 4 fragrances. Some niche, some designer.

James Bronley? never heard about that house.....and maybe this is very off topic but one thing I have always asked myself is why I never ever heard you talk about Yardley? considering that is one of the oldest brands maybe not just in the UK but in the world, I know current fragrances maybe not the best in the market but certainly there are some fragrances that were not so bad like the original Yardley Cologne or even English Blazer and maybe you ignore this but even Lanier dedicated a couple of videos to some of the modern Yardley fragrances for men and in the first one he talk about the history of the brand... something tells me that you ignore Yardley for one reason... Great video Dan!

I seldom watch any UA-cam fragrance reviewers anymore as they are repetitive & boring... I have no issue with people making a living recording themselves smelling fragrances. I just prefer to smell them myself before spending my money.
