I love the results when I can say I can play a song, but the journey and practicing is pure frustration and no enjoyment for me. but when I can finally play something, it is the best thing in the world.

Your average Brit & Whovian I completely understand, that's exactly this thing in us that wants to achieve results fast and is frustrated with that thing called process , do you connect?

Piano-Play-It.Com yes. I like to get stuff done quick otherwise with many pieces that have taken too long, I've ended up getting bored of them and it becomes a chore to complete. but then it is nice to be able to play something longer. but I think the longest piece(not the most difficult) I can remember to play is My heart will go on(titanic) that you set up.

Thank you for sharing, As you proceed working with patience your ability to concentrate and be able to play longer pieces will grow. Have lots of faith and be content with the place where you are at right now while still trying to grow!

Hi, the thing that made me stay away from piano playing is that frustration so I'm really glad there's videos like this. I can't read sheet music, so I used to watch your videos all the time to learn songs on the piano and I will continue to. I'm sort of forcing myself to return to piano playing again because I just decided to start making piano covers on youtube (something i have wanted to do for a while) plus i want to provide music for a short film me and fellow students of mine are doing. your channel is one of my inspirations

for me I want to use music as an outlet. but I'm at the point where all I can do is practice scales an theory. I understand it will take time but I'm getting really discouraged when I have all these emotions I want to express. but I'm unable to. I know in the long run years down the road these shouldn't be a problem. but what can I do in the mean time. do i just have to force myself through the frustration that is memorizing scales an chords?

Thank you. Can I ask you, if a person has no knowledge of reading music, and has had repeated frustration with trying to learn to read music, do you advise I go for your course, or should I try out local piano lessons? I sure wish I could take piano lessons with you in person.

Thank you for writing this. Everyone find it's way to get by.
My course offers a way without piano notes, Getting you a way to play and enjoy yourself with clear instructions that are available for everyone.
However if you find a good teacher, why not? :)
See what works out for you...
Anyway here's the link to the accompaniment course.

Hello. I am a beginner. I am used to playing the harmonium as I sing Indian classical music. The piano is new to me and I am having a terrible time in getting my hand independence right. How do you suggest me to practice this and what should I do in general to get better at it.

    • @dududavid

Start reading piano noes, and practice each hand seperetaly, it should help a lot...
      Hope this helps!

I am in 4th grade piano and I failed my last exam so I feel like I just can't do it anymore and I feel like my level is not enough. Its hard for me to practice and read the notes easily and I feel like I am wasting my parent's money and energy for nothing. I don't know if I should quit or not

I don't feel insecure!! I feel ANGERED because I know I can play this shit!!! BUT IT DOESN'T COME OUT!!!!!!! OMG I WANT TO PUNCH SOMETHING!!!

  • @beyondquestion

0:41... He'S not insecure, I'll tell u what he is, PISSED OFF!! Just like ME!! I've had it with this stupid keyboard! I wanna throw it out the window and watch it smash to pieces, and if I could afford it, I'd buy another one and repeat the process from a HIGHER window!! This thing is so frustrating and I don't get how I have aaaaall this music in my brain, yet 20, 30 years, no better than when I was 10. If I could go back to when I was 10, and realize when I'm 42 I wouldn't be any better, I would never even waste my time! That seems to be the reality of this. I only found this vid cuz I just snapped so... I'm gonna watch all of it, hopefully, I'll calm down, but I've had it with this keyboard!!
