Just today, i was late for work and yelled at someone in my car who was blocking an entrance way. The anger lingered with others looked at me with their own mad faces. To be honest, i felt guilty for getting mad, and as i continue to search and find myself in these stoic teachings, i did have to ask myself what was the point of losing it to things that are not in my control...?...
I have alot of pent up anger and other problems that I fear may soon take more hold to me as i seek out these lessons. Truthfully, i dislike getting mad and angry over small and ridiculous things in life, and I do my best to try to accept these flaws and emotions. All the stoic platforms on my youtube have slowly but surely become a big help in my life of a lost man, let alone human being.

I can't say what resonated with me, because the whole video did. As someone who like millions struggle with anxiety, this was the oasis and way of thinking that resonated with how I think & feel. I plan on watching these videos. God bless everyone!

I use the term Carpe Diem every time I post videos on my UA-cam or Instagram accounts, but momento mori and Amor fati are right up there now. At least in my mindset. I gain so much positivity from these videos. I listen to them early mornings while I’m drinking my coffee in bed getting ready for the day, and boy do they get me through the day. Carpe Diem people ❤️

Another great video. I like the practical application of Stoicism in today's world. I have Bipolar and it has destroyed my life completely three times. I have been practicing Stoicism for over a year now and Stoicism has aided me in living through today that every other treatment or therapy hasn't done in 20+ years. It is the structure by which I am able to make decisions without the overwhelming flood of emotions from my illness.
    Keep up these awesome videos!

I find myself racing for everything. I like things to be done quickly. I push my crews at work to be very efficient - they know I don't procrastinate. I struggle to deal with situations and people that linger on, or drag their tails to do something. I have had to learn that I can only control what is in my control - this part of the video hit-home with me.

This video started as I was running to the bus sitting at the station, I got about 30 feet from it as it took off. I decided to sit down and wait until it comes back. There's no point in getting upset about something I can't control and I'm okay with that.

Hello watch you all the time. This video really hit home. We are here on earth like a credit card you have a start and expiration date . I’m still trying to find my purpose. I just started getting into philosophy learning about joining the present moment and learning about myself I’m 65 years old. The kids did well realize I’m at the end of my chapter in life. My goal is to try to find what remaining time I have on this earth to fulfill my life, I’m not perfect but I am trying to find my purpose. Thank you.❤

Joy lives in small places....it took me half a century to realise that my search for happiness was the main cause of my unhappiness. I practice a lot of these principles in my everyday life like they're instinct, because if I don't then I'm not gonna stay alive (with all the health problems I have 😂😂😂 I laugh because laughter is 1 of my best medicines) I suffer with 3 autoimmune diseases one of them being Complex Regional Pain Syndrome which is 1 of the most painful diseases known to man plus many other health problems I'm not going to list. When I became disabled the money went out the door & the love went out the window and I live on my own with my cat, my children are grown up and I love my freedom and I have embraced my new life with wide open arms and I LOVE the person that I see in the mirror every day.
I Literally Shake Rattle & Roll 😂😂😂 with all the 19 medications I am on every day I Rattle, then I Shake from my autoimmune diseases and I Roll because I am in a wheelchair, but I live everyday as if it was my last &
I Have Fun ☆.•°`’*♪ 🌟 🎶 💃 ♿ 🕺 🎶 🌟 ♪*’`°•.☆ because all I have is, the Present Moment. There's no point me being President of the Moan and Groan Society, because no one likes to hear and most people Don't want to listen to negativity most of the time, so I choose to be Happy no matter what my circumstances are. Since becoming Sick and disabled, I have done things I never ever imagined I would ever & never do, for example I would never have travelled all over the world if I hadn't become sick & disabled, I've learned new skills even though I am unable to work (because of my health (I used to be self-employed), 3D Design, 3D Printing, laser cutting and engraving and I even started learning how to produce my own music & DJ. I am ½ a century +7 Yrs old 😁😁😁 and I am certainly not dead yet. Most most importantly by losing everything, I have found the Happiness that I've searched for most of my life & by becoming disabled. My diseases have become my greatest allies and teachers. Whenever I am faced with a difficult situation, I ask myself one question...Has anyone died and if the answer is No, then I tell myself, It Can Be Fixed. That question simplifies it for me, helps me gain a better perspective and find solutions.
      I hope this helps somebody.

The negative visualization, I didn't know that was the name for it but I've been doing this for years to when i had high anxiety over some daunting task or event. I'd think what's the worst that could happen? (realistically, no delusional catastrophizing here). And when I realized I could handle that, my anxiety would dissolve because in life, outcomes for me so far have never been the worst or the best case scenario, it's always somewhere in the middle. So since I could handle the worst case scenario, I knew I'd be ok.

  • @davewelbylivinginhistinyti4796

My journey from a young age is very much as what you talk about. Its been for me many experiences which have mainly been embarrassed, that goes with positive and negative situations encountered on the way. My main aim today is omitting the "I" when talking and writing. This can be somewhat of a challenge for most of us, but very rewarding, interesting and live changing in many ways. As English man and French speaker for the last 30 years, it's easier omitting the "I" in my native English language, than it is in French.
Love to all, love is everything, so all to love 🙌💛🙌🙏

I'd like to use this and apply it to day trading.
I've been trying to master it for 11 years. Although I know there are patterns, and I know which stocks to watch, how to place stops etc, I've simply taken too many losses, and am now convinced that I simply do not deserve to succeed, or be prosperous in life. In my mind, I KNOW I can't and will not succeed. And I also know I am unable to break this mindset.

Memento morie really suck with me after losing so many lived ones recently. It reminded me how little time we get here and every day is a gift, hence why it is called the present:) we shouldn't waste it fretting about the small stuff

Hi, Thank you for sharing your thoughts on memento mori. It's true that losing loved ones can be a difficult reminder of our own mortality. Life truly is a gift and we should make the most of it. Thanks for watching my channel!

I wonder if it is possible to watch your videos without the background track? I am hard of hearing and find it very difficult to concentrate on the spoken word through the music.

Nobody will take care of you better than you. Be happy and feel free. You are the one in control. Not Anybody else.
