- In this video, The Retro Pal unboxes the Japanese version of the Sega Mega Drive Mini 2, takes a look at the accessories, and compares it with other regions of Sega Mega Drive Mini 2.
This video is an overview and I will not express my opinions on any videos I create. - Ігри
They really need to make a US version accessories
Sega created cheap low effort USA and EU models. No original push power button and no red power ON led. This shows how much Japan appreciates west. No way that accessory is ever for sale in west.
They sure do, fingers cross that we get accessories for the next mini console for the EU and US regions.
Great Video Jake. Everything looks awesome! Thanks for sharing :-)
Thanks, Jamie mate, appreciate it. 🙂
I was a little surprised that they maintained the incompatibility between the Mega Adapter Mini (zero) and the Mega Drive Mini 2. They kept things authentic to a fault!
The attention to detail that the Japanese put into their releases is incredible, to bad its only for Japan.
It is a shame that it only is in Japan, I'm sure a lot of people in the EU and US would love to pick these too in their region. :-)
You deserve a lot more subs my dude, your videos are excellent. But your views and subs are way out of wack.
Looks kool.
It's still funny when sega came out with all this technology, The Snes Games looked and played way better lol 😉 .
Good video man
I need this so bad 🥺
how do you get the cd addons i looked and they are never in stock.
These were very limited stock, I'm not sure when they will return in stock. I would suggest looking at Play Asia maybe.
Hey where can i buy this set up.. ivalqays loved the sega i just bought a sega game gear too
Amazon Japan had them on sale, but currently out of stock, I would suggest looking on PlayAsia.
Hi How much did the Mini mega cd add on cost thanks ?????
Around £40 it cost me for the item plus shipping.
The case is awesome. I took it to work with me and it was so easy to place in and pull out. And yes the CD style kit is awesome too. I have displayed my old MD mini with the original tower of power CD unit, however I have placed the Zero tower MKIII player atop, I then place the 32X on the new MD Mini II and set it up with the Mega CD II. The only odd thing was having to place Virtua Racing outside of my display but thats it. Did you get a Genesis Mini II?
I was also having that problem where I should place the 32X too and decided the same too to put it on the MD 2 Mini with the Mega CD II. In regards to your question, no I did not pick up the Genesis Mini 2, simple because the games were the same as the EU one, where the Japanese one had a different selection of games.
@@theretropal That is indeed the logical way of looking at it for sure if you had to get 2 it would be our one and then the Jap one, one thing that is a let down is the roms are set as NTSC mostly, rolling thunder 2 plays too fast and you can tell it's ntsc because it says for Genesis when it points up. It would say for Mega Drive if it was PAL.
On survey I selected Genesis mini 3 / Neptune mini
Very cool. :-)
Links to accessories??
Only sale in Japan in a very few stores and probably all sold out already.
Currently, all these items are out of stock, and honestly not sure when they will restock these.
If they release US version accessories and a case I’m buying all of it
For the Mega Drive Mini 2, unfortunately no, Sega will only sell these in Japan. However, let's hope in the future they make other mini console accessories available worldwide.
@@theretropal it’s a shame they don’t even have an official case for the Genesis
@@CnideriaRex it is a shame unfortunately it is the same case when the original Mega Drive / Genesis Mini came out. The Tower of Power and its accessories were only available in Japan.
