All small territories came together and formed a country that we today know as India. And even though Mughals are one of the first people we know who looted India, but surprising you'll be shocked to know that Mughals on the other hand, also helped India become rich. Yes, you heard me right! During the Mughal reign, India had the world's one-fourth gold. And mind you, it is because of them India earned crores of rupees, and finally became "Sone ki Chidiya". Remember that Babur spent more than half of his life on the battlefield. In one form or another. Babur became a king at the age of twelve and almost immediately got involved in warfare. He first took military command of an army at the age of fourteen. He was involved in countless battles. Babur spent just as much time in the saddle, if not more so, as he did in the safety of his palace. Warfare was a constant feature of the Timurid lifestyle in the medieval era. Just looking at Babur’s invasion of the Delhi Sultanate and his war with the Rajputs gives a false impression of him. Contrary to the popular idea, Babur was not some sort of natural military genius. Nor was he born as a great military commander. He lost plenty of battles in his early life. Babur’s early military career is filled with just as many defeats, if not more so, as victories. For example, his defeat at Sar-i-Pul and Samarkand to the Muhammad Shaybani Khan in 1501. Or the crushing defeat he faced at the hands of the Uzbeks in the Battle of Ghazdewan in 1512. However, all of these loses taught Babur how to become a better military commander. He became a good general from experience. Babur also made sure that his forces underwent a military revolution in the years following his defeat in the Battle of Ghazdewan. This included adopting new tactics (Tabur Cengi and Tulughma) and making use of modern weapons of war. It was only during the later part of his life when we see the experienced military commander we now know of Babur as. The man who won battles against all odds. Such as the masterclass in the Battle of Panipat and Battle of Khanwa. The Babur who established the Mughal Empire was one of the greatest military commanders in the world at that time.

I remember studying about Mughal sultanate in class 7th, I studied it from 2 different teacher out of which one was average and one was so good that I developed interest in the topic but after some time I forgot about a lot of events..however after seeing this I think I’ll remember the period for the lifetime

What Mughals did to us was horrible and that’s why we hate them. Massacred people in mass, raped them, broke our temples, burnt our sacred texts, destroyed our holy books, converted a large number of Hindus to Muslims by forcing them to eat meat and what not. They were worse than British. Britishers were not even near to what Mughals were.

On 24 January 1556, Humayun, with his arms full of books, was descending the staircase from his library Sher Mandal when the muezzin announced the Azaan (the call to prayer). It was his habit, wherever and whenever he heard the summons, to bow his knee in holy reverence. Trying to kneel, he caught his foot in his robe, slipped down several steps and hit his temple on a rugged stone edge. He died three days later.[33] His body was laid to rest in Purana Quila initially, but, because of an attack by Hemu on Delhi and the capture of Purana Qila, Humayun's body was exhumed by the fleeing army and transferred to Kalanaur in Punjab where Akbar was crowned

History is an interesting subject, what makes it boring is our history teachers, their teaching style, and 3 to 4 pages question and answer. 😒

I would also like to add that Noor Jahan was the power controlling the throne in Jahangir's later phase of life due to his ill-health (because of drug addiction, of course) & coins were also issued in her name during this phase.Though Jahangir was theface visible to the people,the remote control was in her wife's hands.She developed art forms like perfume-making from roses & also built some beautiful gardens & certain buildings & devoted her old-age to this very art in one of her buildings built by her.She was a skilled hunter too.
