it was very interesting to watch several videos of this.
you guys needs lot of cancer basic education in lay man's terms. an oncology RN in USA can give you much more details than this information . such a waste of time and money. hat's off to Dr . G for your patience. people need to train nurses and other staff to educate patients -dietician, social workers, nurses and several medical people need lots of basic teaching. simply ask a nurse from USA and ask them to speak as a visitor, you get much much latest updates on meds, screenings tests, clinical trials and current meds and prognosis, how to understand biopsy report. get basic labs yearly with screening mammogram, colonoscopy, PSA levels, bone density, CBC, CMP and TSH levels. know your body first.
Stop seeing MD's as GOD, see them as a partner who treat your illness. cancer is a disease not a dying illness, need more hospice services in India, nurses should be trained to answer questions of patients. thank you.

Not just in oncology, doctors and health care providers need to be patient friendly. Most of them are not ready for a discussion. If i get an ailment or a malady, i want to know what's going on with me than just swallowing the medicine doctor prescribes. I want to be actively involved in the care plan. There's long way to go in patient engagement in this country.
