  • Today we take a look at my new partnership with Jim Dunlop, and WHY I use their guitar strings and guitar picks every day as a full-time musician.

Here from your comment on tanks video. Ive always loved dunlop picks, my go-tos are the ultex sharps and jazz 3s. Ill have to give their string a go too now, i usually use the EB cobalts or elixers

Thanks for checking out the channel! Tank is definitely my current favorite music personality on UA-cam. Dunlop picks are really the only way to go in my opinion. They just offer something for everyone, and they're in every music store I've ever been to across the country. I'd be curious to see if Dunlop ever gets into coated strings, but so far I haven't felt the need to change them nearly as often as I would other strings I've had. Be curious to know what your experiences with them are like.

Pick slides kill my picks after a few slides. And I do it a lot bc I’m going thru midlife crisis and looking cool (tho I don’t) is more important than playing notes. I said what I said 😂😂😂😂😂

😂😂😂 I definitely noticed that thinner picks get chewed up more often than heavier ones, which makes a lot of sense. But it really sucks is when the indent on your pick is so deep that it gets caught in the string while you're playing

@@ZackSeifMusic I use 1.14 too so it’s got some heft. The snarling dog brains seem to be better durability than the maxgrip but portizo just turned me on to Ernie ball Everlast which feel ok. Slight grip on one side but material seems durable to last at least 3 pick slides. Maxgrip def has the best texture tho.

I've seen the Snarling picks before but never used them. I know you've been a Max-Grip user for a while...are they the same gauge of pick?
