AE3 John Gross at the time, ships company. I was up on the platform by Shop 11 (IMUTS), across from what you see as the Captains ladder, and the bouy locker port side bay one. I was a VIGI during before and during 151’s transition to the Hornet (you can see a VIGI aircraft on EL 1 there towards the end. It was an amazing show. (Edit: take out the first ‘during’, add ‘)’ after the end. I should proof read more - where’s my orange pen. . . )
I was in VFA-151 at this time. What a memorable night this was. Makes you so proud to be an American.
I was there, one of my fondest memories.
It was beautiful there that day. Lucky to be there

Remembered and proud. Midway magic
I was there as part of CVW-5 Staff. There wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd. He stole the show from Bob, Connie Francis and her daughters.
Stationed in Panama in 1987
Was there! VA-185.
I wish they would've cut the music and let them sing... would've been quite the thing. Still great, as always.
USA USA USA !!!
I was way in the back.
