    Awesome trip... I agree with you on a 5 * view. Beautiful scenery. Little rain action. Those reeds were a bit low. Looked like a blast. Enjoyed watching. Thank you for sharing, take care Justin.

      Thank you Jason!
      Yeah the brush area just got a little too tight for our rigs. Since then I've be searching that section on Google Earth and I may have found a side trail. Going to take the boat up and see if there's an option E!
      As always thank you for the support!

    Awesome video and pretty location as you say... 'on the moon'. I've never tried bike packing, but I'm getting tempted!

    I've had my Blackborow for about six months. Nothing this bike can't do or a place it can't go. I've got a few trips planned in Nevada , OR , and AZ this year. Can't wait!

      Agreed Eric!
      Just finished the entire loop with same group. Up the CA side and back down the AZ. Mountain passes on CA side were Big Horn Sheep trails. Was Rugged as F***!!
      Bikes really come to life with the Jones bars, very nimble.
      Thank you for check it out!

    If you bike pack often consider installing a 14-speed Rohloff and a front suspension fork for your fat bike. You will have a nicer and easier time pedaling through rough terrain.

    • @JustinfromAZ
      @JustinfromAZ  7 місяців тому +1

      I’m actually Very interested in the Rohloff hub. Will be a great upgrade to this rig.
      No front suspension on this bike though. Most riding is heavy weight slow smooth trials.

    • @StarEssences
      @StarEssences 7 місяців тому +1

      Maybe just a suspension stem instead; (helps to ease jarring to upper arms and shoulders from ground surfaces).

    • @JustinfromAZ
      @JustinfromAZ  7 місяців тому +1

      I’ll have to look into that tech.
      A SON front and Rohloff rear hub would be a sweet wheel set for this rig.

      @@JustinfromAZ Hey, how is the frame sizing for you guys on the Blackborow's? I'm 5'-10" and chart shows medium for me but I usually ride large frames.

    • @JustinfromAZ
      @JustinfromAZ  3 роки тому

      We are both around 6’2”. My buddy has longer legs, I have a longer torso. I wouldn’t want any smaller of a frame. Actually going to raise my handlebars for a more upright posture.

    Jeesh man, what a trip! Beautiful area, very rugged and nasty in spots. Some of those rocks looked like a good test for those FAT tires. haha That little Ghost town with all the relics and stoves just laying around? WHAT's that place?

    • @JustinfromAZ
      @JustinfromAZ  4 роки тому +1

      Pretty epic country!
      Modern tires can sure take a beating that's for sure!
      Ghost Town is where all relics from surrounding mines have been all brought to one place. Three of these types of locations are in this area.
      Thank you for checking it out Dana!

    Can I ask you, what type of food did you eat and bring with you out in the middle of nowhere?
    This is the only thing I can't nail down.
    I'm not into eating fake foods that a lot of bicyclists seem to eat, nor do I want to only eat snack type foods; which a lot of bicyclists also seem to eat as their main foods.
    I realize that many good eating foods, need refrigeration, which is why I am struggling with this problem.

    • @JustinfromAZ

      Corn tortilla, cheese and a fried spam single is a great breakfast.
      Bags of black beans are great with the fried corn tortilla.
      Dried Gnocchi or Tortellini is great calorie dense dinners. Add a single chicken in water packet.
      The dried tomato soup singles are easy high in sodium which you need after sweating all day.
      Egg noodles, butter singles, dried minced garlic and Parmesan.
      I always start a trip with frozen steak and precook sausage packs.
      Peanut butter singles, some have jelly included.
      Ritz cheese cracker have a ton of sodium as well and are easy.
      Lots of options to eat clean while spending time in the dirt!

      Yes sir very capable rig.
      I’m running a tubeless setup in 27.5X3.80.
      It’s a good middle of the spectrum width. I’ve found it very adaptable.

      Thank you!
      Only bring a tent when I have a woman with me. Time and a place for everything.
      I bring a stainless wheel gun. Buddy had a Ti one. Good for high vibration and dust.
