    Fantastic bird shots and the rainbow was sublime. The rhythm of the fat bike over the sand is hypnotic.

    No quarantine 😁😁😁😁

      Yes you probably could. But I'd have to come back for my car.

    Fantastic video Chris, lots of great footage. The drone shots were fabulous. Really highlights the remoteness of the Big Desert. And the “follow me” drone shots give a new perspective to the tracks and your surrounds. I did an overnight bushwalk in the “Messa track” area a couple of years ago. Amazing country. Two good compact sleeping bags, one inside
    the other is my secret to keeping warm on those cold nights. The sleeping bags hold and reflect body heat so I only wear light bed clothing.

      I use the doubled sleeping bag trick also. Sometimes triple, when it's really cold.

      A sleeping bag inside a bivy is another good one. Much warmer than without, especially in wind.

    Beautiful subtle undulating country, as is Pink Lakes National Park if you get there?

    • @ChrisRishworth
      @ChrisRishworth  4 роки тому

      Yes it is. Going have to go back to do Murray sunset N.P ( pink lakes) wanted to change tyres first.

    Wow Chris, you're tougher than I am. I can't imagine riding that road with that much water on board. I would be worn out. Hahaha That was one heck of a ride. Atb, Tony

      Thanks. Yes adding 20 litres of water to your load always weighs it down.

    I like the idea of having a large water container under the downtube. I'd like to try it. Any gear or other tips for making it work out well?

      Thanks Alan. Yes flats are not cheap. That's one of the reasons I have lived in my car now for over 5 year's. (I don't recommend doing this) Stay safe good luck with finding a flat.

    Great video. Beautiful colours and the drone shots are breathtaking. Are you riding 4" tubeless tyres?

    • @ChrisRishworth
      @ChrisRishworth  4 роки тому +2

      Thanks. I'm using the 4 inch Mammoth Maxxis with tuffy inserts and tubes with sealant. Not recommended for this. Would like the Swable Jumbo Jim's 4.4 inch or 4.8 inch. I ran tubeless and lost all my sealant a few times with big hole's. Would prefer tubeless but can't take the risk loosing all the sealant on a big puncture.

    Hi there, nice video. Is that a Surly Pugsley? I am looking for a fatbike suitable for touring the highlands here in Iceland during summer and to use as a winter bike in the snow.
    How does it feel under load and I might be seeing things but do you have oval chainrings?

    • @ChrisRishworth
      @ChrisRishworth  4 роки тому +1

      Thanks. No it's a MURU witjara titanium Australian brand. I have wobbling issues under load on sealed roads or at speed. Other than that it's great. I got a crane creek headset ( viscoset) which is designed to stop the wobbling issues and it did. But the last two day's it was back to the problem again. Maybe it needs tightening? Yes it's a oval race face ring 26 tooth and 42 tooth on the back. Hope that helps. Cheers Chris.

    • @andrifsig
      @andrifsig 4 роки тому

      @@ChrisRishworth thanks for the info. a MURU is probably hard to get on the other side of the planet nowadays.

    Did you consider fitting a Rolhoff and Gates to this bike? Too much $?

    • @ChrisRishworth
      @ChrisRishworth  4 роки тому +1

      Still considering the Rolhoff if I can afford it one day. Can't put the belt on this bike frame needs to come apart. Did get lots of grit on the chain.
