How to replace the red pointer for a galvo scanner?

First, what is the function of red pointer?
Red pointer can help a galvo scanner with focusing. Sometimes, it need to be replaced if it is broken.Today we will show you how to replace the red pointer for a galvo scanner :
1.Unscrew the screws of the housing with an allen wrench and unscrew the screws of the red pointers
2.Open the top cover, find out the red and black wires which are connected to damaged red pointer, and cut them off
3.Remove the damaged red pointer, replace it with a new one, put back the shim
4.Cover back the housing and pay attention not to press on any wire
5.Find the hole position and then screw back the screws through the shim
6.Open the top cover again, find out the wires of the new red pointer, cut off the not necessery part if wires are too long.
7.Cut off a short end of the covered wire, put in heat-shrinkable tubings before wiring, connect the red wire to red wire, and the black wire to black wire(It would be better to weld the wires with an electric soldering iron, if possible.) Move the heat-shrinkable tubing to the interface and then heat it with a lighter (same for black wire)
8. Cover the housing and install well the screws, install the fixed galvohead into machine for testing and fixing the position of replaced red pointer
9.Manually move the red dot towards the middle, so that the red dots focalize at the center, fix the red pointer after adjustment
(NOTE:Don't forget to turn off the red pointer when you don't use the machine)

@@RuiSjm Yes, but there is a possibility that the typed characters may be deformed (the degree of deformation depends on how fast the speed is), and the motor may not be able to keep up.
