The original Pennywise mask paint job looks like his school picture when he was young , wasted and just starting clown college . Your repaint is his school photo 27 years later after graduating , older , less friendly and many late nights of scaring the crap out of kids . Fantastic repaints as always .
@@Don_Master83 yeah nowadays it’s usually just blackwash, drybrush, done. I’ve repainted a few of my old Nerf toys and it’s so easy to make them look frighteningly real.
Manufacturer: "The Thanos mask looks good, but I think it needs more details." Designer: "Alright, fine!" * unloads an entire package of shoe polish on the mask *
Why did they ruin that Thanos mask with random smudges of black paint? It looks so much better without them. Great job on adding that "skin pores" effect. The end result looks really good!
because they were lazy and probs didnt want to make/put simple detail on the mask --but Steven made the simple details go to the next level--amazing work!
I literally kept asking myself where did he get an Arnold Schwarzenegger Mr. freeze mask in the modern day? and then my question was answered in the most epic way at the end
@@mewmaniac86 The movie was released theatrically on July 2nd 2021. And this video is 10 months old, so this video debuted a couple months after the movie.
Love these transformations. That Thanos 'paint job' was an abomination! It looked like they dipped it face down in a bucket of watery black paint and they threw it on a shelf to dry! So much better now! They all look amazing, well done!
Now I'm imagining a miserable factory employee with a giant pile of Thanos masks next to him having to to dip each one in watery black paint then tossing them into a separate pile. And he's just swearing the whole time lol.
You know I thought of that when watching the Thanos part back. It looks like I’m just spraying it with water at certain points, even though the colors are insanely vibrant. The colors are like ‘kool aid’ red and blue. But because of the amount of water I added for translucency they don’t show up.
These are such fun videos to watch. Reminds me of when I was a kid watching Bob Ross. Just sitting and watching your projects build up until the super cool finally.
Dang they really had my man Freddy looking more like Freddy Fazbear's... Pizza, that is. You did all the sculpts justice, my friend. Praise to the art master.
after reprinting the mask, it looks better, it shines, it takes patience and expertise in repainting and the results are amazing.. success is always yes I like this channel😍😍
The mold for the Thanos mask was surprisingly good by itself, all it needed was some proper texture! Though I guess that’s the case for most of these masks. Speaking of Thanos, the purple outline was left to see for the rest of the video, I love that. True continuity at its finest.
You know one thing I notice, although you do a good job with the paint, you're obviously also adjust the lighting for the finished mask. For the store painted masks you have stronger lighting that makes the mask reflective and shiny. Once you finish, you're using a softer (more subtle) lighting that doesn't have the same effect, making the mask look significantly better regardless of the paint...
Love, Love, LOVE what you do to these masks. I have been wanting to get an airbrush for the longest time. It would help someone like me if you could describe what you are doing or what the colors are that you are using so that I could "follow along at home."
Great work! Your cheap mask improvements are inspiring as well as the rest of your work! My favorites for this are Freddy, The half skull and Pennywise
The original pennywise wasn't terrible like some cheap masks but it was amazing after you repainted it, waaay better. The Freddy mask originally wasn't good like looked really cheap, you made it so much better, its cool how you melted more authentic textures into the face. Love your work 😃

Where’s my pennywise clown college spinoff? I wanna see that now lol
Nice 27 year after detail lol.
The accuracy and detail of the sculpts on these masks always amazes me.
The Thanos one was shocking; just removing the black wash was such an improvement.
I feel like the sculpts on a lot of things like masks, toys, etc, are pretty good these days. Its usually the paint job that makes it look bad.
@@Don_Master83 yeah and it used to be the opposite
@@KTLaughter yeah, I’m glad it’s the way it is now. Simple repaint can take something cheap to the next level

I swear I saw a mask that looked almost like that in Payday 2, covered in shoe polish and all…
@NaterTots In the game.

I thought that maybe they wanted to make it more comicbook-like... possibly
@@wafflin8982 I think it was just a cheap and fast way to make shading
i think it’s so cheap that the color was coming off

Well. One thing is clear: it all got perfectly balanced when he restored it, just like it should be.
I literally kept asking myself where did he get an Arnold Schwarzenegger Mr. freeze mask in the modern day? and then my question was answered in the most epic way at the end
That is a very epic way
Mr. Freeze mask was in a cryogenic sleep for all this time
I thought it was a ciberman
Dude its litearly about to be October
@3 Js and a Paul Show!!! I’m guessing they don’t, it seems like he had it since he was a kid
The bone one was so amazingly realistic looking!
Was that from a movie or just art?
@@deacongowan117 he named that part of the video 'Skull mask' so i dont think its from a movie.

okay, but the molding of the pennywise mask was actually pretty spot on
yes, but the fitment on the face is bad. from the side it looks loke this: /( )
The Mr Freeze repaint was amazing
and also wholesome
I don't know why, but the Thanos mask being cleaned cracked me up. Naughty genocides get forced skin care to atone for their crimes against life
They are all amazing but my favorite is the half skeleton face. Just the jaw was incredible transformation. !!!!!❤
I would love to see a straight forward shot of before and after masks on screen at the same time to compare and contrast the improvements ☺️

It’s so satisfying watching masks become EVEN BETTER masks
For some reason, it really is
Inner perfectionism?
if you are doing more of these, it would be great to show us what paint colours you're using in case someone wants to do their own. :)

Seeing you do Pennywise's lips I was like damn his make up skills must be incredible
The fact that his work on the masks improves them so much makes makes me kind of feel envious from how good it is. It really improves them.
To be honest pennywise was my favorite mask overall you made it look incredible.
Theres something satisfying about seeing a cheaply made ask getting repainted into a god tier quality

The Pennywise repaint would looks so good mounted on a wall with other horror masks. And that Thanos has no right to be this good
All of these mask repaints are so darn cool, dude. I wasn't expecting one for the Mr Freeze costume you had as a kid. That's adorable!
Incredible work! That Pennywise looks amazing & that skull one might be my favorite!
after reprinting the mask, it looks better, it shines, it takes patience and expertise in repainting and the results are amazing.. success is always yes I like this channel😍😍
The mr freeze mask needed a little touch up and I could tell you’ve been wanting to do that ever since you got it in 1997
AWWWWWWWWW
Awww I can't believe you kept that for so long and still looks as good as the pic.
One thing I will say about most of these. While the paint jobs needed some improvement, the sculpts you had to work with weren't bad at all.
No one said anything about the sculpts of the faces of the masks.
It's just about the repainting.
I'm glad you did another one of these! The last mask repaint video was so cool!
Dang you are so Talented, if you see my comment know that you inspire people like me to do such amazing things.
You’re extremely talented. Keep it up!
Imagine being able to buy any cheap mask and still being able to go to Comicon with the same mask because your so talented
The part when he showed a 1997 photo gave me chills ngl
Btw you should really make a remastered mr freeze suit!

your mr freeze repaint looked very accurate to the movie design.
Man, we love this series. FANTASTIC
wow! great job. I wasn't even sure who the last one (Mr. Freeze) was before you fixed it - thought it might be Kang or Apocalypse.
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. What a Skilled and Talented person you are!
Amazing work! Giving terrible paint jobs a new life. Keep it up. 🤘🏻
I'm liking these videos, you should do the nun, and Michael Myers
We need the part 3!! this is amazing!!
The ending was adorable
Your work is amazing! Your attention to detail is spot-on!
The skull mask in particular... it looks like 2 completely different masks!
Man, you are crazy good at this art stuff. It's actually mind blowing how you create such an accurate portrait of things.
Aww the ending was adorable! Liked the Freddy mask the most this time

Go next part dude. Cool video's!
Very impressive. I wish there was a longer still shot showing a side by side of the before and after so we could really compare the two.
These videos are probably some of the most satisfying I've ever seen.
The final shots of the masks gave me MAJOR ‘how it’s made’ vibes. I love your quality, efficiency, talent, and style!

Ngl, the pennywise mask before looked pretty good. Definitely an improvement after, but it was better than some masks i've seen lmao
That half skull mask was badass 🤩
I have to say you did a much better job in part 1.
This shows how much talent you have you really are awesome
Great work! Your cheap mask improvements are inspiring as well as the rest of your work! My favorites for this are Freddy, The half skull and Pennywise
Your work is amazing! Collectible. You brought each one to a much higher level of believability.
The childhood pic was adorable man great work!!
the pic with you as a child as Mr Freeze is so cute!
So awesome. You make it look easy, but the results speak for themselves!
That skull mask you made look so life like.. Incredible... Your painting skills are very awesome.
The factory paint job on the Thanos mask was so bad it should be a crime.
I could watch these all day!
Pennywise and the skull go insaneeeee, favorite series ever
The skull one was so freaky and col
Also the last picture was so cute
Great job. I'm just so happy I grew up in a much more innocent time when clowns were fun and happy, not evil.
I absolutely love these videos, I would watch longer versions
The result of the Mr. Freeze mask turned out to be really cool hehe 🌬️🌨️❄️
Dude this is so cool, you make the masks have waaaay more depth after the repaint
Honestly dude what paints do you use they're so smooth and dry so nicely! Although I'm sure your skill is what makes the end result so fantastic!
Wow…the skeleton mask is my fave… really cool
Just wiping the black paint off of the Thanos made it look 5x better lmao. Sick work as always loved the Freddy.

The last part was so cool! 💯
The last part was really good 2021 vs 1997. That was so cute
It's a repaint of a childhood mask too!
How cool!
The Thanos Looks very amazing
Make sure you always go a size lower when buying a Mr Freeze mask. Makes you look slimmer
I like your editing Halloween masks
0:00 Pennywise
3:50 Freddy Krueger
Oh hell, that skull mouth! That was insanely realistic and creepy asf. Well done. Love the work!
Never end this series.
The Mr. Freeze one dude ~ ✌
Very awesome would love to see you repaint one of the latex Michael Myers maybe in time for the new movie coming out this month
