Volume is good on this video and your voice is nice and clear. Looks like not having that filer on the pump really took a toll on it. If I were able to get a quality new one, the old one would hit the scrap barrel.
Hello, good afternoon friend, I really liked your explanation, I can see that you understand the hydraulics of the Massey Ferguson, I have one of the 200 line and it has a knock that can only be heard when it reaches the desired height, that is, when it is lifting a heavy implement it only makes noise if you hear when it reaches the height defined by the interior lever, that is, if you set this lever to lift 40cm it lifts it up to there without making any noise and when it reaches that defined height it starts to make a beat, you get the idea that this is when it tries to balance the pressures to maintain that position exactly what you think it might be...Thanks from Portugal.
The knock is from the pump supports and the way the pump works, they almost always do what you are explaining and go for many years like that normally.
@@BundyBearsShed Thanks for your help! It's a very loud noise and it didn't make it before... but I wonder if it's the pump supports, should it make it when lifting weight? When it's under strain, for example, if it's put on constant pumping, it doesn't make any noise and only makes noise when it reaches the height set by the lever, whether it's 40cm from the floor or in the transport position...
Great video again. Believe it or not, I heard that the 30 minute limit is in cameras deliberately to help prevent bootleggers from recording films in the cinema, so it might be hard to find a camera without it!
Excellent series of videos... I have a MF135 with a 897490M1, but I am having an issue finding a replacement pump here in Canada. Will another pump mdl fit in place?
Hi Lance thank you so much for all the time you have put into educating us diyer's The video's are clear and instructive great job. A question Lance my 135 6 speed has pressure control, can you bypass this by putting a plain standpipe between the pump and lift cover , take out the blanking plug in the pump and inserting a normal relief valve Many thanks Rob
If i take the liftcover from a mf 565 (1977) can i expect the same as on your video about the 135 or is it compleet different? Graetings from the Netherlands
@@BundyBearsShed my fergie 250 is having this problem and it's juddering when lifting my finishing mower. When you increase engine rpm it looses power. Tipping box hydraulics are slow aswell
I have an older MF 230 in the shop right now with a stopped up hydraulic pump screen full of metal. It has ground speed and live PTO. The ground speed gear on the pinion shaft as well as the pto gear it meshes to have broken teeth from a floppy detent on the pto shift lever. If I’m never going to use ground speed pto, do I need to replace those gears at all?
@@BundyBearsShed , thank you for the reply! I brought it home from the shop after they quoted me over $3,000 to change the hydraulic pump. I believe I’ll tackle it myself.
@@BundyBearsShed I'm from Poland. I have Massey Ferguson 35. I am renovating the hydraulic system. I need to replace the hydraulic pump with filter, a new type. The pump was ordered from Bepco parts.

Thanks I have been fiddling with the sound again I think I'm getting a better understanding of it after re editing the videos.
Another top end video Lance ,please keep them coming I am learning so much ,a really big thank you.
Thanks Paul, Glad you get something from them,

usually they make noise under load, Im not sure why yours only makes it when cancelling the lift, possibly lift cover adjustments are out.

Ok fair enough I suppose, I just get a bit involved and forget to watch the time.
Very useful
Glad you think so!
Good job👍👍👍
Thankyou.
Bardzo dziękuję za pomoc pozdrawiam
You are welcome.
G,day mate I got a feeling you will buy a new pump for it,from what you’ve said good luck mate regards John
Yeah new pump.

Look up sparex.com they should have one available I would think.

Yes you sure can.

I doubt it's the same but it's probably a similar idea
They are very similar you would be able to work it out from this I feel.
If you need to replace the valves on the pump would any grinding be needed or could you just fit the new ones in just the way it is
Just fit the new ones most times.
Was the pump still suppling pressure and able to lift anything .
It would lift empty arms from time to time but mostly it did not work.

Great video, it helped me a lot, thanks. Do you know what MK the pump is? Is it a Mk1 or Mk2?
Mk 2 I would think.

No not at all, the gear on the pinion has a circlip holding it onto the hub and you can just leave it out with no problems at all.

Hello. I have a question. Will this pump fit a Massey Ferguson 35?
I have never done it but I think it would being ten spline.

Is this the same procedure for mf 188..i am having a knocking noise when lifting arms??
Yes very similar, check for wear in the pins that hold it in place too.
is there a video assembling the 135 top cover? i want to assemble our 188 fitted with a pressure control
No I had a second hand one to fit which was cheaper at the time.
Thando Gama ok Sir. Thank you. approximately how many o rings are put when doing a rebuild on the hydraulic pump?markII

Im not sure how to do that Im sorry.
You need a timer/stop watch with an alarm
I need to not forget to look at it, lol.
