    gouache landscapes are so unique and satisfying, it's a shame you don't see them as often. I love all the paintings, I think the second is my favourite 🥰🥰

    Could you bring a couple buckets to the studio? Fill them up with water (one clean, one dirty) in the bathroom in the morning when you arrive, use them through the day and then dump them on the way out in the afternoon? Maybe that could help streamline your workflow in a space with no easy sink access?

    These are so beautiful! They remind me a bit of Ghibli. I love them all! Especially the bottom ones!

    My biggest thing I need to work on to even begin to “stylize” is to STOP OVER BLENDING! That’s the most difficult thing for me when I paint anything. Which is so funny because also being a lazy painter, you would think I wouldn’t 😅

    I think they all look amazing! But one thing i was told by a teacher is when you are trying to go for a more stylistic block in of color, like what you’re trying to go for here, is use a brush bigger than you would think you need. With a bigger brush, you’re sort of forced to make bigger color blocks and less detail. Maybe that would help :) love them anyway though! 💜

    I love landscapes and have made it a personal challenge over the years to do the same thing-- simplify them! It's definitely hard. I do mostly trad art now but had a digital phase and my strategy is to take the theory of cel shading from digital art and animation and apply it to my traditional pieces... like mentally pick a color for shading then mentally calculate what color that would make irl as if it was on a multiply layer or whatever.

    honestly, i think this the first time ive actually sketched along w the person in the video when the title says to lol. i have a much smaller sketchbook just to get me into sketching more (i tend to be more of an 'only art when project' type person, and work a lot w clay, so im trying my best to be better at a much less intimidating scale), and ended up just using your paintings as reference w a pencil. cant say pencil was the most efficient way to follow along, but it got me headed in a good direction. followed your pinterest and look forward to hopefully improving on my landscaping skills a bit. so, thank you!:)

    I was also wondering how you were gonna do since you don't have a sink in your studio but I hope there is a bathroom in the office building you can use to wash your brushes and stuff

    those paintings are stunning! i also struggle with starting to paint realistically when i wanted to do it more loosely, i find redoing the same subject multiple times and becoming looser gets me the results i want. i wish i could just jump in to loose/stylized paintings first round so if you figure it out pls let us know lol

    I know it doesnt cover up completely and there's obviously still bleedthrough in the spaces between the paintings, but it's so satisfying to see the bleedthrough be covered up with gouache like that 😆
    These pictures turned out great!

    I don’t know how to just use my sketchbook for what it’s supposed to be for instead of pressurising myself to create perfect pieces per page

    Have you ever tried using gesso on the page to cover up the ink marker bleed through?

    • @alynakarczmar5797
      @alynakarczmar5797 2 місяці тому +1

      Does gesso work okay with gouache though? Wondering because gouache requires a porous/absorbent surface, at least when I use it.

      I was wondering the same thing. I have used gesso in my sketchbooks but I don't know if I've ever actually used gouache over it

    So I know you have an aversion to recording top down footage, but it would be sooo much easier to see your work properly 🙈🙈🙈🙈

      Girl u know it’s gonna kill me to do it😭😭😭😭 when would it be best, like particular mediums, particular kinds of videos?

    • @mariadaniele1104

      @@Lilstarnerd I would think things like gouache, watercolor or marker would work best things that are a little bit more visually appealing to go through and maybe you could do part of it be a Time-lapse so it doesn’t take that much space in the video and you could record some of the process but not all of it if you don’t want to and then add in different angles

    • @moodyandtheartist
      @moodyandtheartist 2 місяці тому +2

      @@Lilstarnerd If you really don't want to do something then don't - they are your videos at the end of the day!! But I personally would find them easier to watch looking top down as I'm usually tilting my head to try to see the painting process better 🤣 My favourite mediums are gouache and watercolour, so I'm going to say those, but I don't necessarily think it's something specific to those 🤷🏻‍♀️ But why do you think recording top down looks ugly anyway? I don't understand? Do you think it's just boring or something? I'm here to see the drawing and painting so personally I think it's 👌🏻
