I think it would look great with some small hay-bales in the back, that way it will really look like an old farmtruck, which is still in use Edit: thanks for the support!
Great build! One of my favorite types of vehicles, the classic pickup with wood bed, and you did a fine job on this! This is one I would happily pay to have made to sit on my desk.
I love everything about your videos....even your voice is soothing! A great sense of satisfaction just from toy cars! Keep it up, its my meditation! Thanks.
Top notch result. I didn't know about this layer chipping technique. You could put oil drums or wooden crates at the back, so it looks more like a shopping truck. Thanks for showing this!
I had no idea that people go through so much trouble reproducing these old things. Amazing. Very skillful and great videography. I've been watching your videos for the last hour and a half. Keep up the great work!
Really like the final product here, very authentic looking. That said, the bed needs something, but nothing too large to take away from the truck or the bed. I think just a simple hand carry type tool box randomly placed, maybe even knocked over with a few random tools scattered in the bed.
That looks absolutely beautiful. All it needs in the back, are a couple of oil drums - 1/76 scale, one of which has a small coiled wire attached to it, to represent the condenser of a moonshine still. That's what I'd put in it.
You have to be my favourite HW customiser, your videos are so instructive I'm learning so much about painting from them. Looking forward to your next one as always.
I have to admit, I really look forward to your videos. Personally I think you're one of the best content providers for these projects that I have found. Please keep them coming. It is motivating me to try doing some of these in the hopefully not too distant future. Thanks again!
Your weathering videos are my new favorite type of video. You can have so much fun with the different techniques. I loved how you did the dirt on the tires and wheel wells. Great work.
Excellent work. Looks super. Since you asked for suggestions: The inside walls of the bed are metal in the real pickup. The wood sides you built would sit on top of the bed's side walls. One or two boards in height - depends on the look you want.
The weathering effect on that looks amazing I got two cars sitting on my bench one I wanted to do a rusted-out barn find and the other a dirty Dusty version so I love your videos on it thank you very much for the information
Nice late night custom!! I say keep the wood bed empty as I really enjoy the clean look. I would love to see you make a pickup camper out of wood someday.
Awesome technique.. didnt know about this trick with multiple layers as I've only done single layer chipping on some of my tanks. the end result looks great, like an old farm truck that has been sitting in a field for some years :)
It amazing what cool ideas everyone shares..moonshine. .haybales.... Split wood...all are great ideas..my choice is fire wood..and challenges you to have that authentic look we all know you can do..God Bless friend..keep up the good work
Ideas for the haul, milk churn containers, Christmas Trees or camping gear maybe a canoe. Nice work on the truck. This truck going next level could be nice for a 4 x 4.
Neat job.I had a thought that maybe a few areas of the original matchbox light green paint might add a contrast to the rust effects in places but overall, a very nice finish. The wood bed gives a rustic appearance to the piece. Thank you Sir for another dynamite video and super clear descriptions, cheers
What a great effect in the finished truck, outstanding techniques! I don't do model cars - not yet anyway - but I'm definitely stealing some of your techniques for weathering effects!
A coiled rope, or chain, is what I keep in the back of my truck. Had a bud, in High School, who housed his pet Rattler in the payload of his F-150! (No one ever messed with his ride...)
Great video. Fill that bed with a pile of scale vintage motorcycle parts like wheels and engines and broken frames which allows you to make it look as deep as it needs to be.
Hello my friend, I'm Clodoaldo, I'm from Brazil and I'm amazed at the quality of your work, you're a myth, your creations and customization are spectacular, my congratulations! I'm sorry for the daring, but one day I wanted to see a customization of one of the cars more beautifully produced in my country, and that has a replica of Mattel, which is our beautiful VW SP2 one of the cars considered most beautiful in the world, preferably the orange if possible of the basic line Hot wheels, it would be a dream to see a single piece customized by the not of a great artist like you, thank you already, thank you very much and congratulations ....
I would add a greenlight hitch and tow hitch and make a custom trailer with farm equipment on it, or something to that affect. Great video, awesome custom!
This one was great... Maybe one of my favorite videos of yours... I think some ropes and fishing gear would look awesome in this truck, specially with the dirty country-like look you gave it!
I've only been watching your channel for a day or two, I've watched about 10 videos and love every one! Very informative and extremely interesting. Keep up the good work!!
Wow, I really enjoyed this! It's really fun to watch people be creative. I don't know if it'd be too tall for the bed, but it might be cool to put an engine in the back, like a project car parts hauler.
Int typical youtube fashion I stumbled across your vids and have been watching for 3 hours now. As an old farm kid this is by far my favorite one yet, the process now has a bug in me to search buy and sell sites for die cast cars. My wife will likely;y be contacting you to complain shortly....................
This truck feels to me like that one that’s been used in a junk yard to haul rusty parts around for decades. I recommend taking some fodder wheels, cutting off the tire and leaving the rim then painting and weathering the rims to give them a old rusted out look.
If you can get decals small enough, an aged ranch or store name on the doors would look great. Many real weathered old trucks have remnants of the company name still in place. This look is very popular with the rat rod movement. I know of a fellow with a '29 Model A truck that has been mechanically restored (stock) but left the body as found with an old rural farm name on the doors. He just shot some matt clear coat over the whole thing to preserve the originality. It really stands out from the crowd.
Wow. Nice. Great great detail. I would put in some rolls of barb wire, circular wooden posts and a chain. Also think about about a gun rack to back window.
Possibly add some 50's style garage graphics, like "harry's auto works", to the side of the truck and put some weathered hot wheels wheels, that's a mouthful, in the back of the truck, along with a scale engine block, if you can find one, and scale sections of an exaust system made out of myal while and clay, the clay being shaped around the wire to make mufflers. You could also cut the bonnet area out of an old scale car, HW, matchbox or any other car of that size, and refine the shape of that, then paint that in a contrasting weathered red and set that in the bed od the truck. Just an idea, Great video by the way.
😮 WoW amazing results ... I think some barnyard haystacks would look wonderful in the back ... regardless it looks Bad ass great job’ thanks for sharing your awesome skills😅😆👍🏼
I really enjoy dropping everything I'm doing to watch your new videos. Keep it up! I"ve just purchased my first redline (Python) and planning a custom of my own!
Another fun custom! I was hoping to see you painting one of your new zinc plated cars, but I enjoyed seeing this video, too. I love getting an alert that you've posted a new video!
I think this is my favorite aging restoration ! You are such a talent. Do you restore cars for viewers? I have one or two I’d love to see new again. Thanks for your shows!
Excellent job as usual. Please, no decals! Also, @Merijn had an excellent idea of a couple of hay bales. I think that the truck will look great with them.
Man, oh man are you good at this! I wish i had your skill set. I recently bought some basics. Tap n 2/56 screws n such but i have a very long ways to go. I love and look forward to your vidios. They are very enjoyable. My only complaint is that they're over to quickly. Fantastic vidio as usual ! Thanks bud!
I passed on this truck because it looked plasticy. If it had looked like this i would have purchased many. You are the master! Anyhow,Im thinkn a motor sitn on a smashed rubber tire might look cool in the back. Thanks for the vidio. I had never seen a custom out of a color changer.
I reckon some broken open crates of moonshine could go in the back of that. There was a Commodore Amiga game called _"Moonshine Racers"._ This truck suits it nicely. The song ♪ _"Copperhead Road"_ ♫ might help set the mood.
i gotta say this is my favorite custom that you’ve done in awhile, this truck has so much character to it
I think it would look great with some small hay-bales in the back, that way it will really look like an old farmtruck, which is still in use
Edit: thanks for the support!
I'm with the tiny hay bale crowd. This is an old farm truck
Yes!
Merijn Your idea will look great!
Merijn exactly what I thought after watching this video. My second thought was a piglet or two.
Yes
Great build! One of my favorite types of vehicles, the classic pickup with wood bed, and you did a fine job on this! This is one I would happily pay to have made to sit on my desk.
Holy cow! the transformation from that ugly green to this piece of art was amazing!
An engine block would be cool, that would fit in as an old farm truck or shop truck.
Yah😃
Throw in a tool box/chest, have a mix of parts thrown into it
That woud be great
It came to mind when he asked for suggestions, was about to write that and boom see your comment, great minds think alike haha
Add a spilled tool box with old wrenches and stuff to make it look like a farm mechanic going to work on a tractor
This is one of the better channels that have popped into my recommended
Really like the final product here, very authentic looking. That said, the bed needs something, but nothing too large to take away from the truck or the bed. I think just a simple hand carry type tool box randomly placed, maybe even knocked over with a few random tools scattered in the bed.

Put in some tanks of helium or tie some balloons to the back. That way you don't need to lower the bed :p
lol
Amazing work! I would place a couple of rusty 55 gallon drums in the back there.
Ethan
a nechtěl bys hodinky s vodotryskem?
And a tool box
This is the only channel I ever reccomend to anyone.
I have to admit, I really look forward to your videos. Personally I think you're one of the best content providers for these projects that I have found. Please keep them coming. It is motivating me to try doing some of these in the hopefully not too distant future. Thanks again!
I just love watching these videos with my daughter.
Your weathering videos are my new favorite type of video. You can have so much fun with the different techniques. I loved how you did the dirt on the tires and wheel wells. Great work.
I would try and make some Mason jar cases with moon shine and a small tarp folded over to cover
I like it. Or maybe a distilling station like they had in MASH.
A copper still
Yes that would be very cool on that truck
Absolutely amazing I just found your channel and it's very addicting to see every video and your calm voice explaining the steps it's a plus
One of the best weathered cars you’ve made baremetal! Great video as always!
Excellent work. Looks super. Since you asked for suggestions: The inside walls of the bed are metal in the real pickup. The wood sides you built would sit on top of the bed's side walls. One or two boards in height - depends on the look you want.
I don't collect toy cars and am not even interested in them but your work is amazing. And your voice is kinda soothing, gotta love it.
At first i was like " not another mad max video " but in the end i love how everything came out
The weathering effect on that looks amazing I got two cars sitting on my bench one I wanted to do a rusted-out barn find and the other a dirty Dusty version so I love your videos on it thank you very much for the information
This is one of the best customs you've ever done!!!
Nice late night custom!! I say keep the wood bed empty as I really enjoy the clean look. I would love to see you make a pickup camper out of wood someday.
It would be pretty easy.
This is one of your best ones yet. Looks friggin' awesome. I like the clean bed.
One of the best ones yet . Really beautiful.
Awesome technique.. didnt know about this trick with multiple layers as I've only done single layer chipping on some of my tanks. the end result looks great, like an old farm truck that has been sitting in a field for some years :)
I think this may be my favourite of all so far
Beer and oil cans in the truck bed.
Another great video! Thanks!
It amazing what cool ideas everyone shares..moonshine. .haybales....
Split wood...all are great ideas..my choice is fire wood..and challenges you to have that authentic look we all know you can do..God Bless friend..keep up the good work
I think this is my favorite video I've seen so far, of about ten.
Ideas for the haul, milk churn containers, Christmas Trees or camping gear maybe a canoe. Nice work on the truck. This truck going next level could be nice for a 4 x 4.
You made a really neat looking old truck. Great work!!!
I'm rewatching this some time after having already enjoyed it. I hope to one day complete a version of this. I only hope it comes out half as nice.
Looks fantastic ! Placed into some appropriate scale scenery in natural light it would look unbelievably real.

You are the master customizer. Great job as always! I think a scale shovel and jackstands in the back would look great, or perhaps haybales.
It looks like it just drove out of the trees! Very nice work!
Perfect old and used style. Wounderfull.
This truck looks so amazing! You did a great job! Put a dog in the back! 🐶
some boxes, barrels or some other junk pile would look nice on the truck bed. would make it look like its used in a scrapyard
I was inspired by your build of the wood bed in your previous video you mentioned and made the Beverly Hillbillies jalopy.
Amazing job! Thank you for sharing and explaining your techniques. Love your channel.
Reminds me of my grandpas old farm truck. He was always hauling square bales in it. If can pull it off I say put some in the bed.

😮 WoW amazing results ... I think some barnyard haystacks would look wonderful in the back ... regardless it looks Bad ass great job’ thanks for sharing your awesome skills😅😆👍🏼
I like the idea of an old engine block in the back,,,,,,possibly Joe's Garage on the doors
That turned out so nice! Excellent work!!!
I really enjoy dropping everything I'm doing to watch your new videos. Keep it up! I"ve just purchased my first redline (Python) and planning a custom of my own!
I really like the new old truck, great job!
I came across this channel by accident. It's fantastic! I've subscribed and hit the little bell.

Greetings again from South Africa, truck looks amazing
Truck came out great. Can't wait for the next one.
This came up in my recommended feed and I'm glad it did
I like what you did with that truck. Very cool.
Not sure why, but the thought of the truck being an old farm truck hit me... sort of like the one in the movie Zootopia.
Nice work 😊
If you need to split those rails easier you could use fishing line after you make the initial split. Really cool build as well!
Great job. I love this truck design. I'd like to see you use the same model and do a Mad Max version with it.
incredible transformation !!!! thanks so much !!!!!
Love this! As a suggestion for the back of the bed, how about an old, period-correct engine block and transmission tied down onto the bed.
I would add a tool box and a shovel or something like that :). Lovely project.
Wow man! You are geting beter and beter, really greate job! I enjoy looking you work 👍😁
Very realistic weathering, nice work.
This is truly an art form 🎨
Man, oh man are you good at this! I wish i had your skill set. I recently bought some basics. Tap n 2/56 screws n such but i have a very long ways to go. I love and look forward to your vidios. They are very enjoyable. My only complaint is that they're over to quickly. Fantastic vidio as usual ! Thanks bud!
Awesome video. I think maybe some "car parts" like an engine or metal like parts in the back would look nice. Cant wait for the next video.
This would of been consider a produce truck. So just add somematers and corn. lolol.GREAT JOB! Amazing results.
A dog in the back. Great work!
Zach Mansur Yes!
definitely dog. or some chickens.
I think a little rottweiler would look cool or maybe a hearding dog.

Awesome! I built a farm truck recently and put some hay bails and old wood crate that may look cool in your truck.
This is awesome, just like all your customs! Keep up the great work!
Awesome build! Please make another Mad Max custom, I just love those!
An old dirt bike would look really great, don't know how you could get one small enough but it would be awesome.
I just subscribed. Today is the first day I ever saw you, and I know that I will be subscribed for a while. Good job!👍👍👍
Sick video as always. Can't wait for the next video hope it's a new mad max vehicle.
