I’d love a moving with plants video when the time comes! Might be moving in the spring and I’m stressing about moving my jungle 😭 I recently got my hands on this GIANT monstera & the newest leaf was a sad casualty of transportation

I moved in July and had to move 140+ plants. There were some casualties, just having the time to be gentle with moving/transporting them will make a huge difference.

I was gone for 15 days just before Thanksgiving. I watered everything before I left, like literally right before leaving for the airport. I have 60 houseplants. I came back to a massacre. 4 plants completely died, 1 of which was one of my favorites. Most had BAD crispy damage and needed quite a bit of cut back. Turns out, while we were gone Detroit had a significant cold spell and our furnace quit for a couple of days before my BIL stopped by and discovered the problem. I was so so sad.
Moral of the story: have a plan B.

I don’t have time to do section to section because of work,child & animals that I have..so I take a day off to bust it all out (cleaning wise.) & I feel for you. I remember when I was pregnant & had NO energy! It stunk because I saw so much to do and really didn’t want to move. You have to have a strong will to get yourself up and do something... even to get up and take a walk was a chore:( so good for you that you make yourself do a chore or gym! 👍🏻

"Great minds!"......I use salad/bread plates as plant saucers too. I've also used cereal bowls in a pinch.

This video motivated me to clean my plant shelves and I found a hole in my apartment wall that was letting stink bugs fly into my room! Not good, but a productive day haha
I spray my plants down with a mix of alcohol and water once a week! We don’t play with bugs in this house, especially since my ivy fell to spider mites

unrelated to video, but I have to know,the plastic 'crates' you use to keep and water your cuttings.....are they really getting enough light??? You obviously know your stuff, your plant success is inspiring! mine? not so much....thank you for your replying!
I love the ziploc bag propagation method- I find they root faster than in water.
I hope it works out better for me too!
It's great for those ones that are slower rooters or more difficult rooters. Plus I find the cuttings have an easier time adjusting to potting as they are already used to soil obviously. Keep us updated on how it goes!

I love to move my plants around and clean under and around them. I hate mealy bugs, and so far have not had to deal with any, there is this beautiful ivy at my work that I really wanted to buy, but found a mealy bug on it, so I won't be buying it, and any ivy that I have ever gotten, always gets mealy bugs, so no ivy's for me Ever! Your plant that looks like a black Pagoda lipstick, maybe if it blooms you will be able to tell if it is the lipstick plant, I know the one I have is, and yours looks a lot like mine, I am always picking up blooms from mine, it constantly blooms, I recently posted a picture on Instagram of this long thing that looked like a curved stick, I have never seen mine shoot this out before, just like you said it does, has yours given you ones of these weird looking stick things? Winter makes me nervous as well, with the darker days and colder temps, my plants sometimes struggle, but I have been using more grow lights and I have humidifiers this winter and I didn't last winter. You have so many beautiful plants, and your shelf looks amazing! I can't wait to see all of the new plants that you are getting. It is always so good to see you and to see how your are doing and feeling, you are just so cute the more pregnant you get, and that's so fun to see. Take care, love you bunches, bye for now.

Yeah they mislabeled that plant at the nursery when I got it saying it was a black pagoda. I believe it's a aeschynanthus longicaulis. Mine just bloomed and it looks just like it. 🌿💚

Keep an eye out for pests when you get moss. I'm absolutely certain that sphagnum moss was the source of the huge spider mite infestation my plants gained soon after I used it for the first time.
You will now use those little plates for when you have people over for cake for baby’s bdays :)

Now that it’s getting colder where I live and the heat is really coming up I’m noticing my plants are needing more water which of course means more cleaning bc I always make a mess with water and dirt and all dead leaves falling on some of my plants I like cleaning and plants so this video caption made me click fast love it
