Miami, my good man - transition game still crazy but even more so your helpful and sympathic way of explaining combined with the ever so informative and to the point content moved you to my no. 1 spot of most watched & preferred youtubers. Using soothe only gently and currently almost exclusively on cymbals
Man.. all your vids are just right on point, clear & consice.. Really love the topics you pick & the way its delivered.. Pls keep up these goodies coming along more often.. thanks trillions & cheers.. 👍🏅 .
Watched this video 6 days after it came out and stoked to see the subs now sitting at 50.3k :) been subbed for about 3 months now and still loving your boss af transition game Miami
Oh yeah Soothe 2 is definitely on my wishlist, hoping to catch a sale because I've exceeded my plug-in budget for the quarter. I'm surprised you didn't mention Gulfoss. I've been using it for mastering and can't say it does anything but make things sound better every time. Looking into it Soothe and Gulfoss seem more complementary than redundant. My anecdotal understanding is that Soothe is better suited for individual tracks. Whatcha say? Also thanks for today's transition, I was getting sad there for a minute.

I just started getting into and maybe wanted to know what producers like to sidechain the most. like for ex, is a good or bad idea to sidechain the kick with the high hat.. mainly what instruments and kit parts that are sidechained the most in a Dence metal mix.
@@chrisbrowder771 it's not used a ton in metal, some people never use it. One of the classic ones is sidechaining the kick to the bass, or low frequencies in the bass. It's usually used for stuff that exists in similar sonic areas, especially low end
Maybe i should save up for Soothe since it's quite useful, but I know it would Soothe YOU if we hit that like and subscribe button. Transition game sti- wait im not Miami, wtf
De essers detect excessive signal levels on specific frequencies, but then they drop the levels of the signal on ALL frequencies. Most of them work this way, which surprised me in the past. But they are not close to dynamic EQs when it comes to reduction bcs they are not selective

I use soothe on both, but if you're using on multiple tracks you need to use ultra mode x4! And you're welcome

Love it-- thanks! Cleared some things up--
Thanks!!! Good info!!!!
You’re welcome! Glad you enjoyed it

Another gem. Soothe hardware could be done but only in the digital domain of course. Could still be handy for certain applications.
Where can I pick up my crispy white JST Tee like yours Miami?
They aren’t for sale yet. 😩

1973 is such a great suggestion man. Totally agree.
can you do some tips / tricks on sidechaining, what and how and why's of sidechaining?
Tons of stuff out there man. It's really just one element telling another element to get out of the way.

TOMO Audio Labs LISA EQ is the only known dynamic eq in hardware form I know of and it’s $15,000.
I love mutiband compressors too
I use all of these tools! It just depends which makes the most sense to use for the scenario!

Checklist:
Lights ✔️ (Except for the one Colton mentions every video).
Camera ✔️
Action ✔️
It’s okay bro… I’ll wait 😁
Dynamic EQ hardware definitely exists - example BSS DPR 901
Advise the compressor to clear the siren in the ambulance amid talking.
Multi-pass?
3:46 bro zesty 😂
Can you do a video on the differences between saturation vs distortion?
distortion is a type of saturation :)
De essers detect excessive signal levels on specific frequencies, but then they drop the levels of the signal on ALL frequencies. Most of them work this way, which surprised me in the past. But they are not close to dynamic EQs when it comes to reduction bcs they are not selective
So, basically, no difference between a dynamic eq and the Sooth in real action? Then, I guess, it's just a marketing...
First!⚡
Appreciate it!
