Very interesting. It's nice learning from others work. Often going to back up plan. I have a 12 with plastic stock I filled with some old hardware and sand. That gave 3 pounds, 11 total. it's too much to carry around a lot. Haven't shot it yet. Don't know how much it helps. I'm thinking it'll help for sitting in a blind.
Yep, I do recall it was expensive but not 200. It came from overseas and took a long time to arrive....probably is radioactive or worse ..hahaha but it sure tamed the recoil
@@neuromanglers I've done a little bit of research and i think what you have is tungsten carbide. A 3/4 x 8 tungsten carbide rod is just shy of 2 lbs, if it were pure tungsten it should be about 2.5 lbs. Not as dense as pure tungsten, but more dense than lead and not nearly as expensive as pure tungsten rods. I see some 3/4 x 4 tungsten carbide rods for about $50. So paying $100 for an 8 inch piece sounds about right.

Sooo...3 yrs ago...how do like how it shoot with the weight..??

Did the original bar work?
How did it feel with the extra weight on it. Did you feel a difference
Did you do anything to add weight to the barrels to help with balance after adding two pounds to the stock?
No, I liked how it worked with the weight rearward and still quick to swing
Curious as to where you bought the tungsten rod from. I've found several suppliers online who sell rods like this one but they're $200+.

Ahhhh....yes....now that you mention it, I do recall it was tungsten carbide . Thank you for clarifying this
Fill with led shot it works and cheaper
Interesting. I'm looking to do something with a shotgun with an AR-15 buttstock tube.
Dude by the time and cost you put into that stupid gun, you could have bought a precise shooting beretta 686!
I like having the cheapest looking gun on the field...it is much more impressive and fun to win with a trash gun than to win with a high dollar one
