Time and time again do I get surprised by some interesting tech you put into your decks. I've brewed so many Yarok decks I didn't like, and eventually assumed Ayara + Scapeshift (which finds Field of the Dead, leading to drain 4 per land) was a peak strat for the deck. Somehow, Gary + Rite of Replication never crossed my mind, despite my dabbling with trying to make Academy Manufactor + Rite of Replication work in another deck. There's a whole lot of deck techs on UA-cam, but yours stand out because quite often there's something making me go "Hold on, that's smort!". You're a treasure, Mitch.
That concept reminds me of a budget orzhov ally deck I had. The star of the show was Kalastria Healer. Though, it was a casual 60 card deck. I could totally see 5 colors singleton. Hagra Diabolist, Jwari Shapeshifter, Ondu Cleric, Drana's Emissary, Roar of the Crowd. Welp time to start deck building.
Any legendary creature with a leave the battlefield effect would work as well, because with master biomancy they enter the battlefield and fight, then due to the legend rule you can also sacrifice them. Making for some very, very, scary combos.
@joedoe7572 That is correct, thanks I reviewed the rule and now understand that I don't understand the legend rule So it checks before any "state" right, but it does put them into the graveyard which would work for the original copy, but would that work for any of the token copies?
I built a similar deck a month or so ago after seeing SaffronOlive play simic desert burn in standard with dopplegang. Decided I wanted to remake it in commander, and ended up on Yarrok the desecrator, Splunking 3 crime deserts, bounce desert, 3 ravnica bounce lands, clone splunking, bounceland, crime desert and one of mystic sanctuary, mirrorpool or sigil tracer. Put field of the dead and gary in as double etb backup plans. Pretty happy so far.
I used a similar play line in my Volrath deck. I would “clone” Nacatl War Pride with Volrath and with the attack trigger on the stack I would then clone another creature. Gary was almost always an instant win if any opponent had 5 or more creatures.
I am brewing on a similar deck for a while now. It is about copying crazy stuff, like Gruff Triplets, Etali Primal Conqueror, Nesting Dovehawk, Conclave Evangelist, Giant Adephage and the like.
Nice deck tech, but you messed up regarding tanuki as raccoons. Dogs and tanuki are members of the canidae family, while raccoons are members of the procyonidae family, so tanuki are much more closely related to dogs than raccoons
aggressive bio would go nuts in an ezuri deck, just copy a tone of 2/2s and get a ton of xp counters and a ton of +1s on a creature, wild beastmaster, which is a ton of counters on simic ascendancy to build towards game, and then swing with everyting else that gets power from beast master. damn im excited
1:38 Was expecting him to say Jodah, Ramos, Ur dragon, or Sliver Overlord, for gross 5 color commanders. Kenny is far more under the radar than Garth imo, I guess I’m the only person afraid of disenchant.
You might be interested to know that a Tanuki is a real animal, and it's a kind of dog that is commonly referred to as a "raccoon dog." So, it actually has the correct creature type already, and you accidentally called it by a correct name. 😅
Don't you need extra regrowth effect to recur biomancy frim the graveyard? A couple of counterspells could ruin your day. Besides garth i mean. And question, if garth leaves the battlefield abd reenter.does it reftesh the cards he can copy?
I'm gonna pretend that your favoeite is my favorite, so thank you for talking about selvala explorer returned!
I'm gonna pretend that your favorite is my favorite, so it's crazy that we all love playing roxanne starfall savant!
What the flip did the two of you just say
What are you talking about? This video was about syr konrad the Grim

Aww thank you!
Hey Mitch for the dig down strategy, u should put "even the score " in ur deck . it's 14 cents and u will never pay it's mana cost.
Hey man, just to let you know Tanuki actually are Canines that evolved to look like Racoons so the dog typing is correct.

You would have to get rid of them due to the legend rule before they got a chance to fight
@joedoe7572 That is correct, thanks I reviewed the rule and now understand that I don't understand the legend rule

Garth is one of those cards that everyone was excited for and thought it would be broken, when really it’s just okay at best.
It's not a very expensive deck . That's awesome

Garth one Eye is my all time favorite commander. Toolbox. Super fun... Love him. I use him i a tap/untappers controll themed deck.

Fanatic of Mogis would be awesome in this deck!! He is Red Gary.

Aggressive biomancy reminds me a lot of dopplegang.
It's a definitely worse, but slightly cheaper doppelgang
This guy could do a killer Seinfeld impression.
I thought prior Nadu. Then said Na Dude 😎
I see what you did there

Great deck as always! also a Tanuki is a breed of dog in japan, also called Racoon dog
Not a breed of dog. More like a mythical shapeshifting creature.
@@TheWickedEnd2012The breed of dog existed first. The Japanese then created a Yokai based off of the breed.
@@TheWickedEnd2012 which is based on a actual animal
Tanukis are not related to raccoons at all. They're close cousins to wolves, foxes and dogs.
Try Heartless Hidetsugu

To the second question, yes. When it comes back to the battlefield the game treats it as a new object that hasn't done anything yet.
Was not expecting Garth 😂
Tanuki are the borderline dog raccoon, but lean more to dogs
Just imagine if a Yarok was included and on the field...
I thought Garth was a Flicker deck staple.
Can you tap Garth before legend rule applies if you give it haste?
no, legend rule is state based and must be applied before any other actions.
@@sebastiancleveland727 too bad :(
Nope, the copies of a legendary permanent are "destroyed" by a statebase action. You just choose which one will stay.
Can we get a break the bank for this deck? 👀
Hold up guys this deck can doppelgang black lotuses and im here for it! Rest of the deck is sweet too though :D
First!!!!❤❤🎉🎉
