Levi, this is such a valuable video, for both new and experienced drivers alike. It’s easy to fall into the trap of driving Uber, daily cash outs, and losing sight of the fact it’s actually a business your running. Really great content - I love how you analyse things and determine profitability, I’ll try and do some of this myself in the future and certainly I’ll be implementing some of your financial tips.
Yes. Run it as a business. I run my LLC pretty much the same way. Although I am mostly part time, I do have a business license, business banking and credit. I could transition to full-time easily.
In your small market in Syracuse, is there any demaind for Uber Black or Lyft Black? That may be a better option to making more money. Higher paying higher quality fare, albeit fewer fares? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
I am sorry Levi but 90% of drivers don't have $2.5k let alone $1k. Most people start driving uber as a safety net between jobs. Where I live in the real world today Ladera Ranch CA. No one is making enough money to put some aside in the CA market. Mc Donalds employees make the same as you did in CA and the amount of money you made that week multiplied by 4 wouldn't even cover my mortgage and car insurance for the month. Your numbers would have me on the streets! 100% I had to do something different 2 yrs ago when dynamic upfront pricing crushed my earnings potential. Private is the only way in my opinion to be paid my worth driving a human. If you go to church? Let the congregation know you offer rides to airports or events and start there!?
Maybe most drivers don’t have $2,500. That only reinforces both our points: 1) it’s unwise to drive rideshare if you don’t have enough, and 2) you may not earn enough using the apps to get to $2,500
In every business I have started and every job I've taken, people like you have been there to say why it can't be done, shouldn't be done, and every reason it will fail. People like you are like flies at a picnic.... Everywhere. Yet, I've been very successful in every endeavor anyways. Including ride share! Sometimes I did things just to prove it could be done for the fun of it, like fix our umpire program and make it so successful that our biggest problem was not having enough games! Did that just for spite because of all the complaints from people like you that said it couldn't be done!
@MH-Tesla He just posted Mc Donald wages as a 50 yr old man. Yes there will always be someone like me calling a spade a spade! I can feel your hate oozing thru you.

Thank you! It’s fun creating content around rideshare and accounting.
This is exactly the point that most drivers can't see!
Thanks! I hope this is helpful content for drivers. 👍🏻

Exactly! Even if we do it just a few hours a week we should treat it like it's a business.👍🏻

We don't have Uber Black. Comfort is the highest quality trip.
Sure, there's some demand if we went private though.
Where can we get a copy of the spreadsheet?

@MH-Tesla these companies are the scum of the earth. And if you still drive for them you have little self worth or don't know your worth.
Yes Mr Tesla I am a fly and you are a success! Lol thank you for making me laugh.🤪
