We are Katie, Bob and JoJo (10), a family of 3 sharing our van life with you! We also have 2 older kids - Sam (23) and Jamie (21), and their respective partners Emily and Aden, and Jamie's daughter - our granddaughter Astrid!

You can't beat a good show in the west end. I've got an access card so I get good seats for an excellent price. My daughter and I went to see Hamilton two days ago. Absolutely incredible. Les Mis will always be number one for me x

I live in NJ and I am able to visit NYC just by taking a quick train ride from a neighboring town. I have seen many Broadway shows and a few shows in theaters closer to home. Growing up I loved to dance and listen to music and I am lucky that my parents also enjoy NYC and shows. I saw the Lion King on Broadway and that was my first musical and I was totally in love. Since then I have seen Wicked twice, West Side Story, Rent, Rock of Ages, and many more. I have also seen a few shows at Madison Square Garden in NYC as well. My father bought me tickets to see a show in NYC for many years and we have always loved not just the shows but the time together. After watching your videos I realized how lucky I am to live where I do and have family that also appreciate the arts and theater. People come from all over the world and save up for a trip to NYC to watch a show on Broadway and for them it is quite possibly a once in a lifetime experience. I on the other hand can catch a train on a Saturday morning, watch a show on Broadway, and be home in time for desert. Where I live it is not unusual for someone to say they went to see ____ on Broadway over the weekend when asked about their weekend at work on Monday. I am so grateful that I get the opportunity to visit NYC and see all forms of art pretty much whenever I want to do so. This show looked wonderful!! When I saw Rock of Ages on Broadway there were people singing and dancing in the audience and it was an epic mix of a Broadway musical and a live concert!! It is hard to pick one show that is my favorite but if I have to choose it would be Wicked followed closely by Rent!!

I enjoy going to see musicals. Iv been to several different theatres from London to Bristol to Oxford & other places in uk to see musicals. Iv seen Cats, starlight express, the sound of music (and acted as a nun in it when I was in my teens at stage school) , Annie, blood brothers (when I was at school), Wicked (3 times & would definitely go again), Joseph & the amazing Technicolor dream coat (a few times in my life & also acted as the narrator in it at school) and probably one or tow other things as well.
Oh no 😯 poor Jojo. I'm glad he is on the mend though cause that sounded so painful. Wonderful Birthday surprise for him, I'm just glad he was able to make it. Too bad you couldn't of rented one of those foldable wheelchairs for the day, although the piggyback ride looked like more fun 😂. Really happy you all enjoyed the musical, theater looked so nice! I will pray and send positive vibes for a speedy recovery for Jojo. 🤗 💕

@@FamilyFreedom I know that boy wont stay on those crutches or remain laid up in bed for very long. I give it like a week tops before he is bouncing around again. 🤣 and that is being generous with time. You can break a knee (or sprain I guess) but you cant break his spirit!

My fave dogs are the King Charles spaniels they are so sweet tempered 🥰 Looks like an amazing time was had at the musical iv always wanted to go to one maybe one day :) so glad jojo enjoyed it after all the walking ❤️ get better soon Jojo

I'm so excited for my godson to see this musical now. Not sure if you are aware there is a kids week in West end in August think it is where kids tickets are cheaper (not 100% on details) but my godson is going to a couple with his mum. & For my birthday this summer I had promised him I would take him to see Hamilton surprising him with box seats, I can't wait to make that memory with him. I'm all about making memories it's my favourite thing.

And agreed so many industries were abandoned during covid it’s heartbreaking to see but on the other side of it so many people got out of jobs they hated and started businesses or went back to college! ❤️

I’m so sorry that JoJo had that unfortunate accident but what a hero to get through this wonderful day on his crutches and what an awesome ending. Even though he didn’t get to do the whole “treasure hunt” bit it was still an exciting day & I’m so glad you didn’t miss it.
Musicals are my absolute favourites and when I was younger I always dreamed of being in one. I have sung since I was a little girl but sadly my voice is not what it used to be but recently I have been given help by a wonderful friend who has an amazing voice and he’s given me great advice to rediscover my love of singing. It broke my heart when I found I could no longer sing but thanks to him I have actually been able to duet with people and I can’t tell you how happy it has made me. I go on SMULE and it’s incredible 🙏🏼.
Anyway enough about me and back to JoJo and his incredible surprise present. You guys really are the best 🙏🏼 💚💕💜💕💚 🙏🏼 xxx
ps. Katie I also love all dogs & cats too. Infact all animals & wild life. Have you thought of taking JoJo to the cat cafe 😽. My son was going to take me but then lockdown happened but hopefully we will get to go soon 🤞🏼. The last musical I saw was Jersey Boys and my son took both me & my late hubby & we had an awesome time 😎 xxx

Glad you enjoyed it I've saw phantom of the opera. An we will rock you! Now that one I could of gone straight back in to watch. Brilliant. Was few year bk Adam lamb, something he has made in big now from that. It was amazing. An it was in London. We stayed at I think 4 seasons. I'm near Manchester. Speedy recovery jojo..

If it doesn’t improve get a second look. When I was a little younger than JoJo my nana fell on top of me while playing. I went to the hospital they said my leg wasn’t broken, after a week of extreme pain my mum took me back turns out they’d missed a break.

Lovely surprise for him and he did so well as I know crutches can be a pain when first start using them I had to use for a few years as my pelvis and hip trouble and I was heavy pregnant as well and worse was when hot weather and 8 months + try get on buses as had to go daily for baby monitor and checks at the hospital I had a lot good muscle in my upper arms by the end of it haha .
I love musicals ever since I was young and I hope more children get to experience it or even adults at leased once in their life time xx

@@FamilyFreedom it was a struggle but worth the pain to make sure my baby was ok 👍 . I am disabled now with long term illness but I have to be thankful each day that I’m still here and seeing my kids becoming adults and enjoying life :)

Could have tryed to get the wheel chair again as a borrow that Katie used before and any stairs could carry jojo on your back for few moments to get up or down
Yeah we had thought of that but the wheelchair we used before wasn't available 😊
The effort needed to use crutches is so underestimated! You should get him a scooter to do the treasure hunt with once he can put a bit more weight through it 😊😊
I don't think we realized how much energy it takes to use crutches, luckily JoJo is so much better now 💚

Im not fond of theatre shows but I am friends with a director BKL an he produced saturday night fever an me an my mum went and it was amazing, it was so good and i dont know if you have watched the movie but Tony the main guy was played by a guy who was in casualty an I got to go the afterparty where I got to meet him which was really cool but its kinda made me want to go an see more shows

Speedy recovery jojo. I know exactly how it is using crutches non-weight bearing it’s very tiring. I’m currently using crutches non-weight bearing it as I’ve dislocated my knee and I’m supposed doing race for life 5k on Sunday.

Hi my name is Ronja and I know how jojo feels being on crutches. I have been on crutches for the last few weeks because of my foot and have been told by the hospital to not put any weight on it and have been on crutches so many times. I hope you feel better soon jojo ❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹
