I could listen to Brad Faxon talk about putting all day long. He's great at articulating concepts, and winnowing out what separates good putters from bad putters.
Brad beat me two years in a row in the Rhode Island State Junior Championship, how, two great putts, one at Agawam Hunt C.C. the 18th, and Metacomet C.C. the 17th. He has been a great putter since his 12th birthday. He also has been like a Professional even as a junior, the way he carried himself as a gentleman, and using a caddy to shag balls at different distances with a baseball glove. Loved New England, and Rhode Island golf in the 1970's a special time with no phones and fun, enthusiastic hard working people.
Brad, after just completing two days of tournament golf and beating myself up, you give me hope and motivation. Thanks for the encouragement and sage advice.
I gave this video a like during the ad before it even started because I knew Mr Faxon even tho sometimes a broken record it’s one you can always hear a take some much from. Love the simplicity and always striving to implement his putting mindset everyday in my game. I had two 10 footers for par yesterday that I just walked up to and smoothed them inn with one practice stroke one foot back out of my stance as if I was hitting a tap in. That just proves my mind has all the power of weather it goes in or not. It’s hard to do but the routine of all of them are the same and just instinctively knock it in is the best chance I always have. Thanks for always validating the great little things.
This was what I needed to hear..was putting too much pressure on my putting game thinking that I needed to make everything, and this is not doable. That said, your mindset needs to be “ it is possible to make any putt…just that you need to throw it over your shoulder when it doesn’t go in and get on to the next one and enjoy the process. Thanks for this bit of wisdom from one of the great putters of my generation. Awesome!
Totally agree. Fall in love with putting and you will be better. Enjoy, no really love having the putter in your hand and you will be better. Best advice ever.
I couldn't help but laugh at the end of the video. I was telling my group just yesterday how I almost dread walking onto the green. I certainly need to heed Brad's advice on positive thinking. It's going to be hard to overcome tho as I've been such a bad putter for years. It's funny how different I think when driving. I look forward to hitting those and don't think about much at all. And usually have good results and when I do hit a bad one I don't keep thinking about it. When I miss a 3 foot putt it wears on me for several holes. Ha
Brad is a person that has away about him that’s very easy to follow he know what he is talking about and if he doesn’t he’s not afraid to ask which make him very smart enough to know he doesn’t know it all. I would love to set an talk to him.
would give two thumbs up. Great video. When I putt like you, Mr. Faxon, and make them (bigtime JK), that is where my mind resides. Trusting the challenge and not worrying about the result. And bam they go in. You state it all so well. I love to putt also.
Thanks for your insight Brad...by the way I understand you're working with Rory on his putting; perhaps you can persuade him to be a die putter! He seems to always have 4-6 foot combackers which cost him a couple of strokes per round.

Loving your vids, they are actually helping. Thank you.
Brad - happy to see G4 up front on your video. It’s a great traditional tequila unlike the Clase Azul beside it. Love tequila and golf!

Brad, keep driving and you can tell me in person. I live in Alaska, btw.
Reminds me of the Steve Davies quote- "Play like it means nothing, when it means everything'.
Great video, I asked for this on Instagram and here it is 🔥🔥🔥
