I have immense respect for him, especially since he has talked (and rapped) about things he has gone through.
Whilst personally I can't relate to what his Dad did, I can still relate to a lot of the song/rap - particularly about handling depression etc.
It's an outstanding song which always brings a tear to my eye.
I can understand every single word Pro is saying! Some of you are struggling because of the way us Brits pronounce certain words thats all. Id advise you to search the lyrics, Pro Green has a lot of respect in the UK! Everyone knows his story. Tori Kelly? Is just out standing, i can only dream of the success she has which all started from UA-cam. Voice is like gold :)

I really think everyone should leave Professor Green alone. He's trying to open up about his Dad's suicide. Celebrities are people too, imagine if you're Dad had passed away and you wrote a song pouring your heart out about it and this was peoples response. I for one give him credit. It's not easy to make yourself that vulnerable. Have some respect.

Damn this is powerful. I normally hate rap, but I gotta say I love this guy. Came across his music a few days ago, and have been listening almost non stop. My father died two and a half years ago, and since then I had really gone down hill. Insomnia, night terrors if I manged to sleep, anger and guilt that ate me up from the inside out. We had a rough relationship at the time of his death, so I felt like that really contributed to how hard I took it. Nothing is worse than your parent dying thinking their kid couldn't stand them, and the guilt of that really took it's toll. It took me years to find peace, and this song really, in my opinion, showcases the thoughts and emotions felt by someone losing their parent to something preventable, or anything at all. This is a deep message with real emotion, and is a real cut above most other rap songs.

I was thinking about two people while listening to this: my dear, loving grandpa, who sadly passed away too quickly, in just some weeks, and my best friend who moved to London a few days ago and I'm still trying to figure out how to spend my days without her, who to text when I'm bored or happy or sad!
And I know this is not the point but the thought of her, uploading photos with her new best friends, and writing lovely things about them on the caption, kills me! Because I'll think: "that used to be me"!

Know that heaven *exists* and there are many proves for that, like a girl who had a very bad, incurable illness and she fell inside an empty tree "shell" while playing with her sister and she says she saw "the light" and "the voice" told her everything would be alright! When she woke up she was healed! The doctors were left speechless! Or a boy, with a heart disease, also incurable, had had three big attacks, the first one when he was four and when they sent him to the hospital, while on a wheelchair, he was telling his mother about "the light on the ceiling" and he felt a warm kind of happiness he had never felt before, thought there was no light on the ceiling! Than one week before making a video about this, he had his third attack and he found himself in a "white room" like a waiting room, with no walls or boundaries and he saw the same light and experienced the same pure happiness! He met his favourite rapper who sang his favourite song(one of the rapper's songs) in which there was a quote about life(very similar to his case) and he told him to go, because his time had not come yet! At that moment he woke up in the hospital surrounded by his family! A few days later he was talking to his bff and telling her how sad he was to have left that place! A week after the video was uploaded he died, but went to heaven!
I went this far to say that you will meet him someday and he is truly in a better place! That said, I wish you a very very happy and long life and don't forget to make the best of it and show the best of you in every single moment of it! ❤️
Reminds me of sitting in hospital alone waiting to have a cancerous tumour removed from my hip.. Not one person was there for me and it's the only time I've ever felt so alone.. Now a few months later I hear this and smile.. Everydays a new day and it does get better 💖

My grandad and my nan died a few months within each other. Grandad died earlier on during that day and my father went to visit because he didn't respond to a call from mother and he saw him, on his favourite chair. My nan died of cancer after a long fight of cancer.. It makes me mad that my sister won't even remember who she was, and she used to even walk around nans house thinking she and nan are still playing hide and seek although nan wasn't there at all.. I was so close to my nan

Reading the comments on this is so frustrating. It's great that you came here for Tori Kelly, but can you not respect Professor Green enough for bringing her through on such a great song? It's not hard to understand him at all, and yes I am British. Prof Green is so talented. No, he won't be the next Eminem, no one will top Eminem's style and he won't be as big as Eminem, but the UK brings through some great rappers from the underground. The UK music scene is bigger than ever and I feel as if some people are just being ignorant to the fact that he is a British rapper.

And for the record he is infact talking about depression as a whole which is a very serious issue that a lot of people suffer with all over the world. And hes also talking quite open about his own personal feelings about how he still struggles with his dads death...i think you should stop comparing him to Eminem. I went to see Eminem as i am a big fan at wembley stadium earlier this year...and half the time he was miming to a pre recorded live version of what ever song he was doing...i paid gd money and he short changed the stadium of fans. Eminem made the mistake of making tracks with no emotion, which I feel Are You Getting Enough was a song without emotion. Loved At Your Convenience and I hope this song is part of a new fresh album filled with more similar-emotion tracks. You know man, I actually thought about this the other day. He's got that generic "fill verses with feelings and then have a catchy chorus" style about him. This song is a resample of "read all about it" from the drums to the female singer "humming" the oh-oh-oh-oh parts in the chorus. Listen to both of them and you see the similarities. I suppose he had a hit, why not milk it further.

Yeah, she's definitely one of those radio rappers like Mackelmore (that dude used to be one of those good underground rappers, like pitbull was before he went dancehall). Most of the best rap is usually found outside of the charts - Nas is an example, that dude still puts out what he wants without needing to sell out to the radio like Jay Z. Eminem is kinda similar although his albums have always had several radio songs (for promotional and sales) then several really raw songs.
Professor green is one of the most talented rapper I've seen, he could rap at different style. Like he did in 3 other song (3 different styles). he play the role of more than one rapper.
