Can we all just take a minute to appreciate Royce's verse? "I remember signing my first deal, now I'm the second best, I can deal with that." He's giving Em credit for being the best, mad respect to Royce for doing that.
I took a good 10 minutes to appreciate it. Then i had to appreciate the rest of it. I dont know how much time i used all together, but it probably wasnt healthy.
Most underrated song of this generation. Bruno Mars goes in soo hard on this right here! Only reason he is getting more hits is cuz he is just watching that short on my channel explaining how all these rappers out here be blowing up so big
you can not be a God for there is only one God and noone will ever be him so i have no idea why you would think you can be one but that is my opinion and a lot of other peoples opinions if they saw this
@@PYROMANIA1988 thank you so much for your words, I am so sorry. Let's sing this song so loud your mother and my brother can hear it. I hope you feel the hug I give you 🖤
Yeah man, every single fucking time when i came here, this song just reminds me old days, beatiful days, days that we feel like we wont ever gonna be happy like that. This world is fucking sucks anymore.
TBH i love revisiting old songs, makes me smile and remember that there was times before the world gone to shit where we used to have fun just chilling and relaxing to these old bangers, takes me back to so many great times in my life i cannot re-live my dude, honestly brings a tear to my eye haha, great times
Shoutout to Bruno, Em, and Royce. This was one of the defining songs of middle school for me. I was a 13-year-old kid who tried to act funny to make friends, never realizing I had to just be me to make the friends who mattered. I was a kid who made up stories, drew cartoons alone in his room, never thinking too far into the future. Ironically, I was too trapped in my imagination to think big. I don't regret it, or else I wouldn't be the man I am today. Now I'm 23, and I'm proud to say I've accomplished more than I ever dreamed. I went to college, went abroad, and now I'm putting myself through school to do a job that won't make millions of dollars, but I hope will make a difference for others. And I'm not done yet! I'm still that same kid who likes to write stories and draw pictures, and no matter what, I'm gonna publish those stories someday. The other day, I felt the saddest I've felt for a while, and it's because this social distancing stuff is finally getting to me. I felt alone and like I wasn't doing anything fulfilling with my life being stuck inside, and that hurt to think about. But now, listening to one of the most inspirational songs of my teen years, I've been reminded of all I've accomplished and all I still need to do. For all of you out there who feel as uplifted by this song as I do, you're not alone in this pandemic. I know you don't know me, and I don't know you, but I know that however alone you might feel, you still have things you know you have to do or want to do. Just keep pushing, bit by bit, and you'll get there, even if you didn't get there the way you thought you would. Someday, you're gonna read my stories, and the rest of the world and I will read yours.
I had the same situation... I was in 6th class and I liked to put shit photos on Instagram just to be famous. After 4 years, I edited my account and I'm not trying to get any attention - this song reminds me a little bit of my earlier life as a girl who posts shit, and earlier 🤗
Even as a Muslim I see this beyond gospel song , I felt the words and it made me reflect that we are just in this world for sometime . May we use most of our time on earth in serving our creator and humanity , may we all live in peace with one another and respect each other's beliefs

When I first heard this song, I was a medical student who many told he had no future, faced a ton of racism, hazing, and now 8 years later I am a professor of ophthalmology and surgeon at one of the best universities in the country. I love listening to this song and thinking “your hate is what gave me the strength” because 8 years ago when I first heard this song, I thought it was hopeless at times. This song reminds me where I came from and that you gotta fight.
I'm glad that you got through it, but, it seems that you have held onto a bit of a grudge. Im not saying this is your case but some people seem to like to achieve things mostly so they can prove other people wrong or prove that you're better than someone (I used to do this) and I'd say that type of thinking doesn't really make you happy; even if you do succeed and prove them wrong In my opinion the most reasonable man only has to prove things to himself
This song reminds me of my bestfriend who is now in heaven. We used to do dumb shit and we always listen to this song as we were on highschool. Now im playing it so loud you can hear it. Thanks for making my childhood days memorable man, Rest in peace my brother. You won't be forgotten.
Hearing this song is like coming home after years of being away, and then being hit by the nostalgia train. It's bitter sweet, but the best feeling like you belong. You, are now home.

To be completely honest I loved everything. The video was nice, Bruno's part was amazing, as was Royce's and Eminem's. The beat was cool, the rythym, I absolutely love this song. My fav since it came out.
Actually polo g has a rap song about being in love with a girl who wants dated a guy who made her felt like shit. And he talks about how cute SHE is to him
3:56 this was honestly my favorite part. After all the build up from Eminem and Royce, Bruno’s send off had so much emphasis and that shit really made me tear up. This song is a hidden gem, a masterpiece, and a roller coaster of emotions

Greetings from 5076... We've developed a time traveling machine specifically to go back in time and greet the men who were featured in this track... The ancient ones Bruno of Mars and the Em an Em.. our history records show that this is indeed how their names were pronounced. Here in 5076 there are no wars, no hunger and this song was one of the songs to make that happen. Be safe everyone

An absolute masterpiece! The beat, rhythm, and lyrics are flawless. Eminem’s flow, Royce’s delivery, and Bruno’s melodic hook blend perfectly. Honestly, I wish this song would never end. A sky full of lighters!

Eminem is the most influential rapper of all time and the GOAT to billions around the not just in the United States. Respect. Royce wants to stop competing to tell Shaddy that he loves and respects him the same way Shaddy loves and respect Dr. Dre. And later in the song says that he has no problem in being the 2nd best in the game. How awesome and amazing frndship Shaddy and Royce have.
Summer 2011. I had this on repeat on my Blackberry playlist. I miss being a teenager. You'd have to be alive during that era to know how special R&B and Hip Hop was.
Em is a legend ❤ living out his dreams and helped raise a whole generation of misunderstood youth going through shit ,, he is a lyrical genius and I’m sure he saved countless ppl with his records. From addiction to toxic relationships to growing up in toxic environments, em uses his gift to help us get through some of the darkest shit in our lives. I swear his album recovery got me through my rehab and detoxing ❤ he will forever be the goat

Berthony Dessin and you can’t never go back to those times
Yeah man, every single fucking time when i came here, this song just reminds me old days, beatiful days, days that we feel like we wont ever gonna be happy like that. This world is fucking sucks anymore.
Yes we are lol
TBH i love revisiting old songs, makes me smile and remember that there was times before the world gone to shit where we used to have fun just chilling and relaxing to these old bangers, takes me back to so many great times in my life i cannot re-live my dude, honestly brings a tear to my eye haha,
great times
Hell yeah we're getting old
Shoutout to Bruno, Em, and Royce.
God bless you my dear friend 🙏🏿
🤟

I had the same situation... I was in 6th class and I liked to put shit photos on Instagram just to be famous. After 4 years, I edited my account and I'm not trying to get any attention - this song reminds me a little bit of my earlier life as a girl who posts shit, and earlier 🤗

Livin' out our dreams
We are right where we should be
With my arms out wide, I open my eyes
And now all I wanna see
Is a sky full of lighters
A sky full of lighters
[Verse 1: Eminem]
By the time you hear this, I will have already spiraled up
I would never do nothin' to let you cowards fuck my world up
If I was you I would duck, or get struck like lightnin'
Fighters keep fightin', put your lighters up, point 'em skyward, uh
Had a dream, I was king; I woke up, still king
This rap game's nipple is mine for the milking
'Til nobody else even fuckin' feels me, 'til it kills me
I swear to God I'll be the fuckin' illest in this music
There is, or there ever will be, disagree? Feel free
But from now on I'm refusing to ever give up
Only thing I ever gave up's using no more excuses
Excuse me if my head is too big for this building
And pardon me if I'm a cocky prick, but you cocks are slick
Poppin' shit on how you flipped your life around, crock of shit
Who you dicks tryna kid? Flip "dick," you did opposite
You stayed the same 'cause "cock" backwards is still "cock," you pricks!
I love it when I tell 'em shove it
‘Cause it wasn’t that long ago when Marshall sat flustered
Lacked luster ‘cause he couldn’t cut mustard
Muster up nothin', brain fuzzy
‘Cause he’s buzzin’, woke up from that buzzer
Now you wonder why he does it how he does it
Wasn’t ‘cause he had buzzards
Circlin' around his head, waitin' for him to drop dead, was it?
Or was it ‘cause some bitches wrote him off?
Little hussy-ass scuzzes
Fuck it, guess it doesn’t matter now, does it?
What difference it make? What’s it take?
To get it through your thick skulls that this ain’t
Some bullshit; people don’t usually come back this way
From a place that was dark as I was in just to get to this place
Now let these words be like a switchblade to a hater’s ribcage!
And let it be known from this day forward, I wanna just say
Thanks, ‘cause your hate is what gave me the strength
So let them Bics raise, ‘cause I came with 5'9", but I feel like I’m 6'8"
[Chorus: Bruno Mars]

And I ain't gotta stop the beat a minute to tell Shady I love him
The same way that he did Dr. Dre on The Chronic

Or how I would kill for him, for him to know it
I cried plenty tears, my daddy got a bad back
So it's only right that I write 'til he can march right
Into that post office and tell 'em to hang it up
Now his career's LeBron's Jersey in twenty years
I stop when I'm at the very top
You shitted on me on your way up, it's 'bout to be a scary drop
‘Cause what goes up must come down
You goin' down on somethin' you don't wanna see, like a hairy box
Every hour, happy hour now, life is wacky now
Used to have to eat the cat to get the pussy
Now I'm just the cat's meow, oow, outclass the count
Always down for the catchweight like Pacquiao
Y'all are doomed
I remember when T-Pain ain't wanna work with me
My car starts itself, parks itself, and auto-tunes
‘Cause now I'm in the Aston; I went from havin'
My city locked up to gettin' treated like Kwame Kilpatrick
And now I'm fantastic, compare it to a weed high
And y'all niggas that's gossipin' like bitches
On a radio and TV, see me, we fly
Y'all buggin' out like Wendy Williams starin' at a beehive
And how real is that? I remember signin' my first deal
Now I'm the second best, I can deal with that
Now Bruno can show his ass, without the MTV awards gag
[Bridge: Bruno Mars]
You and I know what it's like
To be kicked down, forced to fight
But tonight, we're all right
So hold up your lights
Let it shine, 'cause-
[Chorus: Bruno Mars]

When I first heard this song, I was a medical student who many told he had no future, faced a ton of racism, hazing, and now 8 years later I am a professor of ophthalmology and surgeon at one of the best universities in the country. I love listening to this song and thinking “your hate is what gave me the strength” because 8 years ago when I first heard this song, I thought it was hopeless at times. This song reminds me where I came from and that you gotta fight.

I'm glad that you got through it, but, it seems that you have held onto a bit of a grudge. Im not saying this is your case but some people seem to like to achieve things mostly so they can prove other people wrong or prove that you're better than someone (I used to do this) and I'd say that type of thinking doesn't really make you happy; even if you do succeed and prove them wrong
In my opinion the most reasonable man only has to prove things to himself

An absolute masterpiece! The beat, rhythm, and lyrics are flawless. Eminem’s flow, Royce’s delivery, and Bruno’s melodic hook blend perfectly. Honestly, I wish this song would never end. A sky full of lighters!

Go outside America, i guarantee you no one knows any other rapper while Eminem is known in all countries like India, Russia, South Africa, China etc.. LYRICS
This one's for you and me, living out our dreams
We're all right where we should be
With my arms out wide I open my eyes
And now all I wanna see
Is a sky full of lighters
A sky full of lighters
By the time you hear this I will have already spiraled up
I would never do nothing to let you cowards fuck my world up
If I was you, I would duck, or get struck like lightening,
Fighters keep fighting, put your lighters up, point 'em' skyward uh
Had a dream I was king, I woke up, still king
This rap game's nipple is mine for the milking,
Till nobody else even fucking feels me, till' it kills me
I swear to god I'll be the fucking illest in this music
There is or there ever will be, disagree?
Feel free, but from now on I'm refusing to ever give up
Only thing I ever gave up's using no more excuses
Excuse me if my head is too big for this building
And pardon me if I'm a cocky prick but you cocks are slick
Poppin' shit on how you flipped ya life around, crock-o-shit
Who you dicks try to kid, flipped dick, you did the opposite
You stayed the same, 'cause cock backwards is still cock you pricks
I love it when I tell 'em shove it
Cause it wasn't that long ago when Marshall sat, luster lacked, lustered
'Cause he couldn't cut mustard, muster up nothing
Brain fuzzy, 'cause he's buzzin', woke up from that buzz
Now you wonder why he does it, how he does it
Wasn't 'cause he had buzzards circle around his head
Waiting for him to drop dead, was it?
Or was it, 'cause them bitches wrote him off
Little hussy ass buzzards, fuck it, guess it doesn't matter now, does it
What difference it make?
What it take to get it through your thick skulls
As if this ain't some bullshit
People don't usually come back this way
From a place that was dark as I was in
Just to get to this place
Now let these words be like a switch blade to a haters rib cage
And let it be known from this day forward
I wanna just say thanks 'cause your hate is what gave me the strength
So let 'em bic's raise 'cause I came with five nine
But I feel like I'm six eight
This one's for you and me, living out our dreams
We're all right where we should be
With my arms out wide I open my eyes
And now all I wanna see
Is a sky full of lighters
A sky full of lighters
By the time you hear this I'll probably already be outtie
I advance like going from toting iron
To going and buying four or five of the homies the iron man Audi
My daddy told me slow down, boy, you goin' to blow it
And I ain't gotta stop the beat a minute
To tell Shady I love him the same way that he did Dr.Dre on the Chronic
Tell him how real he is or how high I am
Or how I would kill for him for him to know it
I cried plenty tears, my daddy got a bad back
So it's only right that I right
Till he can march right
Into that post office and tell 'em to hang it up
Now his career's Lebron's jersey in twenty years
I'll stop when I'm at the very top
You shitted on me on your way up
It's 'bout to be a scary drop
Cause what goes up must come down
You going down on something you don't wanna see like a hairy box
Every hour, happy hour now
Life is wacky now
Used to have to eat the cat to get the pussy
Now I'm just the cats meow, ow
Classic cow, always down for the catch weight like Pacquiao
Y'all are doomed
I remember when T-Pain ain't wanna work with me
My car starts itself, parks itself and auto-tunes
'Cause now I'm in the Aston
I went from having my city locked up
To getting treated like Kwame Kilpatrick
And now I'm fantastic
Compared to a weed high
And y'all niggas just gossipin' like bitches on a radio and TV
See me, we fly
Y'all buggin' out like Wendy Williams staring at a bee-hive
And how real is that
I remember signing my first deal
And now I'm the second best I can deal with that
Now Bruno can show his ass, without the MTV awards gag
You and I know what it's like to be kicked down
Forced to fight, but tonight we're alright
So hold up your light, let it shine 'cause
This one's for you and me, living out our dreams
We're all right where we should be
With my arms out wide I open my eyes
And now all I wanna see
Is a sky full of lighters
A sky full of lighters
