- The Emirates Electric Vehicle Road Trip was an amazing experience.
A combination of educational exercise, motivation to open new charging stations throughout the Emirates and a wonderful tour of an incredible area of the world.
The Emirates are investing more in renewables than you can literally poke a stick at.
They extract huge amounts of oil that they sell to us and they are using the money to create a long term, viable and sustainable energy infrastructure.
Okay, and they are building some ridiculously tall towers.

I'm a total EV-head and watch related videos nearly everyday - says my YT history. But watching this presentation, the subject became secondary to the masterful video, audio and editing work that would make some at the BBC blush. If Mark can do this on a Patreon budget, imagine what he'll do with a few thousands. Congratulations, Mark, simply stunning work.
Thanks very much! That's very kind. Yeah you're right though, We were very fortunate to have been flown out and put up by the wonderful EVRT team. As for the production, yeah it's all done on consumer gear that you can buy on the high street and edited on Final Cut Pro. This episode was supported via Patreon. TBH the Model X they're driving, is probably faster than that Ferrari.
Over a short distance it probably is. Although once we're over 160kph or so the Ferrari will take it.
also it wouldn't surprise me if the Model X has a greater range than the fuel-guzzling Ferrari does.
Such range anxiety in these inefficient fossil burning cars, urgh!
At full performance, range might be the same though.

As a lover of cold and snow, I don't believe I could imagine a more horrendous place for me to visit. But it did look pretty.

The snow actually hit the mountains in Ras Al Khaimah which is a bit higher than the desert.

Spain had the same car trip adventure along the coast last summer. The trips are organized by the car owners, it's like an adventure vacation for them.
The electric car owners are awesome !

Blown away by the excellent video work. This is a 'like' to Mark and his camera/editing skills. Also great coverage of electric transportation where you wouldn't expect it to get such a high profile, (for now, anyway!).

That was fantastic filming had no idea there as the hills or mountains even in UAE, always had this image of miles and miles of sand dunes really. Another great episode thanks to Mark for fantastic cinematography and Robert for the as usual great commentary/hosting.
