Selection for the job is scrutinized very carefully." "Raise your hand if you are interested." (sound of crickets) "Well, think about it, and let me know sometime tonight if you're interested." About an hour later. A1C Wootie (speaking to F/C during post check) "Hey Sarge, what exactly are the requirements for CSC ComPlotter?" Flight Chief: "Well Airman Wootie, can you type?" A1C Wootie: " Ummm..yea, but....." Flight Chief: "Excellent, you're ComPlotter now!"
I was stationed there from early 1978 till September 1979. It was a long time ago and boy has the base changed. I was in law enforcement and loved it.

What was the SPS Squadron name before the 354th? Back in the 1980 I think it was the 343rd but my memory is too foggy. Help
William Hockstedler Yes, it was the 343rd Alaskan Air Command. I was stationed at Eielson from 80-82, Security Police.
