Change Hyperlink Name in Excel
In this exciting UA-cam video, I will show you a trick to transform your Ugly hyperlink into a User friendly name! No more 1000 character Hyperlinks.
First of all, I will show you a technique to transform a URL into a link by just clicking in the formula bar and pressing Enter. Then we will right click on the link and go to a menu to change the Name of the hyperlink and add a screen tip (small user help when you hover on the link)!
Then, we will look at another way to create a link by directly accessing the menu and changing a few parameters.
Finally, we will look at the hyperlink formula. This formula has a parameter called "Friendly Name". This is how you can automatically give a name to the Hyperlink. The cool part of the formula is that it is dynamic. If something changes, it will automatically update!

The best way to do this is to use the hyperlink formula. You should have the shortened name in cells in excel and use the formula (you can drag the formula). In this video, at the end, i show how you can get the names of all the files you have in a folder and extract shorter names to use in the formula. My issue is I want to change it from the name back to the url

@@DianasFourreasons if u know the url, then u can use the formula with the url or just the formula and leave the name parameter empty. If ur issue is that u want to extract the url from a link, then it s another video that i did not publish yet
