I bought the Sport in April because of the cruise control. Excellent feature. You can also cancel it by hitting the "cruise" button. Does take some getting used to. Great video as always. Have fun!! 👍
Thank you for taking time Saturday to talk with me about UA-cam and that Ryker. MotoMember has been good to me since I first went there in 2019 and bought my F3-Limited. Billy “Spyder Man” has been great to work with on each of my three purchases since then. Best wishes and ryde safe.
Beth, thanks for the video, I think I'l reach out to MotoMember for my purchase. As for a few points you mentioned: Cruise Control - Agree..adding a + & - to the right side of cruise button would be easy and beneficial and I hope Can-Am is watching/reading your video's ! Can-Am Audio System - What you mention about audio volume level adjustment could also not only be easy..but be AUTOMATED !. They have had this technology on automobiles for years. The operator can adjust the level of change and the volume is linked to the vehicle speed sensor (VSS). So, can-Am could link the audio system to the on-board VSS and have the volume go UP as speed increases and DOWN as you decelerate. This feature can also be turned off so volume stays the same throughout. Thanks again for the video...BTW, any idea when the 2023 announcements will be..should be coming soon.
Thanks so much for the detailed comment!! Totally agree!! Not sure when the new 2023 announcement will be. Doubt there will be any big changes. Can am is gearing up for their electric versions.
Thanks 4 another Great Video! Your enthusiasm and dedication to all the Ca Am Fans is inspiring to all Ryker and Spyder fans! This information is essential in knowing what is available for selecting a new Can Am! (and I did hear "powder coating"!) Your time, effort and energy is greatly appreciated ! RideWithPeace.
My wife loves her 2022 Ryker Rally. It did take a little time to get use to operating the cruise control. We have done several mods like tank bag, dual horn and under seat lights
Really??? From can am??? I was told, 💯 that was not possible. You are the 2nd person that mentioned this. That is awesome. I need to get the information corrected.
Absolutely. But the problem is during a sudden problem or avoiding a sudden accident. Your first instinct is to slam on the brake, not to release the throttle lock. Just be safe.
I use them too BUT the Ryker doesn't have a clutch that you can pull in and seperate the engine from the drive wheel in an emergency . If someone panics and doesn't chop the throttle then it's fast forward with the brakes on ! Hang on Bettsy we're going for a ride , lol.
The clutch is on the left grip sooo you roll the right grip forward and there you go. When you put over 300 thousand miles on a bike then you can give instructions. Most of this BS comes from people who have less than 3 hundred miles on a Ryker!!
@@thomasvincent5323 Before you starting talking smack about Beth, be sure of your facts. And yes, you are absolutely correct, Thomas. Most of the BS comes from people who have never ridden the bike, or rather, the specific bike that is being talked about. In this case, the clutch is not on the left grip. Why, you ask? Because the Ryker does not have a clutch. It is an automatic, a CVT.
Take it slow and enjoy the process. Ride your Rally for a bit, then see what you really need. When you’re ready, check out my store: www.RykerRydes.com
Nice review! One thing I noticed that you didn't mention is the passenger seat appears to be a comfort seat pad as well. That's incredible if it's a better padded seat. As a passenger, I feel like I'm sitting on my pelvic bones when I ride on the back and it gets incredibly uncomfortable very quickly. I'm curious how much better the new one is vs the old version. I'm bummed that the Adventure windshield isn't compatible with the music. That might be a deal breaker for me if the standard one is the only one that fits. Thanks for all the hard work you do to get this content out to us. Sorry I'm so late responding!
You are 💯 correct. I didn’t notice/pay attention to the passenger seat at all. My apologies. As far as the windshield compatibility goes, I’m sure if you’re handy, you can make the bigger windshield work? Ps sorry for my delayed response, I am still on my bike trip.
It's called powder coat because it's actually a dust / powder that is applied with static electricity and then baked on. I have the 22 rally. Mine died 10minutes off the lot. Never made it home first day. I didn't get it from service for 3 weeks. They replaced a defective wiring harness. I like it, it's a great ride. I wish mine was powder coated, but I may do that later.
Damn. I hope I dont have this issue. I am going to pick up mine tomorrow but a lot of people are having a similar issue. Makes me not want to move forward with the purchase
I’ve had my Ryker since 2019, I’ve never had an issue. There’s so many of us out there that don’t get online every day, and say what a great bike we have. Only the people with issues are going on mention any problems.
Once it brakes in theirs a little different in the muffler.. I’m sorry but the cruise control don’t stay at same speed unless it’s just mine because I can set it at 55 n it will drop to 53 every so often
Good morning. Very good video. Sorry for my English, I'm from Spain and I don't practice much. I would like to ask you a question, would it be possible to install cruise control on a Ryker Rally ace 2020???. Thank you very much for your videos. Greetings from Spain.
Hola! No, it is not possible to install a cruise control on a 2020 Ryker Rally, at this time. PS your English is better than most people I know! Great job.
I also wish they would have put an Accel-Decel button to increase or decrease speed while in cruise control mode. Also the Set button is too far away from your thumb. For sound you can't beat an in the helmet communication system like the Cardo Pack talk Bold that I use . The sound increases or decreases with speed automatically. Before that I used ear buds and an Ipod . That's good also . But you can used your phone now instead of an Ipod , lol.
I don't see anything wrong with a throttle lock if used properly. You should always have your hand on the throttle, no matter if you are accelerating, decelerating, have cruise control, or throttle lock. You should also always roll the throttle forward when decelerating so you don't accidentally use it while braking, and most locks will disengage when you do that.
Absolutely. But the problem is during a sudden problem or avoiding a sudden accident. Your first instinct is to slam on the brake, not to release the throttle lock. Just be safe.
@@RykerRydes I suppose you are right. I don't plan on riding on the highway for long stretches so I don't really think much about throttle locks/cc, otherwise I would opt for a Spyder.
Nice upgrades but don't like the mounted radio. You need to turn that up load to hear with a helmet on and in Florida your sound can't transmit more than 25 ft. Use Bluetooth and you phone won't be annoying to other drivers.
