  • Can Am made some nice updates to their Ryker Rally. Very easy and fun to ride but more attention to detail is needed!

    Great overview of the Ryker Rally. I would highly recommend at least a day of instruction on any 3WMC to develop some skills that you my not even consider in a car. The Rykers and the Spyders are not motorcycles, but neither are they cars. They require their own skill sets that while not complex can save your neck in tricky situations. The Ryker and the Spyder bring a level of fun and enjoyment to open air riding that is unequalled.

    I do not know if you will see this comment but this video has opened my eyes to the Ryker in comparison to the Spyder , I am coming off a Hayabusa and no longer interested in 2-wheeled sport bikes , had to sell the Hayabusa due to medical illness and want to ride again, so 3-wheels i am leaning towards, i see you have not produced any vids in a long time , hope all is well with you, great content and i did subbed ,HAGD

    I purchased a 2022 900 ace in May and I love it! Thanks again for the videos, they were helpful. I do agree that the ease of operation could lead to some having premature confidence.
    I was looking at the Rally version as well, but the only appealing aspect was the suspension. A lot of people say it's night and day difference to the standard 900, so I'll look into the cost. Being 6'2" and 270, the 900 definitely has enough power to get going, but I agree with the seat becomes more annoying the longer one rides. Have you had any experience with the Solo Driver Comfort Seat? I know it's a good bit bigger, but would you know if it is more comfortable than the 900 standard stock counterpart?

    • @leeridefar
      @leeridefar  2 роки тому +5

      Anything will be more comfortable than the stock seat. Bigger the better. What is equally important is the kind of pants you were. Jeans or any casual clothes offer no padding whereas motorcycle pants quite often do making longer rides more comfortable.

    Can't believe that their customer base is as content with the ergonomics as most Harley riders are with their Harleys😂 the upright lip on the seat is horrid because the forward pegs make it so.
    The foot brake must be a nightmare to modulate during leans, why not a hand brake? And why cruiser peg positions? Should be continuous, grabby platforms that extend to under the seat so riders can choose, and throw in some bar end stoppers too lest hands slide out at high Gs.

    • @leeridefar
      @leeridefar  5 місяців тому

      You are correct about the seat. It needs to go.
      The foot brake is fine and it is adjustable so it works well. Hand brake would be fine too. Pegs are adjustable so they can be moved back so it is an upright position.

      Never tested it to it’s rated top speed of 100mph/160kmh. Never could get it there on the track and on the street it’s difficult as the unevenness of the pavement can really move you around (can am stays planted, your body doesn’t). It’s not comfortable or enjoyable riding and cornering at very high speeds. The complicated physics of three wheels is limiting. Everything between 0-70mph/0-120kph is enjoyable.

    Couple things annoy me on the Ryker, the 'security' system that isn't. Unless they've updated it, just about every Ryker key will start another Ryker. The handlebars mount feels really cheap/flimsy. 2-3 of the ones in my class the steering was way off and not right, it just doesn't seem very substantial and considering your life depends upon this connection it does not sit well with me. Display is a bit outdated but for this type of machine it's not a huge deal, less distractions actually.
