If you're wondering why Guile is dressed that way it's because he has a billiards tournament right after this and his house is in the other direction. Just makes more sense this way if you think about it.

Daigo is just not good enough… watch angry bird and see how he uses Akuma… Higuchi made a lot of mistakes in this fight & Daigo couldn’t punish him ruthlessly
One week experience with the character vs one year experience makes a big diff.
To be honest I have watched a lot of Daigo playing Akuma on his streams, it is hard to tell because I am not really fluent in japanese, but I feel like he also tries to be very experimental and weird with him sometimes. If not downright trollish. This leads to him doing a lot of stuff that might not work/seems to make no sense.
@arthurrosa9403 One year would imply Guile's playstyle is not 90% like it was in SF5.
He still has sonic blade, sonic puncher, and boom loops.
And if you take those the rest of his kit is 30 years old.

His own fault for being so inefficient with his Level 2. He should have killed Akuma but choose to pop his lvl1 early in the combo with more booms still available. He deserved that loss

Does Akumas Hadouken have faster startup than Ryus? It looks much faster
It's actually the same, 16 frames on light, 14 on medium, 12 on heavy and OD. The peculiar animation makes it look faster.

It is, but if your inputs are tight enough, he’ll say perfect and you’ll get a harder hitting boom instead of the regular sonic boom

Overall, incredible back and forth. I play Guile mostly so that moment at 12:32 was really satisfying.

Why does guile now yell "perfect" instead of "fanic foom"?

Because if you hit punch within 2 frames of hitting forward it's considered a perfect input and does more damage. For non-perfect inputs he will just say sonic boom like normal.

He will say "perfect" if your Sonic boom input are perfect. Otherwise he will just say Sonic boom as usual

I wonder how many people will stick with Akuma after 2-3 weeks. It seems like his HP, while his only weakness, is a huge weakness. I have seen Marisa/Gief's just obliterate akuma from 1-2 wrong guesses. Like this very video at around 12.5 one (admittedly great) guile combo took like 60% and change life. A guile combo.
It’ll be the same as it always is. Akuma will be high tier but too inconsistent for tournament play so the only dudes playing him will be the usual character loyalists.
That's just playing Akuma for you. He basically has an answer for every situation imaginable, but is really squishy.

Cause he's doing the perfect input version that gives slightly higher damage and hitstun. He still says "Sonic Boom" on the non-perfect input

@@annoyedhitsuji2865 I might be wrong, but I think it's the new jukebox they recently added to the game with the Akuma update. Basically you can choose other character's themes from the previous titles to be played during a match. Pretty cool. They're also unlockabke for free if you're fine with grinding a little.

It should be something that gives you hope that even OlD pEoPlE can be top level players. It gives you more time to get good. It means that you can keep this up as a hobby even into your "bOoMeR" years and not feel out of place in the scene. (Should that be "Sonic Boomer?") Up your game, don't gatekeep.
