Why didn't Syndrome have any kind of backup plan or weapon that could take out the Omnidriod when it turned against him? Couldn't he have used his zero point energy rays to at least freeze it long enough to come up with something?
@@dargarossa9554 Then maybe he should have programmed it not to attack him. It just seems odd to me how such a super genuis could overlook such a minor loophole.
@@dargarossa9554 Syndrome literally haulted a falling tanker truck mid air with no trouble at all using his energy ray. The zero point field is a result of vibrational energy that molecules retain at the lowest possible temperature, known as absolute zero. Zero point energy harnessing, in theory, produces unlimited power. The power doesn't come from his laser by a set upward limit, the laser possesses and manipulates the molecules in whatever object it shoots to absolute zero. The only way Syndrome's energy ray wouldn't work on the Omnidroid is if he purposefully built the Omnidriod to resist it. And considering that he never expected the Omnidroid to retaliate against him, he most likely did not build the robot with that in mind. I think the best explanation for why he didn't fight back is he was genuinely in shock at what happened, and before he could get his bearings back, it had already took him out.
@@NcxX-c8f So, I was actually looking through some of the canonical powers of the supers in this movie, and I came across something interesting. Apogee, one of the supers lured by project Kronos, possessed the following powers; Gravity Manipulation: "Apogee had the ability to control gravity to allow her to manipulate the weight and motion of objects, to suspend and levitate targets in the air, send them flying back or fourth, or slam them down to the ground with hand gestures." And by the looks of it, she was killed off by Omnidroid v. X4 which was built with the technology in mind to inhibit powers such as gravity manipulation. Going by that factor, and if Apogee's powers worked in a similar way to Syndrome's zero point anti gravity ray, it is likely that the Omnidriod V10, the final version of the robot, had the hardware necessary to counteract the likes of Syndrome's energy rays or something similar.
