- The police call this one of the worst roads in all of New Zealand. It has unsealed sections, tight and curvy sections, and a very narrow tunnel (nicknamed Hobbit's Hole). We were told by Kiwis that we HAD to take a day and drive this road. It did not disappoint.

I followed your adventures on your previous trip to New Zealand, so will follow this one as well. Forgotten World Highway is not that bad, just drive to the conditions. The Moki tunnel used to be smaller (height), but the bottom was dug out a number of years ago so that stock (cattle/sheep) trucks could get through. The mountain at the end of your video is Mount Egmont (also known as Mount Taranaki) and is indeed a volcano.
to short.. loved it
You did it. Epic. Totally.
Thanks so much for the recommendation Craig!
Very nice video (and family)

I need some of Ellie and Eli’s energy! lol
Ditto :)
I love the adventure vibe of this trip. And what a beautiful country. Your videos always drive me (no pun intended) to look things up and I find myself immersed in interesting aspects of history that make me think of the whole world differently. We get home schooled by your videos. A lot of fun.
This makes my heart happy to read Jane.
Be careful of the daddy monster. Alyssa was attacked twice, and now she has children.
😂
If you want a scary road you need to drive Skippers canyon road in Queenstown. Enjoy your trip as NZ is stunning.
Will have to look this one up. I agree that this one didn't feel too scary or dangerous at all (that's just what the interwebs told us).
Haha - I think most rental companies actually name Skippers as one they will not allow!
