It looks amazing Gina! The windows and window panes are gorgeous! Looking forward to seeing what you create with the 3D printer. GARGOYLES! Yes please!
Haha, yes gargoyles are first on the list. I did consider sculpting them from clay, but thought a 3D printer would be way simpler and I managed to find a file online, yay!
Love the louvered windows and thank you so much for the files. It is looking so good. You are proud of the lattice on the windows for good reason - they are beautiful!
Oh Gina I love it, I’ve just finished watching Wednesday, it’s a brilliant tv series, can’t wait for season two to come out, I think the girl that plays Wednesday looks like Johnny Depp especially the eyes, and she played the role absolutely brilliantly, tfs x Julie 🇬🇧
Hey Julie, I loved the show too and was pleased with how they brought to life the story line with Wednesday growing up, can't wait for season 2 for sure. Yes she does look a little like Johnny Depp, it might be the high cheek bones too 😃
Sometimes I think only the miniaturist sees the ugly stage. I only see it in my own work lol. You will be able to do incredible things with your 3D printer, I have a lot of faith in your talent! Ophelia Hall is going to be so fresh at the miniature show!
Hi Cassandra, I think you might be right, and we are the hardest critiques on ourselves. I am very happy with how its coming together and the printer hasn't stopped since I put it together lol
@@GinasMiniatureStudio Please do show us any that don't turn out and what you think happened. I'm on the shelf about investing and you are a great teacher. Keep having fun lol!
The corner joint you created is called a half lap corner. (My dad and grandfather were both woodworkers.) and……there is no ugly stage in anything you do. It’s just that the full potential has not been reached yet. We all know it will be awesome when you are done!
Thank you Valerie, you are too kind. And thanks for the name of the corner joint, super cool that both your father and grandfather were woodworkers, I bet having had those skills in the family was a big help to your miniatures 🤗 😊
Yes, thank you for the files! I am going to have to try those louvered vents myself, because I just can't wrap my head around how you can bend the louvers without tearing them. I have a project coming up that has some louvered "glass" windows in it...I'm wondering if the same process could be done with some kind of acrylic sheet? 🤔 Anyway, Ophelia Hall is looking fantastic!
Hi Jennifer, I am sure it can be done. I have done other louvers/shutters with a slightly different technique, in this video ua-cam.com/video/NrVXSO1zkPo/v-deo.html which may work better for the acrylic sheet, depending on how you are going to cut it. Hope that helps 😊

Thank you Alicia and you are welcome. It took a while to get the lattice built and put together, so more than happy to share so you don't have to 😃
Great work! I can see it taking a long time to piece together!
