Ellie was Paula's anchor, and if you are blessed enough to been given that kind of relationship with another creature., you know what a special privilege that is. Thank you for sharing, and thank you Lewis for the smile at the end.
Thanks for sharing Paula's story. My heart goes out to her. I think most animal lovers become that way because of connections like this that happen out of the blue and are so deep. And what a way to end that story with a smiling baby face. Circle of life.
Oh my …. How incredibly touching. I’m watching at work and am struggling to keep the tears at bay. Thank you for sharing your vulnerability …. We need more of that in the world. ❤
Ellie Mae’s story is such a testiment to our connection to animals and how they enrich our lives in so many ways. Thank you Paula for kindly sharing her full story. I was crying along with you. 🙏✨ That Lewis is a darling! He and Maeve are such twins and wow do they look like Amanda or what?! 😊
Paula, thank you for sharing the story of your Ellie Mae. She was one special sheep. Lewis, what a cutie! Oh, those teeth can be tough on babe and family. I hope they quickly resolve for him.
Thank you for sharing Ellie’s story. For those that don’t have animals it is often difficult to realise they become part of the family and when their time comes to leave this earth we mourn their loss as a loved one. What a wonderful tribute, It is clear she was extra special. ❤
Thank you Peggy for the tip about parasites in sheep. We are dealing with that right now with our 3 newly purchased lambs (8 months old). We are new to sheep and want to learn all we can to keep our beloved animals healthy! We can relate to Elle Mae’s story. 😢
Paula, I'm so sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing a part of your heart with us. God bless you and Ellie Mae. I really love this podcast and hope to get to go to Millapolooza. Happy knitting 💚🧶💚
Always a joy -- and Lewis is getting to big -- and what a cutie! Thanks for sharing as always and I am SOOOOO excited that I got a mill bag this time around before sold out. ❤to Paula Aarons - what a beautiful tribute. Neon pink -- heart be still -- maybe a purple on the horizon?
Thank you so much for ellie mays story. I remember her story from before. So thank you for bringing this part of being shepards for these wonderful animals. 😊 I didn't get the brat in Lime but the pink looks wonderful. Always love your millcast and Lewis is getting so big he's adorable.
I am so sorry abt ellie mae😢 she sounded like the perfect sheep. My heart breaks hearing your story. It's never easy losing a loved one. Know I am thinking about all of you & happy Elie went peacefully.❤❤
Thank you for sharing. It's not just about yarn. It really is about all creatures, great and small. Who knew knitting would open the doors to so many incredible life stories, and learning? I'm sure we're all sitting watching this and shedding a tear in celebration of a wonderful life. ♥♥♥
Thank you again for another wonderful visit with you at the mill. Our prayers are with Paula and the flock. Thank you so much for sharing with all of us. ❤
Thanks to Paula for her story. It really touched me. I had a horse that I had such a special relationship with. My best friend of all time and he got me through a really rough time in my life. I understand Paula's grief and the absolute joy of having a special relationship like that in my life. God bless.

I've only just stumbled upon you 2! A few millcasts in so far. I'm hooked!! I'll be going back to the beginning to catch up but look forward to what's to come. Writing from southern NH but also have a cabin in Lunenburg VT.
I’m so glad I ordered my brat in time. This color is amazing. I love it so much. Do you have a yarn I could pare it with? I’m thinking a larger project because I love it so much. Your sweaters are wonderful.
Question: The raspberry eye of sheep, is it the same as "pink eye" or different again? Yarn - here in Australia traditionally a 25g (1oz) ball was 62.5m or for 50g 125m. Is it the same a across the board - internationally?
Not the same! Raspberry means very healthy! I don't even know if sheep get pink eye. A 1 oz ball is equal to 28.3 grams. The length of the yarn, meters or yards, depends on how thin or thick the yarn is. Does that make sense?
Thank you all so much for having Paula back to tell the story and love of Ellie Mae. I am so very sorry for the loss of Ellie Mae, Paula.
🐑💕

Maybe Constellation or Deep End?
The neon fuchsia will be the Brat’s little sister Pesty.

Not a dry eye in the audience today. Got another something for the sign: Ewe looking for me?
Love it! Thanks
I’ve heard it called “try it on tubing,” but is that its real name?! 🧐🤨🤓🤔😲
Barber Cords!
