    The wind was quite strong this day (30km/h+) so we took the opportunity to do some groundhandling which turned into a hovering and proximity session. Was really fun to do it and learnt a fair bit as the wind was just right.
    Next time we have it like this we can try to do some wagga challenges :)

    I wish I knew more of the specifics of hovering before I attempted to do it in Morocco in April 2019. Long story short, strong wind became weaker, I had my brakes waaay too deep, and I quickly found the stall point of my wing. Problem was, I was more than 6 meters off the deck. Collapsed, ended up fracturing my pelvis in two places, dislocating my arm, and broke a couple ribs. Thankfully that's all that happened. Got to ride in my first private jet to be medevaced to NL. Thankfully I am able to learn from these mistakes and fly better than I ever have. Keep up the good work guys!

    That's looks like a lot of fun, and also something really good to practice with your wing.

    Well done. My son mostly and I somewhat did something similar on the outer banks of North Carolina. It was actually some playing we did prior to our actual ppg training. I’m eager to go again. I suppose I should post it too.

    Wicked! Brings back the feeling I had on Rushup (as you know steeper hill so less wind of course). I guess the only way it could be better is a nice sand dune! Have yet to fly the coast 😍👍 makes great satisfying watching!

    Interesting little clip of the kiteboarder Joao right at the end, getting some serious gliding time. You guys might have to do some cross-training with him and hook him up with a groundhandling wing while he schools you on his kiteboard wing. May be time for some experimentation there.

    I wish I had a beach with a dune close for me to get this kind of practice, closest option is about 4 1/2-5 hours drive, my mountain locations are about an hour, so obviously I fly mostly mountain thermal sites.

    That looks like so freakin much fun. Seeing him up there under that kiting wing looks really weird. I'm guessing you probably better know what you are doing to do that? It looks to me like you could get into some pretty uncontrollable pendulum modes if you let it get away from you. Just guessing, though.

    Qual era a velocidade do vento nesse dia? Mais ou menos.
    How much wind speed? Can you tell?
    I will try do the same next weekend in Florianópolis - Brazil

    • @AndreBandarra1
      @AndreBandarra1  3 роки тому +2

      Around 30-35km/h at the bottom of the hill and 40-45 at the top. The wind changed throughout the day so the wind is not the same on all the shots.
