Thank you so much for this video! I really appreciate, I was referred by Ted, he helped me throughout the whole process with no extra cost. This is my referral as promised mx076 on telegram.
@@ВарвараШершнева-ъ8н unfortunately it appears their Crowd SAFE is built off the original pre-money valuation instead of post-money which is the SAFE of choice today
I didn't watch the Q and A at the end so forgive me if this was answered. How has dilution not changed? Companies like Pipe are huge now and they're totally non-dilutive. In fact i came across a company called fundstory that has a bunch of these financers that are 100% non dilutive and I'm sure theres more than that. So why does she say dilution hasn't changed?? Did i miss something?
What about doing a convertible note where you have the “option “ to pay it back , with interest, and a small equity bonus as a thank you - anyone heard of this ?
did you watch? Convertible notes where originally used as bridge loans between rounds and then they started being used as SEED and PRESEED. Not ideal because it still takes that negotiation time and shows as debt on the companies books. The SAFE is meant to get the money fast so that Founders can build their company.
I hear it is not a good idea to tell VCs what you value your company at even if they ask you but don’t they fault founders for not being able to value their company because they did not do enough work to know their valuation
Video used a lot of jargon without explaining any of it. Funny how the last video told you to not use jargon and not tell long stories, but the next video does exactly that
This is one of the most effective lectures i have ever taken. Kudos to the lecturer
Carolynn is modest; Carolynn actually wrote the original Safe (and maybe the revised post-money Safe)

Honestly the history of before vs. after was incredibly valuable as someone that never lived the "before" part. Thank you.
This lady is remarkably coherent for a financial type.
It's because she's not. She's a lawyer.

The 4 SAFE documents are all for accredited investors. Can you create one for non-accredited investors?

Don't wry 90 % start up founders don't know this.. But just learn day by day
His point is invest early. Better to know this, yet is all right to know these things later as lknv as you can survive
اتمنى ان اكون اول من سوريه اللاذقيه ابو الحسين زهيري أن أتكلم معكي يا قلبي انتي حبيبتي الغاليه على قلبي وروحي وعيني تسهر على ضوء القمر

Why does YC need so many partners. Need to be more selective.
Why ?
Made it much clearer for me what's the modern way 👍
Is the AMA session Carolynn mentioned at the end available online?
